The coverup tattoo of the Swastika tattoo is another Nazi homage with Windows88. 88 is shorthand for HH, the first H is Heil. Sick stuff.
Came here to say the same. Not a personal growth thing, just a different dogwhistle that will maybe go unnoticed with more people than the swastika
I wondered about that. Glad someone else noticed.
Yeah, if this was a person who genuinely changed, great for them. But the 88 shows no, they were just trying to be more subtle, but still believed it.
I thought the 88 was already there, and they then added the "windows" at the same time as the "cover up" attempt because it was the only thing they could come up with. They either have an infection or an allergic reaction to the I know or second skin or whatever the used over it. But that makes it hard to tell if the 88 was done at the same time or not.
I do hope they have changed their ways. But if they have it makes me sad that they made such a mess in an attempt to cover it. Especially when there are some tattoo artists out there who will do amazing cover ups for free, as long as you are genuine in your growth.

Tattoos like this are just teaching me to not let an artist freehand. You see the sketch before they put it on you. Don't cheap out on something that's gonna be on you forever
^ I'll add to this, don't feel bad to say no (politely) if a sketch isn't up to the standard you want. Even if it means losing a deposit for the work they've done drawing it up.
99% of artists who are this far off from being able to match a reference pic know it, and if they're any sort of professional they'll accept your refusal gracefully. (Especially if you don't fight them on the deposit.) "Wasting" a deposit is better than losing the money and time it'd take to get the thing removed or covered later.

Also the 88 doesn't make that cover up better because it's a common code amongst people who would get the original tattoo in the first place which absolutely sucks as a 1988 baby 😩
Yeah I was just about to comment this so they're aware, 88 is a code for heil Hitler (the letter H being the 8th in the alphabet). I hope Jamie and Shaaba see this ❤ (but guys please don't feel bad, it's not your fault you didn't know)
I wasn't born in 88, I just like the number. Basically all of my account names have "88" in them somewhere and I am SO ANGRY that it's become a hate symbol.

About tattoos, I remember when my sister went to get a Harry Potter tattoo I was so, so pissed with her because, at that time, HP used to be MY thing, I was the "original" fan in our family, she just tagged along. And I didn't had the money to do a tattoo. Nowadays I remember this moment and think "I really dodged a bullet" 😅

Windows 88 in that cover up tells me that person did not change ttheir opinion, they just try to hide it more, I guess. Check the eighth letter of the alphabet and you see why.
Another key detail is while windows began in the 80s the company never put out a version labeled 88. That tattoo is full of yikes 😬
Yeah I saw the 88 and recognised the dogwhistle. It’s such a shoddy job too, did they really have to use such a well-known dogwhistle? Even 18 would be better hidden since less people know it.
Edit- I know it’s not really the point. Nobody should have such strong evil views to be comfortable enough to tattoo it onto their skin. But just being so obvious and low quality, I hope it’s fake/trolling

Yeah, was coming down here to say something similar. While I'm always happy for people that cover up any hateful tattoos (some tattoo artists even do coverups of those for cheaper/free!) this one isn't very wholesome at all, sadly.
Oh wow, I was so used to thinking 98 that I didn't even notice it. Yeah, yikes. Definitely "I'm getting attacked for having this, I need something that still lets people know I'm a raging monster without people being able to hate me on sight for it."

I'd like to add my two cents to the doody stain vs period stain debate. I can see what Shaaba is saying about us looking at the front of the undies (pants), and I've gotten high period stains like that when I placed a pad too far back, or just didn't wear one that was long enough to cover both front and back. This would happen really easily overnight if you're a stomach sleeper.
For the eye tattoo, honestly if the tattoo artist is willing to (try to) copy an existing tattoo design that's a big red flag. Don't ask for someone else art, it's bad etiquette. And if a tattoo artist offers to copy someone, go somewhere else.
Yes, isn't it better to check local tattooist's portfolios and find someone doing a similar style? "Hey I'm after a colour tattoo with a make-up eye and a galaxy background, I've seen you do both those elements really well" point to THEIR portfolio examples "Can we do something like that for me?" Bring your own basic sketch as a guideline and see what the artist draws up for you. Don't bring in someone else's work and be like "ink this, you human printer", 'cause you're insulting both tattoo artists involved.
At best they'll agree and give you an identical copy of art that belongs to someone else's skin, but what's most likely is you'll be getting an inferior piece. Because if the copying artist doesn't care about stealing, it means they have no reputation (skills, style, standards) to uphold, and chances are they won't care about what they do to your skin either. If the tattooist doesn't care, beware, beware, beware!
Even if you ignore that the artist should know their capabilities and be honest about not being able to do something outside of their ability

The cover up of the hate symbol is even worse when you realize it says windows 88 cause 88 is another hate thing for the same thing H being the 8th letter of the alphabet so 88 symbolizing a salute to the leader of that movement the original symbol is from.
The way I someone from Massachusetts realized instantly that Ariel tail is meant to be CAPE COD! Just wanna say, according to Indigenous acquaintances, it is considered foolish (at best) and offensive (at worst) to get a dreamcatcher tattoo. As I understand it, part of the function of a dreamcatcher is to capture and contain negative energy, so it's kinda weird to tattoo such a thing onto your body.

The best tattoo fail I've seen was when someone went to get "everything is fine" but got "everthing is fine"
I got a tattoo at the beginning of the year by a great artist who had done a previous tattoo of mine, and it unfortunately blew out in a way that looked like a bruise around part of the tattoo, but she was so sorry and concerned about it and over two other sessions we found a way to cover it up at no extra cost and I love it!

The tail in the Ariel tattoo is definitely trying to mirror the outline of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, it’s not exact but the larger features of the Cape are definitely there

My Mom has my deadname tattooed on her. She has me and my two brothers.
My current name would probably fit in as another sibling tbh as there is already two I names and both my deadname and current name start with Z. It is still very unfortunate. Good news is I doubt any of brothers are trans, expecially my two bio brothers.
Also, the universe tattoo is based off the cosmic background radiation.
For the coverup one, using henna as a temporary to see what the end result would look like is actually a good idea (but there were defintely choices on that one!)

The funniest part about the cross tattoo is that, if you're wearing most typicaly upper body clothes, most of it won't be visible and there will just be this block of wood sticking up inked onto the nape of your neck with no context.
Another problem with the baby one is that it the perspective used for the monkey body doesn't match the perspective of the baby's face, giving the uncanny effect that the monkey body is looking right at you, but the baby's face is looking down at you (because you can, for example, clearly see the underside of their nose.)
If the monkey body had been lying down as well, that part at least wouldn't have been mismatched.

Ice cream also has emulsifiers because all of the things mixed together to make it don't like being mixed together, which probably plays a fair role in why it's expensive.

One time when I was at a tattoo appointment there was someone getting their kids name on their neck in script and the tattoo artist repeatedly, think it was atleast four or five times, asked him (he was on the phone constantly) if it was spelt correctly and the client was like yeah yeah. The client's partner came in when the artist was halfway through the tattoo and turns around and goes our son's name is spelt wrong. The artist was fuming because he did ask so many times, and the client assured him it was correct. And given it was script the artist wanted to be absolutely sure...
"The silver lining here is that the artist who made this tattoo must have been so embarassed that he quit and became a politician."

@18:45 might I add that there is no Windows version 88, and that the number 88 is being used by neo-n@zis as code for "HH" meaning the n@zi salute. so this is probably someone who used henna as a joke to cover a n@zi symbol with n@zi code. the latest would also not fall under the current version of the "Wiederbetätigung"-law of Germany and Austria, and therefore would be legal to have as a tattoo.
As someone who has their ankle tattooed, I can understand why there's minimal shading on the shoe one.
Also scar tissue effects tattoos and some artists don't work over that. Just putting it out there ;

I just keep them all at the back of my shelves and only revisit them alone. Thankfully I've not spent even a halfpenny on anything she's attached to since I found out what she's like.

Ok as someone who was once a in terrible apprenticeship. This first one looks to have several problems. 1 its on the hand and that is just not a great place for detail work or medium to large pieces. 2 it looks to have been freehanded and not stenciled this is a bad idea for anyone who isn't a 10+ year in pro and doing their preferred art style. 3 it appears to be a street artist (who's extra crap or just has bought some gear of the internet and watched a few videos maybe did a few small flash pieces) or someone in a apprenticeship either breaking the rules and trying shit they aren't ready for or in a worse case (and it happens) has a terrible mentor who is pushing them into art they are not ready for and using the customers bodies as a sacrifice to push their learning faster or just had their apprentice pretend to be the artist for the day so they could go do whatever and this apprentice had no clue the limits of their ability (maybe they were doing ok with stenciled flash) snd didn't know how to back out of the tattoo without pissing off their mentor 😢 I find it really hard to believe this first one came out of a established long running professional tattoo artist. This is just too far past what youd see on the worst day of a mediocre artist in a shop.

As someone who has gotten a crap tattoo from someone who was apparently stealing other peoples' photos and saying she did them, if it's going really poorly you just stop that whole appointment. She was like 2 hours in and I told her she needed to not to any more or it would be impossible to get fixed. She asked what needed fixing. I said the entire tattoo looked like something I drew in grade school. Shaky lines. Inconsistent shading. That kind of thing. And she was horribly insulted, but that's no my problem when you're advertising really solid art and delivering rancid garbage. But I got it covered up by one of my favorite artists in town, so now I have a cool bat on my hip instead of the nonsense lines the other person decided to go with.
You don't necessarily have to be mean or aggressive, but it's your body. If someone is doing something and you realize it's trash, you can and should nope out of that asap. The less that has been done, the easier it is to fix. Also, research ya dang artists! Situations like mine nonwithstanding, most people post their work to Instagram. Go through their photos. See if they even do what you're looking for. If not, find another artist. Send them a message asking if they've done similar if you're unsure. But also, any artist worth a crap will tell you no if you ask for something they're not comfortable doing. I had a tattoo planned with a guy with 100k followers on Instagram refund me my money because I got to him and the design he'd drawn up didn't look on my arm how he wanted it to. Which sucked, but I feel more comfortable going to someone who will deny work if they don't think it represents them well over someone who says they can do anything (they can't).

When I first picked up Harry Potter as a kid and there were only 2 books I never imagined the massive thing it would become. Even less that the person who created that world would say such hateful and dangerous things. I once met a girl who had gotten the dark mark tattoo, which made me uncomfortable enough to not meet her twice.
