- Today I’m doing an over 60 years old modern makeup tutorial. This is part of my series called “Fierce Aging”.
➡️ In this series, I give makeovers to women over 40, 50, 60, and sometimes even 100.
There are no rules to these makeovers (just like there are no rules to beauty)- but we aim to keep the look natural and enhance the guests’ natural beauty.

Great as always, Nikol! But, for just an everyday look, a lot of steps. Can you show us how to get out the door on days we're just running errands, or only going to the supermarket? The eyebrows, omg, it changed the whole look of Barbara’s face!!! I think they made her look younger and more vibrant. The whole makeup, everything, just softened, smoothed and made her look so put together, just beautiful.

I think you gave Barbara a beautiful wash of color for every day but that extra pop was the shimmer-topper on her eyes! She was really happy. I'm 62 and look for these "extras"...the confidence explodes!

I have the same beauty concerns as Barbara. My eyelids are the same. My hair is the same only longer. I am not sure when to use BB cream or CC cream. I will try the eyelashes as that is the only difference in our routine. That was a great demonstration & it was good to see you wear a shield working so closely to your model.
Thank you, Cynthia, it's funny I am getting a lot of pushback with comments on wearing the shield what women don't realize is that I have always worn a mask in my treatment room as a licensed esthetician and when I am close to women doing makeup. This is nothing new for me but for some reason, so many women are bothered by it. I think it's great that I am not breathing right on top of someone pandemic or not. I like to make people feel comfortable and right now wearing a shield doing makeup makes women feel comfortable that's all I care about.
@@NikolJohnson except the shield is not offering anything but false security for anything airborne. I hate how little attention has been drawn to the studies of masks over shields. I thought the same thing till I read them! Stay safe and well, we love you Nikol

Oh Barbara, I can identify with everything you said at the beginning of this video. A couple of years ago, I was having so much trouble with my usual foundation, I started looking for other foundations. I returned about three products and settled for a product that was just so so on me, but better than the rest. It was called Chantecalle at Nordstrom. I still wasn't that happy and most foundations were turning my skin orange or looking very cakey. I never had to worry about this before and was really at a loss for what was going on. I finally started to add moisturizer to my foundation and mix it in (in addition to applying it to my face beforehand) and the result seemed so much better. I now know only to purchase Cool colored foundations, too. I could wear just about anything that was close to my skin color when I was younger and I could get away with it. You are correct, it is a fine line we are trying to thread, don't want to look young, don't want to look old, just want to look like myself, only better. I am 66 years old now and I look a lot like Barbara. I can see she is aging a lot like I am and has the same concerns that I do. Nikol, the final make up application looks wonderful on her. I bet Barbara was stunning as a twenty something, because she still looks good to me now. Thank you for doing this for us. :-)

At 61 “choices” are more relevant than ever. As a single Mom Of 3 at 27 I spent most of my life reacting, juggling, jumping in and doing. Giving myself any importance was impossible. I now can afford clothing, makeup, travel & have been happily married for 3 years. I still watch my pennies & want to thank you for tips & trick that are affordable, age appropriate and are effortless.

Nikol, I recently purchased a eyeshadow palette of yours (it has a beautiful green and brown in the trio), some peachy lipstick and gloss, and they came in mail yesterday. They are gorgeous! Hola Nikol, I always enjoying your videos Barbara looks great. I have been using Nikol BB cream in light medium. It works perfect for my skin tone and the best is that is light and natural. I have never been a fan of foundations even when I was 20. I’m in my fabulous 50!

Hi Nikol, I'm a huge fan of your videos. Just have to pass on some information about your face shield (because I care). Copying text -- "Shields do not replace face masks, as they do not fit to your face and effectively block respiratory droplets from the air around you, said Suyama. Experts agree the face shields should be worn only with a face mask, not on their own." Probably in your studio, it is not a serious concern but could be an issue with COVID variants if you wear the face shield while shopping, etc.

Loved this demo! Learned so much as always but wasn’t anyone else freaked out by the total lack of masks? That plastic shield isn’t doing a thing. In fact studies in Europe showed people way more likely to get COVID wearing shields! Airborne, remember?

Seeing your face shield, I can’t believe how our world is changing and not what we used to know. It makes me very sad. 😥🙏
This woman is beautiful and this fresh makeup is very pretty! I would have put more emphasis on her mouth with a more vibrant color. It could easily remove attenuate 15 years of age by very small injections (the folds going down to the corner of the mouth, wrinkles of the forehead and to lighten the dark circles). The result is wonderfully natural and worth the effort. You have to choose a good doctor who works well. I had this done and recommend it. Then we refresh everything once a year aprx. Ladies we deserve this little extra! :)
Sunscreen needs to be applied many times during the day. What is is the best way to do this and keep make up looking great all day long? Do you wash off make up and reapply from scratch with each sunscreen application? These products do not blend with tan or dark olive skin.
Great transformation! The hardest part of makeup (at least for me) is finding the right concealer color.
How do you find the area of cheeks for older women to place the blush, I feel like I don't really have definition so it always ends up too high!

Yes this is why I sold Heated Eyelash Curlers in the studio for all my lash clients. If you wear lash extensions you can’t use a mechanical eye lash curler it will ruin the extensions you must use a Heated eyelash curler.
