Perfect timing Steve I have been commisioned to make some bugs & birds & have been going over some of your past vids to get insperation. Thanks mate :D
Check out more of my complete builds, walkthroughs, and HD-Foam at www.SKSProps.com This was a Blick exclusive video but since I get so many Foam Clay questions they allowed me to post it on my channel as well so more builders could find it easily
What a creative and great build! My daughter is in the middle of your Chainsaw Man build! I missed SiliCon and a chance to say "hi" in person! Odin said it was great!! Keep making great stuff!
oh how I have missed your videos, I have been studying a Cert IV Cyber Security course but thanks to Covid-19 I have been doing the course from home and have been missing enjoying some good build videos, also awesome beetle
Great video, thanks for putting this on. I’m very impressed and inspired by this. Just a quick question. At around 4:30 you say you like to put one layer of foam clay then let it dry and add another layer and again letting it dry and add another layer. But before that you also said it takes 24 hours to dry. So are you doing this repeated drying and adding over three 24 hour periods? Thanks for the great videos, keep up the good work buddy!
It will start to skin over in about an hour it will then dry out more the longer you let it sit. So I will usually let certain layers dry for a couple of hours before I add more. If I’m sanding that’s when I’ll let it dry 24-48 hours
I would say you'd be better off making it out of the foam vs the foam clay. Foam clay is great at creating non moveable transitions or complex curves but it will eventually become hard when the moisture wicks out and is not bendable at that point

I think this might be a case of blick eventually allowed him to post his work to his channel. Since throughout the video he said part 1 was on the blick yt channel

HIGHLY recommend Foam Clay! Not just for cosplay. But I recently used my SKS Foam Clay to make a working horror movie prop.

Could you make the camanders shoulder armor with cape from the 100?
Thanks for sharing your process. Where do you get this curved-shaped pin file from?
Off of Amazon years ago
Thanks.@@SKSProps
Would be a cool way to make a shrunken head
Can I make one of those cool food purses out of this foam clay with out it breaking
I would say you'd be better off making it out of the foam vs the foam clay. Foam clay is great at creating non moveable transitions or complex curves but it will eventually become hard when the moisture wicks out and is not bendable at that point
Is it really as light as they say it is after it's cured?
Yes, once the moisture wicks out the clay is extremely light
Teaches you how to make the Red Hood mask
do u have to allow each layer of clay to dry before adding more?
You don’t have to I just found it to be easier and you’ll be less likely to deform the clay you’ve already applied and sculpted
i need to make 6-8 bees how does this material work with silicone in case i wanted to make a mold? @@SKSProps
Could I use silk clay or would you recommend just foam clay?
@@KasaiFreeccs foam clay, most other types of air dry are either to heavy or crack when drying
@ got it thank you
Is a rotary tool required?
@@KasaiFreeccs if you’re going to work with foam yes. Plus they are really cheap nowadays I have a wen review on my channel from years ago
Thank you will do
Be great for a ghost of a tail costume

Se puede mojar??
Once it’s sealed with Plasti dip or acrylics water won’t affect the clay
@@SKSProps this type of clay is flexible
@@lanaranjacitricadulce1494 in the beginning but after it dries it becomes rock hard
@@SKSProps I thought it was a flexible dough.
