FR i just started Bleach and skipped bount arc knowing it's filler but i got so annoyed when i saw they still kept the bount arc characters in arrancar arc. The characters even occasionally refer to something that happened in the bount arc
@@hatoru9827Production crew is trying to keep their idiocy in the main anime canon. They dissapeared quickly after the rightful backlash to thier bullshit hit.
I'm pretty sure I never watched it. Even with the visuals, I don't remember a thing. The only thing I remember is the word "Bount". If I did watch it, wow. I'm astounded at its forgettableness. It's almost a reasonably difficult trivia question: To which anime does the Bount Arc belong?
I know for a fact that I watched it but I have no memory of it. The bad guy had winds power and could even make lightning through that I think? That's a cool concept and that's probably why it's the only thing I remember.
The reason the bount arc is so long is cus the villains keep hiding from the main characters. For the first half, they hid in a mansion and then a cave. And then for the second half, they got the joke crest thing and hid in alleyways until the final battle.
the problem is that it somehow clicks in as cannon with some arguements like Uriyu's power loss, Ichigo "meeting" with Rukia again, somehow bringing it up at the arrancar arcs and the little plushies stuffed toys that actually stay and help a little in that same arc, and Ichigo recalling fighting with Kariya.😂
I feel like the Bount arc could've been much better if it only has Kariya, Go, Ichinose, & Yoshino as the main antagonists, cut the total episodes in half, and have the setting stay grounded & focused in the World of Living with minimal help from the Captains, instead of hamfisting the Soul Society setting by it's 2nd half. Also agree with you on Uryu's character being one of the good thing of this arc, Uryu in this arc makes a great use of his intelligence in numerous occasions (well, aside from helping the Bounts complete their Senkaimon Gate out of his vengeful ego that is) & I love that his limited power during this arc pushed him to be more resourceful.
Agreed. If the Bount arc was way smaller and a means of showcasing how the Real World gang had evolved to handle actual threats themselves it'd have been far superior. Imagine a Bleach where Chad got to be a Big Damn Hero even just a little bit more.
Yeah but in reality up until that moment didn’t he only use it once? Then zangetsu just went on strike. It’s like in the DBZ movies where goku struggles against his opponents and then he’s like ‘oh yeah, super sayian.’
@@zizzors9314 because it’s true. Like in coolers revenge. Goku fought cooler in his second form and got his ass kicked then he went super sayian like he couldn’t do it or it wasn’t an option and wasted him easily just for some drama.
@@shadowknight1121 When you look at the canon narrative, Ichigo uses Bankai once against Byakuya, only for his Hollow to try and take him over. From there, he's in an emotional state where he can't rely on Bankai without the fear of his Hollow coming back but also has to use it when facing off against the early Arrancar. It adds to the tension as he's getting beaten down waiting to pull the trigger on Bankai, trying to fight between the two states of desperation. It loses pretty much all of its weight when you go through an entire filler arc of Ichigo spamming Bankai without consequence.
The biggest sin is misinterpretation of characters throughout the arc, not to mention they tried to make this anime cannon carrying over characters into the arrancar arc
How did they misinterpret anyone? Everyone seemed consistent to me. Ichigo not wanting to embrace his Hollow side because he's afraid of turning out like Kariya is consistent with the canon, and Rukia having faith in Ichigo's abilities shows her development from the Soul Society arc. The most misinterpretation I can think of is making Renji goofier.
when I was young I wanted so much to see battle against Aizen but instead I got bounts and was so confused and disappointed... when arrancar arc finally came I already dropped Bleach and came back only several years later, back then I had no idea what fillers are
@@JohnSmith-yn9ju bro that arc interrupted Ichigo and Ulquiorra's fight I have never watched that arc out of spite. Ichigo and Ulquiorra clash swords, and then suddenly Captain Amagai? Lmao
Older shows ran alongside their manga counterparts like Naruto, One Piece, and Dragonball, so studios would catch up quickly to their source material. With Bleach in particular only so much happens in a single chapter, to animate a single episode would adapt 4 chapters. You do the math, this means the anime catches up very quick to the original manga and have to suffer in patience to wait for more material. But Companies like money so they kept their shows airing weekly and to compensate you either dragged the episode out so slowly with egregious pacing by adapting a single chapter or dedicate that time slot to original anime material for weeks even months at a time. In worse cases do both and neither is good. I'm so glad current shows don't do this anymore. Will wait for your part 3
I'm Glad you're staying to see part 3 means a lot and your spot on by the way, it really felt like the pacing stretched way out so that they would have a lot more canon stuff to animate.
The money thing just doesn't make sense to me because they're making the series WORSE, wouldn't a better series make more money?? I understand it but I hate it and it's garbage.
@@babaG819 there tarnishing bleaches legacy with this Filler it's a lot of the reason people call Soul society peak because they just haven't gotten past this.
@Indifference honestly I do think soul society is peak, not just in bleach but it's pretty tight among a lot of anime, especially this genre. Tbh I don't think there's another ENTIRE arc close except for tybw. Most arcs are way too drawn out and with too much breaking tension like dbz style. Cool for what it is but not great overall. Rewatching ss arc earlier this year reminded me of how great it really is. And then continuing on it just lost the same feeling. There's great parts sprinkled in but it doesn't hit the same at all.
@@indifference115 not really most people criticizing Bleach call out the story for repeating too much especially when Ichigo and gang enter Hueco Mundo there is no reason to have Orihime get captured and make her depressed and pathetic at least with Rukia they slowly lead up to the reveal that she killed Kaien and made you wonder why Rukia would do such a thing and if you ever really knew her at all Orihime on the other hand just gives up and refuses to defend herself even against low level arancars like Loly and Menaly plus the Espada aren't as interesting as the soul reaper captains they never make them feel as real as characters like Momo and Toshiro in essence aside from Grimmjow and Ulquiorra and Stark all of the Espada were as one dimensional as the bounts excluding Koga of course
I didn't know the difference between canon and filler and attempted to watch this arc 3 or 4 times and wrote Bleach off. When I watched the canon story boyyyyyyyyy.
I binged half of them and stoped for like a solid month or two because it was so damn boring. It got to the point I saw the Dub dialogue as meta commentary of the arc in general every time they said something like "This is not good" or "This Sucks" and other variants of those.
If your on imbd or on an episode guide for bleach, also I believe on the dvds it lists each episode discriptions like "In this filler episode, we see karakura cop...." So thats nice.
@@indifference115 For real, that lead me to your video. The bount arc was what put me off of Bleach. I was sick of it halfway through, and I weathered the storm but when I realized shortly after that it was pointless, that I was subjected to it for no reason...I couldn't continue out of fear that it would just happen all over again. The reason it hurt so bad was because the soul society arc was so...damn...good. The cliffhanger was so...damn good. Anyway. when I heard that in the young thug trial I felt solidarity about that for the first time ever, no one even knows what I'm talkin about when I bring up the bount arc! Anyway. Thank you for your video!
I’m glad the anime industry changed from the old days for most anime. I understand why there were filler arcs it mainly due to the source material catching up with the anime and either they go on hiatus or they make filler arcs until they have enough material to comfortably adapt. I wish the seasonal anime concept was there back then because naruto and bleach would of benefited from it a lot I’m hoping they remake both series with this newer animation and just do it seasonally. Because people that watch the tybw arc now think bleach just got dark when it’s always been that way from the beginning it was because of censorship that we got what we got.
@@kingwill1623 yeah I just recently finished the first three arrancar arc video for it soon. But a mate of mine pointed out one of the moments that was such more brutal in the manga
1:54 I can't believed this is coming from a professional A-list voice actor, gotta give props to Troy Baker for the cringy lines he had to go through lol
Everything is kinda cringy in dub. In sub Kariya's voice is just badass and since most of us can't actually understand Japanese, it's not like we can find it cringy.
I actually kinda agree. Can you imagine how hype it would be if suddenly Kariya appears in the Jaws of Hell arc, if Kubo ever continues it? The Bounts are overrated, and it honestly gave Ichigo a bit of character development.
This is my first time rewatching Bleach since the original anime ended about 9 years ago, and man is this arc painful to get through. I considered skipping this arc but I remembered so little about it that I made the mistake of giving it another chance. I remembered the main villain and the whole "dolls" concept but that was about it. Luckily the later fillers are actually enjoyable (at least to me), maybe the writers just needed a failure to see what went wrong and come up with something better.
just finished watching it myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the voice acting made me laugh which made it honestly more fun to watch through. Only downside to it I feel like is the length, and the hide and seek minigame shit at the start
Thanks man I appreciate the compliment, You're Doing Great Yourself, Your Thumbnail's are really good, and your videos are entertaining, let's continue to do our best.
Not gonna lie, when I was a kid this arc killed my interest in Bleach for a good few years. Back then I didn't know it was a filler so I stopped watching when this arc aired on adult swim. And the only reason I picked the series back up was because I watched a bleach opening compliation and it was so dope that I started reading the manga. After that I realized the Bount arc was just some dumb filler and decided to rewatch the anime.
I did not hate it as a child. Only for 1 reason. I tought it was super cool how the bounts absorb reiatsu and heal themselves. Still the most interesting ability in Bleach in my opinion.
I first got into bleach right around when the Hueco Mundo arc was coming out. I kept seeing these call backs to all these useless characters, and I was like who the F are these guys.
I stopped watching Bleach more than 10 years ago at around episode 200. Now I'm feeling nostalgic for my youth and I'm planning on going back and binge watching the whole series to the end and see what I missed. Was debating watching the Bount arc again because I remember it just being bad. However your description of just how terribly bad it is actually makes me want to watch it again. Like so bad it may make me laugh to remember how much I hated it back then haha. WIll see if I still have that sentiment once I'm a few episodes in...
I do think that it's enjoyably bad to an extent, Like uryu done something and says looks guys I did I stopped the enemy only to be told he actually helped them and have nothing to say in his defence but stare blankly at ichigo

This arc just went on... and on... and on... 1/3 length would have been enough of this... maybe half would have been OK too. It was so slow and painful.
When I first watched the Bount arc, I had a feeling that I watched it before and I realized that the arc reminded me of another TV Tokyo ip Yu Yu Hakusho, the Bount arc was almost a beat for beat recreation of Yu Yu’s 3rd season just with a Bleach cover.
As someone who did watch bleach 11 years when it aired on tv. I don’t remember hating the arc, but I can confirm once it finished the men in black came into my room and used the deneurolizer to make me forget it even happened. It’s like a long fever dream. Until someone brings it up I truly don’t remember it even happened.
@@indifference115 oh i definitely like it better then Arancar but i think Aizen is a garbage villain and Kariya is way more intresting plus Orihime was still reliable in this arc hated how much of a idiot she became after she got captured hell she even started healing the enemy in filler arcs people who say the Bount arc killed Bleach are spreading misinformation
@@indifference115 I honestly didnt mind the bount arc. I dont really think it killed Bleach. It has some good character development stages, like Ichigos hollowfication being revealed. It flows nicely with the main story. Other arcs like the Muramasa Sword Beast arc totally break away from the main story out of nowhere.
Having been doing an anime rewatch alongside reading the manga, I feel like the manga really needed a transitional type of arc to allow things with Aizen and Hueco Mundo to settle in the background, and provide character arcs like Uryu's to have more time to cook. In theory, Bount Arc would have served well as this kind of arc. Hueco Mundo was built up through Kariya's ambitions in trying to reach it, with there being something or someone there that could have helped him achieve the power he wanted. Bount Arc focused a lot on Uryu's uncertainties after losing his powers, and how Yoshino comforted and motivated him to not just settle as an ordinary person. This ended up building more into his rise back to power in the Arrancar Arc. And just having more worldbuilding elements to emphasize the differences between the real world and the Soul Society. I think it makes sense for Ichigo to have a period where it's more difficult for him to control Bankai in the world, because it's fundamentally different from the Soul Society. Though yes, it is frustrating to see him struggling so much and maybe that could have been handled better. Ultimately, I think the Bount Arc theoretically was a good transitional piece that the manga needed, because wow the manga really rushed into the Arrancar Arc and it feels like something is missing. However, Bount Arc ended up being too drawn out for its own good, and this kinda kills its potential. I will say though, it's much better to me than the Shusuke Amagai and Zanpakuto Arcs, which directly interrupted the canon storyline and served no purpose to the wider narrative.
When me and my sister watched it I didn't tell her it was filler to see if it was just the fact that it was filler is what made people hate it. Three episodes deep she asked me if it was filler. We skipped to episode 109 four episodes later. Good video man
Yeah I'm glad you enjoyed it, bount arc hurts bleachs rep a lot. The amount of people that have told me it's good is honestly astounding for how bad it's reputation is
I swear to I laughed at that same line! I called my friend up and I was like bro what's up with this bount arc. He was like bro just skip over all the filler. It was a good call cuz a lot of the failure is really crappy
In the beginning of this arc i actually like it. It was interesting new concept and everything so mysterious. But then they kill probably the most interesting character in the whole arc. The guy with the snakes. Basically Orocimaru in beta testing 😂. After that everything just go down and down. And when i finish the arc and go to Bleach Brave souls to se the Vampires in the game there are not and i am like why😂. Did i waste so much time for nothing. And the answer is yes 😂. Fortunately there is one scene that kinda save the wholo situation 😂
Yeah, I noticed that too. The Bounts arc seems to be purposefully ignored by Studio Pierrot or the heads of the franchise. In the novels, and Bleach Brave Souls, all filler characters have appearances (yes, even in the canon novels, there are some filler characters, like Muramasa, or Oko Yushima). However, the Bounts don't get that treatment. It's funny how the amount of resentment for the Bounts that the community has, seemed to be shared or have leaked to the actually people working on Bleach.
Oh gosh, NO! I kinda liked them in the Bount Arc but I HATED how they were shoved at the start of the Arrancar arc, making the fight be nothing like the manga and then just... disappear forever
Literally the only reason I survived the bount arc is because this was my first time watching an anime, and I didn’t know what filler episodes were so I thought this was a important part of the entire plot and story of Bleach
What also really annoyed me is that they reused animations all the time. Everytime dalk (one of the bounts puppets) was called it was the exact same animation, voice acting and sound design and it always took about 5-10 seconds. Wouldn’t be an issue once or twice but having to see this like 50 times got annoying
Actually, ichigo only goes bankai twice in the whole arc. He uses it for the first during his fight with Kariya. Uryu (the only good character at this point) helps Kariya escape by completing the Senkaimon after ichigo cut him and he fights him again with it in the seretei. It makes completely no sense since ichigo didn't have a nerf which was explained by Karia and he could have killed him in their first battle. It's just more bushit to cause the arc to drag on
@@indifference115 lol I was just mad because I realized there were two different moments in the arc where Kariya could have been finished off but instead the plot forced a continuation of the story
sounds corny but i thought the bounts where cool they needed cooler designs and more characters with a cooler mod power like a warrior stand from jojo or shaman king..... seeing a more powerful bount fighting an arranchar for the throne would of been cool to see.
Worst thing is that they actually bring filler characters into main narrative in which they should not even exist, Jin kariya is main example because there is no way ichigo could have encountered him before his visored training but they show him during his inner struggle fights with zaraki/byakyua
Not all filler is bad but the Bound Arc is long as hell and pointless ans csbt understandnhow people put it over something like the FullBringer arcbwich is 1) not filler 2) explains SO MUCH that had no answer before, or even the Gotei invasion arc, wich was filler but not as long, decently pace and I liked Kageroza as an enemy and giving a bit of depth to Kon
The beginning of the bount arc especially the kidnapping part was my favorite cause it was funny and it was also good seeing once enemies now friends work together to get back Chad and orihime but once that part ended and the vampires showed up I skipped it and went to the other Canon arc because I am rewatching bleach just for fun and hype because TYBW brought bleach back
I'm really excited to get to TYBW and also good for skipping bount arc, I only watched it because this is my first-time watching bleach. I also finished watching the first two arrancars arc, new video about those soon, I really hope you enjoyed this video.
The Bount arc is honestly mediocre. Watching it was kind of a chore. But despite that, I don't regret having watched it a single bit. I actually kinda appreciate it now. This arc could've been so much more; can you imagine if the Bounts arc had the same story-telling and animation quality as the Zanpakuto Rebellion or Reigai arcs? The Bounts themselves are cool, the concept is interesting, even a few of the characters are really good! Like Kariya, Koga, and maybe Yoshino. The other Bounts didn't really have enough development, but they were also a bit interesting in their own ways. Sawatari and Baura had a neat relationship, they respect each other, and that's enough. It's what made this duo cool to see. And Yoshi, she's honestly just a kinda crazy woman who loves fighting, and hates how the world got rid of all the fighting going on, but her powers were honestly unique. Her fight against Ishida really shown how versatile her Doll is, it's a cool power. Kariya and Koga are easily the highlights of this arc. I could write an entire essay just talking about these two, but I'll keep it short. Kariya is kinda hard to understand all the way until the very end, where even Ichigo (who isn't the brightest) understood him. He was just tired of the endless cycle of battle. He wanted to put an end to the Soul Society and the Bounts to be forgotten, he was just tired of it all. Whether he was unable to detonate the Jokai Crest or he actually decided against it is not clear, but I prefer to think the latter, maybe he realized getting revenge was just meaningless, just how the existence of the Bounts was meaningless. Kariya is just a goated villain, he's charismatic, has a cool AF design (I've seen ppl say it's Kubo who designed him, but I found no confirmation), and his Doll? it's PEAK. Is there any character in Bleach who uses wind as a weapon? No, and is it cool? OF COURSE. Not only is controlling wind super versatile and unique to the Bleach-verse, but the release of Messer, is also cool. It just becomes a blade of wind, and electricity if he wants to. Which leads me to one of his coolest moments: "My power is the wind. Friction of the air generates static electricity. *We call that Lightning* ". LIKE HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT? That was honestly a cool reveal and one-liner. Anyway, His death was honestly kinda sad, because we'll never know what he was going to tell Ichigo at the end. Though, his appearance in episode 124, during Ichigo's training with the Vizards, was extremely unexpected. But ironically enough, despite being outside the Bounts arc, this is probably Kariya's coolest moment. His monologue is perfect and makes insane sense, in other animes, pieces of media, and even in the real world. His appearance in that canon episode makes me wish so hard that he was canon. Kariya is just so cool. But I've noticed that the Bounts arc seems to be purposefully ignored by Studio Pierrot or the heads of the franchise. Now Gô Koga, the last Bount. He's a very wise man, and his relationship with his Doll is also admirable. They had such an close bond, and when she broke, it's clear how saddened Koga was. I've used all my creative juices to write about Kariya, so I don't have much to say about Koga, but he was cool too. Definitely the best character alongside Kariya. But lemme say this, can you imagine if the Bounts appeared in the Hell arc? or at least Kariya? Sure, most people would hate it, but I would love it. Kariya is goated. As for the voice acting... it's kinda a "you" problem. The original sub has no problem with voice acting throughout the entire arc. Seiyuus always give more effort than the rest of the world, so it makes sense. And the dialogue in anime is always exaggerated, but in sub, no one bats an eye. I just think with the way dialogue is written in anime, it doesn't translate well to English or other languages. Anyway, that's my feedback. Can't wait to hear you thoughts on the Zanpakuto Rebellion and Reigai arc, as those fillers are just SUPER GOOD. I said the Bounts were mediocre, but those arcs are honestly just worth watching, even on a first watchthrough. Oh and there's the Amagai New Captain arc, but I think it's a bit less interesting than the Bounts. However Shusuke Amagai is a cool character, he has a neat Shikai and very interesting Bankai. You'll see when you watch it. Btw, I'm making a meme with Kariya in it that is taking a bunch of time, but I'll link it to you when it's done, cuz' i think it'll be funny, lol. Oh and in response to the title of your vid, I actually think the Bount arc is better than I remembered ^^'
Once again, I respect your opinion if entirely up to how you feel, I understand that the English dialogues isn't great but especially so in the bount arc, I also just generally think it went on to long for my liking. I think it is an important arc to watch to really appreciate the greatness of Canon bleach. Also, I am looking forward to when you finish your video.
@@indifference115 yeah I feel like if the pacing was a bit faster, and that it had 30 episodes instead of 42, it'd be much better. I'm also considering making a recut of the arc one day, I'll have to see if it's too difficult or not tho, but I think a recut of the Bount arc, if done properly, could actually make it worth watching. What are your thoughts on this?
It's slow monotonous, but I really liked it when I watched it for the first time and there were a couple of Bounts who were quite memorable. If you think it's just a filler and you want to get over it quickly, then the characters are really forgettable, just as you forget the characters that stand out during any chapter if you watch it bored and in a hurry.
Guys I am confused should I watch this arc or not, Tbh I am happy to skip since all the hate it gets but it feels like after skipping that many episodes I may not be able to know what is happening in the story. What should I do??
@muin2038 this arc is filler, the anime tries to interconnect this story a tiny bit but in almost every aspect this story has no impact on the anime. I would reccomend skipping it as you still start on a great arc.
I remember the Bount arc. After Soul Society and just the immeasurable hype and what's going to happen next to just a hard brake in the pace and characters. Only thing I liked is that it kinda filled the plot of Ichigo losing himself to the hollow within and Uryu losing his power. Though I did like Maki vs Kenpachi fight
This arc is why i stopped watching bleach i thought it was cannon I didn't hate it i actually liked it but it confused me so much that i just spiraled off bleach
I rewatched the bount arc last year, I remember kinda liking it when i watched it back in 2014, but when i rewatched, I actually liked it way more than I did before! I loved it. i think i enjoyed 95% of episodes, so i really only felt like 3-4 episodes could be cut. I enjoyed the majority alot! i liekd the animation switch up in the bount mannor!
Nah man, this was not it for me coming off of the heels of Soul society, the length is still a big no for me if it was 12 or even 20 episodes but longer than a Canon arc no way
The Bount arc is the reason why i skipped every single conceivable filler episode in all of Bleach with no hesitation (with the exception of OVA's and movies ofcourse).
The Zanpakuto Rebellion and Reigai Invading Army are genuinely worth watching and praised by the majority of the Bleach community. If you like Bleach you should give those a watch. The Reigai arc has better animation for the last few episodes than the entirety of the canon arcs.
@@johnderat2652 Yeah, i recently discovered that after watching a fight scene from the Zanpakuto rebellion arc on yt. It genuinely seems interesting so i'm contemplating rewatching Bleach with all the filler included after i finish the other animes i'm still on.
The only good thing about the Bount story was the fact it continued seamlessly after the Soul Society one the rest of the filler just sounds forget that story because we're doing this now like after Ichigo vs Grimmjow
I saw the bount arc,not knowing anything about Filler. Until I finished it😢. So I WAS A CLEAN SLATE. The biunt arc DIDNT NEED TWO SEASONS. All the fillernin bleach has at its core " showing the wrongs of soul society" the best part was the end because it balanced how power can corrupt, and how it can be for good. Ichinose and kenpachi was another one I liked. 5 ep at top tho
I feel like with Filler it's best to skip them considering how much they ruin the pacing and then when you finish bleach you can bo back and watch it later, just my opinion though.
@@indifference115 True, however, there is a way to trick the brain (not everyone) into getting into the show, and all I usually do with my friend is show them the low-end filter and then introduce the rest (risky if they don't get bored by the timeline of the filler). The reason why is because the quality after season 2 decreases when entering this arc, so assuming that it would "feel" more like an upgrade after leaving that arc, it would be more "refreshing" to be introduced to the actual plot.
Truly the filler in bleach is a serious problem especially like when the Ichigo and ulqiora fight starts your waiting to see what happens next the but bam you get hit with 30 or more episodes of filler just to get back to the main action that's kind of unacceptable if you ask me like Naruto with all of its filler at least never interrupted an important fight like that to this bad of a degree
I remember watching this arc and also I don't even know about what fillers means. It was little boring for me but mod soul carry the arc. And karia was also a good villain his back was like a Naruto villains. Over all arc was mid..
I remember this arc really well even tho i watced it only once and it was like almost 10 years ago, it is terrible yes, but for some of us it feels nostalgic. Also, watching Bleach dubbed is a big mistake. Anyway before I saw how many subscribers you got, I thought you would have at least 500k, considering the quality of the video. Thumbs up and swap to sub :)
I really appreciate your kind words, I would like to know what makes the sub better than the dub, I understand that it is the animes original language, but I feel more confident talking about the voice acting when it's dubbed. outside of bount arc I have really enjoyed the dub except for orihime and momo. not attacking you but just interested.
@@indifference115 Well, for starters it is the original synchronization. I mean, you judging dub for being bad makes no sense since it is only an adaptation. You should judge the real thing. I watched about 50 episodes in dub and and their pronunciation of Zanpakutos, Bankais etc is terrible, just awful. The fights in sub are infinitely more dramatic with Japanese voices. Bankai with no pause between Ban and kai is terrible. And lastly, anime is JAPANESE cartoons and they should be watched in Japanese language, thats what makes them anime in the first place.
@Killah when watching bleach for the most they do space the word ban and kai and the voice acting is bad because it's Filler and less effort was put in. There is no sense of urgency. But I'm in arrancar arc rn and the voice acting is great. The sub is the original and I have nothing against it but the dub is easier to digest and breakdown like how the comedy is delivered. Sure the translation is iffy but I don't hold that against it. I'm not saying I don't watch sub anime but I enjoy a lot of the dub voice actors in bleach outside of Filler. I don't want to start an argument but I judge the voice acting not on the translation, but on the quality of the dialogue and how they sound.
The worst thing about the Bount Arc is that it's shadow is cast into the canon parts of the series, I enjoyed the bount arc but with the exception of re watching all of Bleaches 366 episodes I'm never watching it again
How is bad it's actually interesting and a fun watch if you give it a chance sure it's long but the concept is cool and the execution wasn't too bad in my opinion underrated
This is literally me. I wouldn't say bount arc was bad... But it definitely over stayed its welcome. Like think about the bount guy that survived the whole arc. Yet hes never heard from again. Thats basically the whole arc. It over stayed its welcome and left over nothing meaningful to get a second chance. For me it what just way to long of a filler arc. Like how does a filler arc get a fakeout arc lol.
Imagine if Kouhei Horikoshi launched *My Hero Academia* and Gege Akutami started *Jujutsu Kaisen* in the 2000s, with adaptations by Pierrot or Toei. The anime adaptations would have been bland or mediocre versions of the original source materials instead of superior ones. These adaptations might have presented mediocre storytelling, average animation, and generic art styles. Important scenes could have been the source materials' poorer versions, and excessive filler episodes might have disrupted the narrative, risking audience connection and diminishing the richness of the original stories.
We are really lucky that tybw is getting the treatment it deserves when compared to everything else apart from fullbring which for 2012 was perfectly paced and looked beautiful
No way Young Thug's lawyer casually referenced this arc during his trial 💀
Yeah, I saw that I couldn't believe that shit hilarious. Thank god for moistcritkal, or I would've never heard of it
The fact the bount arc self inserts itself INTO NON FILLER EPISODES never ceases to dissapoint me, i even have to read the manga sometimes to avoid it
Yeah like when ichigo in the arrancar is talking about all the enemies be has confronted and defeated and Jin showed up I was so shocked and pissed

I remember every arc of Bleach to some extent. But I don't remember this at all. Just wow. Like I've never watched it.
I hope you enjoyed the video and the MIB must've got to you lol.
I'm pretty sure I never watched it. Even with the visuals, I don't remember a thing. The only thing I remember is the word "Bount". If I did watch it, wow. I'm astounded at its forgettableness. It's almost a reasonably difficult trivia question:
To which anime does the Bount Arc belong?
I know for a fact that I watched it but I have no memory of it. The bad guy had winds power and could even make lightning through that I think? That's a cool concept and that's probably why it's the only thing I remember.
@@Arkayjiya yeah the concept was fine but it was executed poorly
I do remember that shit being so damn long I started one piece in the meantime and nearly never went back 😂
The reason the bount arc is so long is cus the villains keep hiding from the main characters.
For the first half, they hid in a mansion and then a cave.
And then for the second half, they got the joke crest thing and hid in alleyways until the final battle.
Yeah hiding away like actual goblins and the main reason it goes on so long it thanks to uryu but his character growth was nice.
the problem is that it somehow clicks in as cannon with some arguements like Uriyu's power loss, Ichigo "meeting" with Rukia again, somehow bringing it up at the arrancar arcs and the little plushies stuffed toys that actually stay and help a little in that same arc, and Ichigo recalling fighting with Kariya.😂
Yeah I don't know why they try to push that narrative a bit odd.
That's not a problem. As someone who enjoyed the Bount arc I think this was good.

"The Jokai Crest will fill me with it's AWESOME power" - Jin Kariya
Yooo, such Hype dialogue
I appreciate you checking the video out and I really do agree that if it wasn't as long It would've been a whole lot better for the mental health
Agreed. If the Bount arc was way smaller and a means of showcasing how the Real World gang had evolved to handle actual threats themselves it'd have been far superior. Imagine a Bleach where Chad got to be a Big Damn Hero even just a little bit more.
I hated mabashi he was dogshit itself
Remember when Ichigo couldn't use bankai for some reason lol
The man abuses bankai its really funny to watch
Yeah but in reality up until that moment didn’t he only use it once? Then zangetsu just went on strike.

It was devastating to find out bount arc was a filler after just finishing it
It is a waste of time but it'll make you appreciate Canon bleach.
Same. It felt canon so I was shocked that it wasn't.
The biggest sin is misinterpretation of characters throughout the arc, not to mention they tried to make this anime cannon carrying over characters into the arrancar arc
Yeah trying to make this arc Canon was a terrible decision.
Wdym,i dont really remember any big examples of character misinterpretations tbh
Example of misinterpretation?
How did they misinterpret anyone? Everyone seemed consistent to me. Ichigo not wanting to embrace his Hollow side because he's afraid of turning out like Kariya is consistent with the canon, and Rukia having faith in Ichigo's abilities shows her development from the Soul Society arc. The most misinterpretation I can think of is making Renji goofier.

They gotta make it a rule to let us know when an arc is just filler and unconnected to the story

I agree it was introduced better and was good for uryu but the arc overstayed it welcome
When me and my sister watched it I didn't tell her it was filler to see if it was just the fact that it was filler is what made people hate it. Three episodes deep she asked me if it was filler. We skipped to episode 109 four episodes later. Good video man

Preeeeach
Yeah I knew going into it, it was going to be filler but I was still not prepared for how bad it was
What also really annoyed me is that they reused animations all the time. Everytime dalk (one of the bounts puppets) was called it was the exact same animation, voice acting and sound design and it always took about 5-10 seconds.
Wouldn’t be an issue once or twice but having to see this like 50 times got annoying
Yeah didn't help that this was over the span of nearly 50 episodes
It was truly a drag and I only watched it because I thought to myself "i might as well finish it" since i started on it without knowing
it was a drag went on for waaaay to long for a filler.
It's just more bushit to cause the arc to drag on
to me it felt like he used bankai a lot because of how dragged on the arc was.
@@indifference115 lol I was just mad because I realized there were two different moments in the arc where Kariya could have been finished off but instead the plot forced a continuation of the story

seeing a more powerful bount fighting an arranchar for the throne would of been cool to see.
I believe in theory they could hav been good, but in the end it was executed extremely poorly and it shows.
Worst thing is that they actually bring filler characters into main narrative in which they should not even exist, Jin kariya is main example because there is no way ichigo could have encountered him before his visored training but they show him during his inner struggle fights with zaraki/byakyua

Wish I knew this was filler before I started it. The only redeeming quality of this arc was probably the openings.
yeah i agree with that the openings were nice
Anyway,
His death was honestly kinda sad, because we'll never know what he was going to tell Ichigo at the end.
Someone else does use wind
@@indifference115 yeah I feel like if the pacing was a bit faster, and that it had 30 episodes instead of 42, it'd be much better. I'm also considering making a recut of the arc one day, I'll have to see if it's too difficult or not tho, but I think a recut of the Bount arc, if done properly, could actually make it worth watching. What are your thoughts on this?
@@kodywill5441wait who
I didn't watch the bount arc until i hit my 30s. I like it
Well respect for enjoying the suffering
It's slow monotonous, but I really liked it when I watched it for the first time and there were a couple of Bounts who were quite memorable.
If you think it's just a filler and you want to get over it quickly, then the characters are really forgettable, just as you forget the characters that stand out during any chapter if you watch it bored and in a hurry.
Agreed
This arc is the reason why I dropped bleach during my first watch a few years ago. I'm planning to try again(and hopefully finish bleach this time)
Yeah you should just skip all filler it's just a better experience and I hope you enjoy canon bleach as much as I did.
I just finished that shit a few weeks ago. Getting through it was hell
Preach
Guys I am confused should I watch this arc or not, Tbh I am happy to skip since all the hate it gets but it feels like after skipping that many episodes I may not be able to know what is happening in the story. What should I do??
@muin2038 this arc is filler, the anime tries to interconnect this story a tiny bit but in almost every aspect this story has no impact on the anime. I would reccomend skipping it as you still start on a great arc.
1:58 Lord Saddler is that you? 😂
Haha
I remember the Bount arc. After Soul Society and just the immeasurable hype and what's going to happen next to just a hard brake in the pace and characters. Only thing I liked is that it kinda filled the plot of Ichigo losing himself to the hollow within and Uryu losing his power. Though I did like Maki vs Kenpachi fight
I agree that the uryu character development was a highlight of the arc, even though he is kinda stupid in it.
This arc is why i stopped watching bleach i thought it was cannon
I didn't hate it i actually liked it but it confused me so much that i just spiraled off bleach
Well now you know
I rewatched the bount arc last year, I remember kinda liking it when i watched it back in 2014, but when i rewatched, I actually liked it way more than I did before! I loved it. i think i enjoyed 95% of episodes, so i really only felt like 3-4 episodes could be cut. I enjoyed the majority alot! i liekd the animation switch up in the bount mannor!
Nah man, this was not it for me coming off of the heels of Soul society, the length is still a big no for me if it was 12 or even 20 episodes but longer than a Canon arc no way
I love bount arc bro
@@shannuhxd9409my man ❤
@@shannuhxd9409 I just made a video about it, if you love the bount arc I think you'll enjoy!
The Bount arc is the reason why i skipped every single conceivable filler episode in all of Bleach with no hesitation (with the exception of OVA's and movies ofcourse).
That's fair
The Zanpakuto Rebellion and Reigai Invading Army are genuinely worth watching and praised by the majority of the Bleach community. If you like Bleach you should give those a watch. The Reigai arc has better animation for the last few episodes than the entirety of the canon arcs.
@@johnderat2652 Yeah, i recently discovered that after watching a fight scene from the Zanpakuto rebellion arc on yt. It genuinely seems interesting so i'm contemplating rewatching Bleach with all the filler included after i finish the other animes i'm still on.
Yeah i’m there with you. When i started watching the bount arc, after 7 episodes i took a 2 year brake because holy how boring it was
It is one of the most painful experiences to sit through I just kind of shut my brain off and too everything with a grain of salt
What did you say about troy baker
He's a great voice actor don't get me wrong but this performance was not it
new episode when?
Bleach Part 3 will be out closer to the end of the month I hope you like it. new video out soon though.
i genuinely think im the only person that actually loved the bount arc
There are definitely a few people who haven't gotten angry at me for my opinion of this arc so I dare say your not alone
I liked it too! :) though I did think it ran a little long haha
The only good thing about the Bount story was the fact it continued seamlessly after the Soul Society one the rest of the filler just sounds forget that story because we're doing this now like after Ichigo vs Grimmjow
Personally, I didn't appreciate that transition with filler being integrated into the story.
Yeah the filler has elements I liked but it overstayed it welcome and some
@@indifference115 the understatement of the century
The only thing I remember from this ark is the Chinese lady vaguely (to some extent) and how the villain looked like 😂💀
Yeah it's very forgettable I don't know how you can argue it's better than any part of canon bleach
only good thing abt this arc was the boo boo cushion 💀
Bruh I don't even remember that
@@indifference115 Wait, I thought the boo boo cushion scene happened before they went to hueco mundo????
for new people just get them to watch this arc first, then the s1-3, then move to season 5.
It's pretty annoying especially when you starting getting into the anime
I remember watching this arc and also I don't even know about what fillers means. It was little boring for me but mod soul carry the arc.
And karia was also a good villain his back was like a Naruto villains.
Over all arc was mid..
Painfully boring for me, if You don't know what Filler is, it's basically story and plots points that aren't Canon and didn't happen in the manga.
@@nmr7203 man was doing his research
Odd that you should say that. Kariya shares the same English voice actor with Pain.
@@AdmarilDarius lol what a coincidence 😂
I’m thinking about rewatch Bleach… but I will speak the fillers arc lol
Good idea it's cuts down episodes from 366 to about 200 so alot.
I wonder which filler arc is worst: bount vs captain amagai
@andreilacerda5634 definetly bount arc recently watch amagai arc it wasn't great but a huge improvement over bount arc
Yeah never again it was so weird to see ichigo have to look back at all the villains and see kariya
This is much better than the mess that was the hueco mundo fillers, at least i can just skip all the bount fillers in one swoop
True, hueco mondo Filler are harder to skip but I enjoyed some of them because they were one off episodes
How is bad it's actually interesting and a fun watch if you give it a chance sure it's long but the concept is cool and the execution wasn't too bad in my opinion underrated
I really didn't enjoy just how cookie cutter and uninspired it was compared to soul society but to each their own
This is literally me.
Yeah it's really stupid and doesn't deserve a place in bleach if it was cut out people would look back more fondly on bleach
True
From 110th episode i saw few characters which helped ichigo( not the real one) who were they
That trio l
I'm sorry but I don't understand what your referencing apologies
The plushy trio? Ririn, Noba and Kurodo, mod souls that created by Urahara
I actually liked this arc tbh, the kariya vs ichigo fight was cool as hell
That was probably one of the only things I liked about it
