Don’t feel discouraged. You can easily find ways to use your books. Especially the take a note. The writing is pretty minimal. The layout splitting the week onto 4 pages completely messed me up. I was so sad about it but I decided to use it as my commonplace notebook to finish out the year. I’m using an a6 hobonichi (in the wrong year) as a gratitude journal. I also think making it work one or another helps to teach us what we do and don’t like- better informing our future purchases.
I found I didn’t like the hobonichi weeks either. So I split the book and cut the note section to an A6 size and put it in my travelers notebook. The calendar part, I put 3 things I was thankful for that day. When I find I’m not going to use a planner especially a larger size I cut it down to the size I like, or take it to Office Max and have them do it. Or I take it apart and put it into a binder, where I keep my bill ledger. Check out Monique Smith’s videos, she reuses everything, even out of date planners. Good Luck, I enjoyed seeing all your stationary, it’s fun. 😀
Whoah, you are super hard on yourself for impulse buys! I know it feels like you messed up, but you probably also learned something from that purchase. Whether it's to not impulsively buy things or that a certain size and style just wasn't working for you. Most of the time we don't know until we try, but I never see it as a waste of time. Hopefully you can reuse them for something else, but if not you can still recycle them or donate them. Sometimes I go overboard and I'll realize I don't need so many notebooks and I'll either resell them or gift them to people. My unused stationary would not fit in one box! lol
So many swearing 😅 28:16 it's so cool that your university sells Erin Corden notebooks! It'll be nice if schools sells well known notebooks in terms of paper quality but ah well, not really price friendly for students (':
Hi Amelia! Recently remembered your videos and wanted to say I’m eagerly awaiting your next upload! Hope everything is well and that you come back to RUclips when you’re ready. Also… hobonichi releases are happening next month!! Are you planning on getting anything? :)
aw, thank you for thinking of me! you are so sweet. everything is going well -- just busy! I won't be buying anything from Hobonichi immediately, but I'm excited to see the new releases, and I'll probably get the English Cousin for next year. I've been using my Avec as a planner (rather than journal) for the last month or so and it is working out great, so we'll see!
