Brilliant just brilliant! Her artistry, timing, technique and above all musicality are superb. Federico partners beautifully and they convey the emotions of this better than many I have seen. Bravo 🤩
I find her exquisite technically, if slightly off in her musicality once or twice. But she is mostly expressionless and I don't see any attempt (apart from in the coreographic gestures) either to seduce the prince or conspire with Rothbart. This kind of technical dancing is sadly on the rise with the younger generation of dancers. We have gained a lot in their clean lines and precision, but lost a lot in emotion and story telling.
I'm not sure I would call her "mostly expressionless", but I agree that I think this staging/direction is weird. It seemed oddly robotic in some points to me, "overly choreographed" in the sense that it felt more like a series of steps than a seductive story. For what it's worth, though, I think Akane Takada is an amazing dancer - I love her interpretation of Kitri in ruclips.net/video/9lpR7yQ66mc/видео.html and find her so playful and teasing in that piece. So I think it's probably less about the dancer and more about the coaching here.
So beautiful to see this Pas de Duex performed by these two.

Mostly expressionless? Are you blind?
