Nah. First of app, Mewtwo in the anime is basically a god. Remember in the first movie it was going to destroy the world with a storm? The only reason it didn’t was because it chose not to. The only way Ash would catch is if Mewtwo straight up went into Ash’s poke ball on its own. Besides, it would make Ash unstoppable
