Good lesson and song. Robbie thank you for teaching it. I was wondering if you had a good version of amazing grace you could teach? Maybe with some single string picking in it?

Started playing in college in about 2016. I’m a slow learner when it comes to the guitar. Took me a full year before my brain allowed me to play AND sing at the same time. Still can’t get much picking down. Thanks for showing an alternative way because I get bummed when my favorite songs involve picking or those dreadful bar chords. Lol
Hope the picking gets easier for you, Thank you for watching!
Thank you. Thanks for all your videos. Genuinely hope all these videos brings you a steady income in.
Great Song!
It's an awesome one Bob!👍
Amazing easy to follow lesson. Thank You

Please make a video of still thinking bout you by Mitchel Tenpenny
Thank you so much! I was watching other videos, trying to figure out what the tab was on the picking part. Two out of three videos were like, I don't know what this chord is called but... I was like, oh my God dude 🤦♂️ You shouldn't be doing instructional videos if you don't even know the chords. I know what the chords, I just wanted the picking part. Very good and detailed video, as always! Thanks!!
You're welcome! Glad you liked it, Thanks for watching!🎸
really enjoyed the picking pattern and strum info.
woud love to hear your lessons on vocal and guitar beginners.
Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed it. Tell me more about what you mean about vocal and beginners. What exactly are you wanting to learn there? Thanks!
Learn Guitar Favorites I would really like to integrate vocals into my playing. Seems as though there are slight nuances with chord timing and lyric application.
I hope that’s more clear. I apologize if not.
Thanks!
@@EMTWardo Thank you, I would love to do a video on that I'm just not quite sure how to explain or teach that but I'll try to come up with something. Thank you!
Thank u uncle.......
Is there another video you have posted for strumming practice?
This will be the first song I’ve practiced hard on strumming/picking. Would like to spend a couple more hours a day practicing this skill.
I have lots of videos that would help with strumming and picking. Feel free to look through my channel and pick out some you like. I also have a beginner course that may be helpful for you on my website. Thanks for watching!👍🎸
Can you do north on 21 by Riley green? I can’t figure it out man
This is soo helpful! I’m also looking to get a new guitar which Yamaha are you playing??
Thank you, glad it's helpful! Mine is a Yamaha FG-441C - They don't make it anymore, Here's a similar one to mine... amzn.to/2oERIUn
Thanks for teaching this song but I do have a question on the D and Cadd9 before the chorus what’s that one’s pattern?
DDUDUDU
What strings did you pick for the pre chorus? I guess I’m a little confused there. Good tutorial though, very helpful!
The whole picking pattern is 642134 for all four chords except the C which is 542143. Leave out the hammer on until you are confident playing the intro without it , that's my advice.
Can you do some whisky Meyers lessons?
Great videos! what do you use to video your content to get such good picture and sound quality?
Thanks! I just use a Canon T5i and ot seems to do well👍
This is awesome! I would love to learn Coat of many Colors by Dolly Parton.
That's such a cool song, maybe I can learn it. Thanks!
In the pre chorus. What is the picking pattern for whne it goes D CDC. I wish everybody knew all the words fo momma tried part
D: 4 3 2 4 1 3 2 C: 5 4 3 4 2 4 3
Awesome as usual, is that a Yamaha you are playing?
Thank you! Yep FG441C that I've had for 20 years 🎸
Hey Roby I didn't get the last little bit of single string picking before the strumming I was wondering if you could reply and tell me what frets and chords you picked thank you if you can
I'm not sure what you didn't get, should just be the D Chord & Cadd9 before going to the chorus.
I feel like for people having trouble with the picking but still want that kinda tone they can try and do what John Mayer did in "I guess I just feel like" where he back pedals to the high notes after a strum
That’s exactly what I do
Hi! Awesome guitar! Can you please do a tutorial for Alabama “Feels so right”? That would be much appreciated 👍
Alabama is so great, I'll see if I can learn it, Thanks!
Hey Robbie, can you explain the strum pattern for the chorus? Thank you
It's just DDUDDUDUDUDUDU
This is an awesome lesson as usual. I have one quick question. When I listen to the actual recording of the picking....I'm only hearing him pick the low E, D, high E and B. I'm not hearing those 4 notes followed by the D and G. Also, sound like on the Cadd9 he just hammers on the A, then D and strums down through GBE. Just curious if you add those notes in or I'm just not hearing them. In any event.....thank you, thank you. Great stuff as always.
Thanks! I learned the song off of the live version he did so the studio recording of the song is a little different and has less in it but I think the added stuff helps and makes it sound better for just playing it on acoustic. Does that make sense? Thanks!
@@LearnGuitarFavorites - Makes sense. Sounds great both ways, was just wondering difference. Phenomenal song. Thanks Robby....you are the man!
Can you use a capo vs tuning down your guitar on each string? A reply would be very much appreciated as your videos are awesome to learn on 👍🏻
You can capo the 4th fret and play D/C sharp minor/Bm/G/A or you can just not tune down and play the same chords im playing and sing it a little higher, it sounds a lot better using the G chord👍
Great lesson man I’ve been waiting in this one for awhile. Also can you please teach us “sheriff you want to” by Luke combs
Glad you thought so Ryan! Thanks! I'll check out that song for ya👍🎸
Thanks so much man

I’m trying so hard to learn this song my problem is I can’t get my fingers in right spot
I did find a ton of value in your video thank you. But what I realized in this video is I was taught by my dad who had baseball mitts for hands and I was taught to play a weird way backwards for big hands. And I have to learn to play normal I guess. Or play a way that makes life easier.
