There's a chance there will be a decent amount of blood, but I doubt there will be a lot of it and other kinds of gore. My favorite part of Spiderman 2 is when Venom bit Kraven's head off with blood pooling on the screens and Venom's teeth were painted red. Definitely wasn't expecting that from SM2 lol
Edit: this game is rated M, so there'll probably be a good amount of gore. Thought it was going to be rated T 😅

I'm more curious on if they will effect the surroundings with the claws.. If you slice someone and they move to the side making you hit the wall, I wanna see claw marks left behind.. It'd be like seeing a Lightsaber phase through the wall without a heat trail

1. As a Wolverine comic book fan, it's awesome that the Wolverine game is going to take place in Madripoor. Some of the coolest storylines in the comics took place in Madripoor. Also, the game could introduce characters such as Roughouse, Bloodscream, Archie Corrigan, and more.
2. I think Insomniac should really take their time with this game. If it doesn't release until 2025, then it doesn't release until 2025. They should take all the time they need.
3. As far as combat is concerned, comic book fans know that Wolverine is a highly-skilled martial artist, who has beaten some of the best fighters in Marvel comics. Iron-Fist, Shatterstar, Captain America, and more. I hope they don't just make the combat violent, but also highly-skilled as well.
I want a Blade game so bad. Imagine a big open world, hunting down Vampire factions. Gun and sword play. It would be like Cyberpunk type combat with his powers. Air dashing and slicing and dicing.
The idea of this has just blew my mind. The possibilities are endless.
Or like the way he fights n his style in the Marvel Contest of champions mobile game.. With the wild acrobatic animations doing big spins flips with the dual katanas and the double uzis

Ima hafta disagree there. Well, maybe. Right now it feels like to do a Wolverine game right the tone would be incompatible with Insomniacs Spider-Man. They do live in the same Universe though, so I guess what I'm saying is I want to see the R version before I see the pg13 version, but that probably won't be a problem. Secondly, I think Wolverine is the kind of game that really benefits from being it's own thing. Being able to set its own tone. Not necessarily removed from Spider-Man, but distinct from it. I like they share a Universe. I want them to do Wolverine as much justice as Spider-Man, that's all.

Actually they could make it "open world/ free roam". All they would have to do is make like little hubs around the map (think Lego Marvel Superheros) that Logan can go to and he could select a Motorcycle to drive around the map. And in that Hub there could be several different styles and colors of bikes for him to choose from.
So like Days Gone but on a slightly smaller scale? I dig it.
It could easily be open world and not be a slog. Logan has a motorcycle, and they could add an acrobat type mobility so he could jump from tree to tree to get places fast, but you know cool like wolverine would do. Similar to webzip but not as graceful.
@@brytoncox Very true. Wolverine is also deceptively fast even with the adamantium. He’s also at minimum an Olympic level gymnast. He can run around 30 miles per hour though he can reach up to around 100 mph due to his pain threshold being superbly high along with his equally as impressive healing factor. The guy’s a beast.
they should make it a destructible environment and if you cause too many problems the Sentinels from X-men come after you . And summonable help like X-men or other marvel heroes

I hope they make this brutal with great damage physics effects. I love X-Men the animated series and I'd love to see more stuff based on that. The dynamic between wolverine & sabertooth. The training center. The 4 horseman & archangel. The interaction with the sewer mutants. There's so much to build off of the animated series. It's so much better than any of the live action x-men stuff.. the live action stuff is just not my jam personally.

Read somewhere that the art director from last of us 2 joined the wolverine team a few years back. Don't quote me on that tho. But if that's true the game is in good hands. Last of us 2 had amazing gore mechanics.

It really shouldn't play like Spider-Man at all. Wolverine handles nothing like the quick witted, agile, wall-crawler. It should feel like playing a 5ft tank with blades. Possibly play similar to an OP Ghost of Tsushima? Considering Wolverine has a samurai background.
I hope we get this wolverine game and a blade game as well.

Fun fact. Steve Blum has voiced Wolverine more times than any other VA and he also voiced him in Midnight Suns. Ironically enough Yuri Lowenthal who voices Spider Man, voiced him in Midnight Suns and had and scene with Wolverine voiced by Steve Blum.

There was a Deadpool game but it received mixed reviews and was delisted from 2 generations of consoles due to licensing issues.
They could make 3 Wolverine games and show Deadpool, The Hulk, Lady Deathstrike, The Reavers, X-23, Daken, Omega Red, Sabretooth, Maverick, Silver Fox, Weapon H, Alpha Flight group, Cyber, Mariko, The Silver Samurai, Nick Fury, Flashbacks of WW2 with Captain America and Wendigo.

I think there should definitely be a sandbox type area. I really don’t want another linear superhero game. I wouldn’t mind using the bike or jet to get around. I know he’s not the mobile type of hero. But having a small town or something, similar to a gta map, with destructible environment that can help show off wolverines healing factor. That would be what I want, since wolverines invincible, giving him addicting combat and extremely awesome visuals would really pack a punch. I hope it’s not Jedi survivor style😅

It will be GTA style of linear sandbox game with an open world but limited linear storyline without any tie in side missions or world development in game
Insomniac needs to make other Marvel games like a Daredevil game, a Hulk Horror game, a Thor Norse Mythology game, a Iron Man game, a Avengers game, a Fantastic Four game, a Captain America game and others.
Instead of Peter retiring I would be fine with him leaving New York to Miles for a bit. While Peter goes and teams up with the avengers level threat which hopefully in the future Wolverine will be apart of. In a way protecting Miles from being potentially killed. And it all stems from the trip to sokovia. Call me crazy but I still believe that wasn’t just an ordinary vacation for Peter and work for MJ. There’s a reason MJ is able to fight in Spider-Man 2 maybe her training isn’t complete.

EA's the publisher, not the developer. The game is being made by Motive who did the Dead Space Remake and helped make Star Wars Battlefront 2

It should. Motive are a good studio with a proven track record and unlike EA's failed games, they're letting Motive use unreal engine 5 instead of forcing them to use Frostbite

That sounds like an incredible waste of time and resources. I'd rather they just focus on a more linear world with some exploration like God of war Ragnarok so they can focus on combat and story, plus get the game out faster.
