I respect Hans Zimmer work on almost all films, the man is a genius. I listen to his music regularly. Having that said, I Love the music choice for the video. I listened Linkin Park in my elementary school, and even listen it today. In The End is nice metaphor of the Paul's life and his fathers. Good job on the video.
*I have a bit of a Game of Thrones feeling, although Herbert's work is much older and grander:* There's a house loyal to the empire and its the most honorable, and early on in the story the head of the house meets an ugly end. The basic situation is almost the same in both, but I'm very curious to see how it will be resolved in movie, since we know how it will end here. Wonderful vid! :)

Game of Thrones is mostly based on War of the Roses but authors take inspiration from each other. All these stories are based on human history, politics and lust for power.

Read the Dune Books in 1983 and 1984. Saw the 1984 Film. Liked the Music and the Film, but was not overwhelmed. Yesterday I saw the new Film. Now everything ist like I ever imagined.
As a military person, I do find it annoying the guards lining the carpet at the beginning are at parade rest. You’d think they’d snap to attention when the emissaries come out…
I had a similar thought, and I’ve been out of the military over ten years. It also irked me that there was no uniformity or synchrony in when characters moved in and out of parade rest. The thunderous roar of “ATREIDES! ATREIDES! ATREIDES!” was awe inspiring though.
He hasn't been introduced yet but another count loyal to the Padishah Emporor (specifically Count Fenring) is made interim governor of Caladan following the Atreides move to Arrakis
