Atheist here, I don't understand the issues that people are having with you. You have always done a great job at approaching religious topics respectfully. I think people just got angry because they misunderstood what you were saying in your video, I remember you saying that you only became a Christian because you started doing your own research, and that not everything you learned in the education system was true. It almost sounded like you were saying that atheists are only atheists because they are never skeptical about what they are told. Again, this isn't what you meant, but maybe people misunderstood? Anyways, keep up the good work, love your channel!

Your observation that these attractions cater to those who hold certain beliefs confirmed what I have read and heard about them from other sources. Knowing your background and occupation, I was pleased with your honest assessment, as it would have been easy for you to simply give a glowing review and encourage your subscribers to visit even if it conflicts with their worldview.

Thank you for sharing. The neutrality where things like religion and politics are concerned is one of the the things I love about your channel. Am I a believer? No. Did I know you are a minister? Yes. Does that stop from watching? Heck No! I truly believe that this world would be an extremely boring, tiresome and tedious place if we were all the same. You wouldn't have to get to know anyone because you'd already know what they thought about something, what they believed, what they do and don't like etc. A very dear friend of mine is very much a believer and yes sometimes I get tired of the way she clearly runs everything through what I call her religion filter but she wouldn't be the woman that is my friend if she didn't. If you don't like or agree with a video either don't watch it or stop watching when you realize you don't like/agree with it. I didn't watch the videos you mention because I wasn't interested and don't believe but I'm not going to stop watching just because of two videos. I love your personality and humor and the inside look you provide in to what it's like to work in a theme park. Take care of yourself and I'm so sorry you're having to deal with rude, ignorant, narrow minded, fearful people that can't practice the saying live and let live and agree to disagree.

Yes, that's my office. lol Patons get to see a behind the scenes video, so they get a better look at it. We just have absolutely no room at our home for something like that (where I do the live streams is actually my computer set up in our dining room), let along a studio. Oh, wouldn't that be nice! :-)

It sucks losing subscribers, but id rather you lose them than have a full subscribers list that is just infested with negativity. There's a difference between not agreeing with what someone does and just being flat out nasty.

I am an ordained Baptist music and education minister serving in a church and I also enjoy theme parks, especially WDW and Disneyland park history. I collect Disney railroad items and have them displayed in my office. Also, I am a professional Santa Claus and keep Christmas in my office year around. Yes, my office is crowded. You are doing a great job, keep going in both your ministry and in your fun hobby. I appreciate the joy you show in sharing your theme park "hobby" with all of us, we all need more joy in life. Will keep you in prayer concerning your health, glad to know it's under "control."

Wow. I really respect you for making this video. I think it’s healthy to rant every now and then. I apologize for the people who thing differences=bad. That’s not how it should be. I also really respect you for trying new things. Even though you may disagree, it’s very inspiring to see you go into it with an open mind and a thirst to learn. We don’t really see that too much anymore. Although some may not, I really respect you for making this and those past few videos. I’ll still be here. I hope we can move past this and find ways so it doesn’t happen again. So sorry to hear that you are getting such negative comments. We understand completely! Our channel is way smaller and we post lots of videos meant to share our dog training experience. One of our videos gets lots of negative comments because we are not "perfect" during a training skills test and we just try to stay positive. Hopefully those negative people can still learn to treat others with respect. Wish you the best and hope your health improves! Keep sharing your stories! We all love them!
It always boggles my mind that the ones that are so hateful and intolerant towards other people who don't believe what they believe are also the same ones screaming at you that you have to be more tolerant and loving towards all people, but especially (and typically only) people who agree with what they believe. They are the epitome of hypocrite. How can you preach tolerance towards [certain] people or groups of people and yet be so hateful towards the people who disagree with what those people or groups of people are doing. Isn't the saying "hate the sin, not the sinner"?? Just because someone disagrees with what someone or a group of people are doing does not mean that they also hate the people that are doing it (or people like them who AREN'T doing what they are doing).
To put it in to your context (so as to leave other hot topics out of it), these people who are so hateful just because you are going to Disney World (for example) are the same people who are praising, for example, some other youtuber for going to Cedar Point, because that's their favorite park, and they hate "The Mouse" but yet at the same time say "oh we love youtubers who post about the places they go and we should give theme parks and amusement parks a chance but just not Disney because Disney is an evil corporation". You may personally and vocally express your dislike of Cedar Point (or have done so in one video), but does that mean you dislike the youtuber who went there? No not necessarily- you may love watching their other content or may even know them personally. So for them to call you names and say how dare you hate on Cedar Point and praise Disney World so highly..... that's just ridiculous and hypocritical because guess what? They're doing the same thing- praising Cedar Point goers and insulting Disney goers.
It's as I always say- if you don't like something, you have two options: 1. say nothing, ignore it, and go away from it (walk, scroll, click past, change, etc) or 2. Find out more about it so you can find out why you don't like it but other people do. People can still be "ignorant" and tolerant at the same time- it's impossible for us to know everything about everything- but to be "ignorant" and intolerant, that's when it gets messy.
Keep up the awesome work and no matter what the content, I will always watch. Or not.... but I'll never send hate mail!! That's just dumb.

Tony DNY That's a good way to put it. I think some people view entertainers as puppets who are obligated to perform for them instead of actual people. They feel entitled and turn on someone when they don't do exactly what they want.
Love your channel! Ahhh...RUclips is the place for armchair warriors and their hateful and negative comments. The power of the DELETE and BLOCK buttons are greater! And, using hate and attack to try to get someone to see your way, that's not the way to do it, and it's quite opposite, in actuality. Keep doing what you are doing. It's your channel.

Hi Sir Willow, I'll start by saying sorry. Sorry that you had to deal with all of the idiots of the internet. Sorry that you even felt the need to make this video. People like them are why I don't call myself an atheist, because of all of the negative connotations that come along with it. My personal policy is that if it doesn't interfere with someone else, do whatever you want. I honestly feel the would would be at least a bit nicer if people stopped trying to tell others how they should live their life. I personally am truly happy for you discovering your faith. From what you show on the internet, it seems to fulfill you, and your joy and passion on both of your channels is very contagious.
One thing that I would like to touch on briefly is your mention of people telling others not to shop at places, etc. because of differing viewpoints. I'll preface this with a note that it may not be directed at me or those like me, but I still think it is worth saying. If it was as simple as just a company's CEO believing something different than me, I would have no issue. However, that is not always the case, and several companies donate large sums of money to various charities and organizations. As a member of a minority that is often targeted, I refuse to shop at several places, because in effect, some of my money is going to people who actively don't want me to exist. I also humbly ask those that I know to look into where there money is going before they shop. If they still chose to do business there, I may be disappointed, but that is there prerogative.
To end on a slightly higher note, thank you so much for your videos, and I do hope that your health improves. When I first found your channel, I immediately went back and binge watched almost all of your videos. Your enthusiasm is unmatched on RUclips, and your insights are wonderful. First of all, take care of yourself. Heart problems are nothing to mess with. For me personally, one of the reasons I love your channel is that you always try to keep things positive and upbeat and not focus on the negative stuff so much. I just wanted you to know there are people who appreciate you for that and support you for that regardless of rather or not if we agree on everything. Haters are going to hate regardless of what you do so don't dwell on it too much.
In my opinion, you do a fantastic job of balancing the channel and your faith. It is mentioned, but its not overwhelming. I am saddened that we, as a people, have become so negative and close minded that we can no longer disagree with each others opinions and still respect each other. I'm sad that tolerance and differences are no longer celebrated/okay. We say that differences are great, but our actions speak SO much louder!! What makes us different is what makes our world fantastic and helps us learn and grow as a community. I appreciate this video. Thank you for doing this!

It makes me so sad and angry what goes on in the world now! 1- your channel is about travel and visiting cool sites and theme parks and different attractions even if people don’t agree 2- there’s never a reason to degrade someone or be rude Bc they believe in different things 3- you are so kind and fun to watch and should never apologize for your beliefs and for being yourself, your faith is part of you and part of your life and I think you actually do a great job of sharing your faith without preaching and you are very neutral..... sending you blessings and prayers and love! 3 things that people forget:
1) Respect is a 2 way street when it comes to religion. I'm not a religious person but I respect those that do. That goes for Christians, Muslims, or people that worship Cthulhu. In return, I expect to live my life without being harassed about how my "non-believing soul won't be saved when the rapture happens".
2) People ALWAYS have the option to not play a video (or end it part-way through) and continue on to another video.
3) If you don't have sometime nice to say, don't say anything at all...especially about something as personal and as deep as religion.

Its very scary how so many people can be so closed minded. It seems like the world is becoming less tolerant every day and people refuse to even listen to viewpoints that are not similar to their own. I suppose that maybe it was always that way and we just see it more because of how people are connected through technology these days. Since I first found your channel I've appreciated that you present yourself as a real person passionate about your content and not as a heavily filtered personality. It's obvious to those that have met you and seen your work what your priorities are.

Well said Sir Willow! You have so many people that love you and your channel, don't forget that. I think that everything you said needs to be heard (and not just in context here in youtube-land). It's sad how we as a society can accept certain behaviors and in the internet's case, it's all anonymous, written through a screen. I think that's how some youtubers or even celebrities handle being ripped apart constantly; they are only words on a screen and yet that still doesn't mean they're not hurtful. As an opinionated, atheist, homosexual I would probably disagree with you on a great many things. However, there are a lot of things I do agree with you on, especially your views on the easily offended professional victims out there. If I see you upload something that isn't in my interests, I don't watch it. Simple. It's your channel and you have the right to do on it what you wish, so long as it doesn't violate RUclips's terms of service. In fact, I would stand by your side and fight for your right to speak your mind, even if I disagree with the message. I stumbled upon your channel a long while ago while talking about behind the scenes at the Disney Parks, and while it took a few videos to get used to the accent (I'm in the UK, so yours is one I don't hear often), I have been thoroughly entertained by your ability to tell stories in an engaging way (especially about your time on the trains at Silver Dollar City - I'm a steam loco enthusiast). All that public speaking in your role of a pastor probably helps there. So chin up, good sir. The RUclips comment area is usually a cesspool, but yours usually is quite a nice place, and I think that reflects well on you. Try not to let the few bad apples ruin your enjoyment of the platform and don't take their comments to heart. You've got to take care of it, afterall. :)

I remember when I came across your channel about a year and a half ago when I was at AIT in Fort Eustis Virginia, 1000 miles from my home and family in Missouri, it really lifted my spirits to hear you talk about Silver Dollar City when I just felt down in the dumps, it really brought me home. You hit the nail on the head with what you just said, please keep it going, it’s nice to see someone as uplifting as you in a time that is filled with Debbie downers
I really enjoyed hearing what you had to say without actually knowing what started it all. When I created my channel it was long ago and just because it was a new thing.... but when I started to upload and create content it really was for me. Just as you said, I thought, you know it sure would be cool if my grandkids one day could come see what their Grandfather did... long after im gone. The negativity in this world is just crazy and sad. Sad that people would rather spend their time online attacking others rather then going out and actually living their own life. I found it a little funny towards the end when you said, "I feel sorry for you" about whats going on in their life. This is actually one of the things ive tried to teach my kids so that they can better deal with the negativity of others. Anyways, I commend you and respect you, well done.

Thank you for bringing these hateful comments to light. Thank you for standing up to these bullies. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for your awesome videos and thank you for continuing to be you. It really is sad that these people live such horrible lives that they have post such hateful comments to make themselves feel superior. Don’t worry about the drop in subscribers; I’m sure for every subscriber you lost, you’ll gain two or more awesome subscribers in return.
I appreciate how you accept all people as they are regardless of their beliefs or lifestyle. I also don’t take anything at face value and investigate everything to arrive at my own personal conclusion. You’re correct that extremes to one side or the other simply impede us as a society to accomplish things to improve our community as a whole. I approach all people with an open mind as to who they are and what they believe but I feel like you that if they cannot accept as I am and my beliefs than the problem is theirs and only they can fix themselves. Sir Willow, I appreciate who you are. I appreciate your channel. I am sorry for the reaction you have received for visiting the creation museum and Ark Encounter. I went a few years ago and loved it. I agree with you about being more accepting of differences. Unfortunately the only way some people can feel good about themselves is by tearing others down, and it stinks. I am a Chaplain in the Maryland Army National Guard. I appreciate your Chanel because I am 50 and most Coaster/ theme park enthusiasts on You Tube are young. So I appreciate a person in my age range that enjoys these things. I will pray for your health.
