    For those who are on strict budget or live check to check this is a great (temp) fix. Most roofers would still try to sell u an entire roof. Great honest video/tip 👏🏼

    A roofing co. was putting on a neighbor's new roof, so I asked the man to come look at mine & give me an estimate. He found that the shingles were fine, but like yours, the nails in various places needed caulking. He was kind enough to do that for me at no charge, as an elderly woman of 80. At any rate, I still have one more leak in my bathroom..... This one seems to be more than the other quarter sized spots had been, so I don't know if it's the nails, or in this case, a vent around the area where the leak is. I'm too old to get up there myself, so I guess I will have to hire someone, but at least now after watching your video, I will be protected from any scams. Thanks! I can't help but wonder tho' if you always do roofing repairs in high winds like that? It looked like you had a terrible storm coming! Of most importance is to be safe!

      Well that's funny I mean he may not be the owner but I'm the love of my life and the father of my kids he was a roofer for a while and he literally fell through on a windy day and literally drove himself to the hospital in a 5-speed with the broken leg

    Thanks for the video. I’ve searched as best as I can from the rooftop. My roof is leaking from a spot which is inaccessible to inspect from inside the attic and interior of the patio roof that has a stucco ceiling. Now I’m wondering if camera on a long snake like apparatus could be fed into the void from a ceiling light fixture to help locate the leak. Thanks for posting your method and fix. Good for you helping out so many of us.

    Thanks, very helpful. Roof of my house leaking constantly, no matter whom we hired for repair, didn't help us. From last year we started to fix our roof ourselves and it is much better now, but still from time to time we have leaks in different places on our roof.

      @@floofsale yep, in good times, total roof replacement in the US costs a fortune and there is no guarantee it will be properly done due to not professional work roofers do. We already paid so much money and problem was not fixed at all. If you live in the USA you could relay only on yourself to fix anything due to bazarly awful quality of workers and insanely high prices for bad work. This is this video is so helpful.

    Also, i find that the smooth shank air gun nails used on my roof decking by the builder migrate up throgh shingles creating leaks and some edge seems nails missed trusses or barley caught them. been fixing periodic nail pops for 15 years. now gonna fix all those with spiral shanks and new roof

      @@GrandRoofingInc The 12x18 ft room was added on to the house 25 years ago. The roof is a 4-12 pitch. The roof ridge ties into another roof making two valleys. I can’t access the attic space to look for the leak. The water leak in the ceiling is 2 ft from the valley. There is no truss running from the valley to where the leak is for water to follow. I tried watering with a hose, no leak. Apparently there has to be a heavy down pour, more water than my hose can put out. Suggestions on what I can try next?

    How to fix slight bulge on our ceiling because of leak come from the roof?

    • @Oneklickmedia
      @Oneklickmedia Год назад +1

      Bulge is water and air pocket/bubble. Best bet is to drill a hole, let water run and dry out. Most likely I would replace drywall and let things air out for a week before patching it. Mold is no joke!
      I smell mildew even catching leak early before hit the ceiling few days ago. These videos had been helping me identify tons of things previous owners fail to mention or notice.
