Neither do I allow anger or resentment to take hold of my feelings for that would defeat the purpose. It's easier now that I'm much older. Perks of aging? Never felt better!

I am almost 64 with T2 diabetes and I am slightly overweight. I started taking all these back in March. As soon as I learned I was exposed I self-isolated. pharmaceuticals, so far so good, I have never had a jab, neither did my children, they did
when they got older, jobs, etc. at least not when they were babies and toddlers. I have not used masks ( we don't have to here in Darwin) all normal. I don't use hand sprays, which are full
of poisons, I am not worried about a virus, if I get it , so be it, I won't stop living, fear is the
virus, perhaps because in 1971, I was 24 expecting my now 50 year old son, my mum 48 got Tuberculosis, we were together 24/7 until she went to the Sanatorium for 4 months. She came home, I had a beautiful baby, life went on, she was with us another 40 years...So, I have lived thru Polio, Diphtheria, small pox, typhus, Sars, Aids, TB. there will always be a virus or germs
they are part of our life. The trick is to build up the immune system and never be afraid. With fear they can control us. Don't give up your freedom.

Sadly, one of the deadliest of COVID-19's effects is triggering a cytokine storm from the immune system. Dexamethasone is a mainstream treatment for COVID-19 precisely because it hushes the immune system. It allows the virus freer rein but does more to prevent immune system runaway.

I have never had the flu.
    I don't wear a mask.
    I don't social distance.
I only wash my hands when dirty.
I haven't been jabbed with the vaccine.
I do get a common cold around once every 5-6 years. I take zinc as soon as the symptoms occur to minimize the effects.
I haven't had a sore throat in more than 30 years. If my throat feels scratchy I eat some fresh pineapple and the next day my throat is as smooth as silk.
Even though I am out in the sunshine every day I need to take a vitamin D supplement.
    I never smoked.
I never drank alcohol except a little wine.
I do eat a healthy diet for the most part. Chocolate is my weakness.
My high metabolism won't allow me to gain weight no matter how much I eat.
I did have a heart attack 15 years ago. Two stents. Dr said I couldn't drive so I walked 2 miles to the store the day after discharge. I felt like a 20 year old again.

I believe in science, frequent hand washing, healthy eating, daily fitness, and a good nights sleep. I drink a glass of wine each day. Everyone’s wellness threshold and beliefs are different, so we should be very aware of the germs we can spread to others who may not be as healthy. Being clean, masking, vaxxing all contribute to reducing spread of bacteria and viruses.

That's awesome. Agree. I can also tell you - this protocol at 4:58 works ...but I'd take 2000 C and 1000 Quercetin if you actually get sick (and I surely hope you don't). Start taking it the moment you think you're getting sick. It works to get the zinc into your cells, which is the key - the zinc stops the protein causing for viral replication. Zinc can't get into your cells well without a zinc ionophore...Quercetin plus C act as a natural, cheap zinc ionophore. This is also a good preventative regimen but I'd take 500 quercetin minimum. See Dr. Vladimir (Zev) Zelenko's website, he has studies and the protocol is free on his website, too.

He has an extremely physical job and was strong as a horse, but he is still so weak that he can barely go down our stairs. It could take months to get back to normal. I've never seen him like this. He had a heart surgery before and was much, much stronger and walked around and did things I had to fuss at him for. With this he just laid there with no TV, no music, nothing. I was so scared! The hospital wouldn't take him because he didn't need to be on a ventilator yet. I was walking around trying to take care of him while having a fever myself and coughing. Body aches galore. But I wasn't even HALF as sick as him. I honestly believe the supplements I have been taking saved my life. I get pneumonia a lot and the last time I was in the hospital with it, I went into septic shock and almost died. I've been on a ventilator before. I get sick so easily that I thought COVID was my death sentence. Instead, I was nursing my sweetheart and soul mate of 35 years back to health. He's slowly getting better and I'm so grateful. I'm feeling pretty good. My cough is almost completely gone and I'm feeling pretty much back to normal. It's going to take a long time before hubby can do his job again. We are here with no money coming in and waiting for our eviction notice. My family has helped us with some food. I ate a can of Spaghetti O's for Thanksgiving dinner 🍲. LOL
I'm just really, really sad that we won't have a Christmas. My favorite time of the year. I'm just busy trying to keep the lights on and trying to find help with our rent. I love to decorate, but why bother when nobody will see them? This has just ruined our lives.
    I'm sorry. 🥺 I didn't mean to whine.
It's just that this stuff is real and it's wicked. Protect yourself and take supplements. It's good for you anyway, but like I said, I believe they saved me from going on a ventilator. I believe they saved me from getting sick like my healthy husband. I honestly recommend to everyone to do the same. I beg my family to take them. My husband is taking them now as well. A little late to the party, but if it ever happens again, he will be ready.
Please stay safe 💞 and do everything you can to stay that way. Bless you all.

I would like to correct you on one of the issues. On the quercetin, it is important to use bromalin with it because of absorption. Second, the dosage of 800mg BID is best to result in inhibiting the histamine release during histamine storms . Just a suggestion to consider. Trials frequently are too low to be effective.

And the trials are rigged to show failure -the HCQ trials were on very sick hospitalized patients instead of as an early treatment regimen to prevent hospitalization (which is where it works, not on the very ill), or in lethal doses 4x the typical dose.
Per Dr. Zev Zelenko, the Quercetin plus Vitamin C are supposedly the combination to act as zinc ionophore.

The UK recovery and WHO solidarity trials were both badly flawed and possibly fraudulent as they used irresponsibly high doses of HCQ, without zinc, in patients that were already very sick. This protocol was then used to conclude that HCQ was useless. Im still unsure whether HCQ is effective as a result. One thing is certain though... what those studies did is not science.

I’m certainly not saying he’s the definitive expert in this research but his assertions are based on credible peer-reviewed research. He does endorse limited amounts of vitamin D and even goes on to recommend supplementing the vitamin D with vitamin K 2. But then he conflates vitamin K 2 with vitamin K, which is a completely different product. Vitamin K 2 is largely used to prevent and treat osteoporosis, not hemophilia. But I do think you’re on the right track with the proper use of vitamin supplements. You now need to understand how vitamin supplements are, in fact, beneficial to a healthy immune system.

You are correct to a certain extent. What needs to be addressed further is the quality of the supplements used in clinical trials and those one consumes. There are supplement manufacturers who cut corners by utilizing poor quality material and fillers which reduce the effectiveness of some supplements.

I don’t see how you got from this that she’s a vitamin supplement “ skeptic”, or “failed” to address benefits to the overall immune system. She clearly stressed at the beginning, and then again at the end that Vit C AND D have been shown to help shore up immunity, and that those two two are the ones she strongly recommends! The B Vit’s might also be of some benefit, but she certainly didn’t try and DISCOURAGE anyone from taking them - stated that they’re critical to overall health - the other supp’s she discussed may have their own benefits not necessarily related to respiratory infection prevention, and only sounds cautious about one that I noticed - quercetin. maybe you need to watch the video again, and really listen to what she’s saying- seems to know her stuff!

As a D.O. with a Bachelors degree in 'Food Science and Human Nutrition' (UofF), I want to point out the most common conspicuous error I see in Nutritional studies, which is failure to test pre and post of these nutrients in study participants. Can you imagine not measuring starting blood pressure in a study about prescription medications for reducing blood pressure? Or, as in your example, testing thyroid levels before and after thyroid supplements(?). I applaud the study on vitamin D that tested levels & reporting benefits for people who start out low in Vitamin D. Optimizing nutrition offers an evidence -based- medicine approach, but only if they have access to someone qualified & willing to order appropriate tests. It is not uncommon for many deficiency symptoms to resemble symptoms of excess since many of the same biochemical pathways and organs are effected. While increasing nutritional research data is long overdue, it's also widening the gap between the current education of most primary care providers relative to how this body of knowledge could & should be applied.

Very interesting. I have caught covid 3 times in 18 months, from 7th Dec 2019 right up to May 2021. I almost lost my life 6 times suffering from pneumonia, congestive heart failure, blood clots, extreme swelling of feet and legs, leaking legs from congestive heart failure bought on by covid and obesity. I suffered with high fever, extreme headaches, loss of smell, loss of appetite, suffocation which felt like I was drowning, chest pains, tight chest, extreme difficulty breathing (it was scary), could not lay in a horizontal position for long because my lungs would fill with fluid and I felt like I was dying through suffocation. I suffered with dizziness and more. This is the worst viral infection I have ever suffered with. I refused to go to hospital because all the people I knew who went to hospital did not come back alive. The first time I caught the virus in 2019 was the worst of them all. The 2nd time I caught the virus was 6 months later which was not as bad as the first, but scary in the breathing department along with coughing. The third time I caught it was again in December 20th 2020. This one was bad but not as bad as the first time. I suffered with the most excruciating headaches, blood clots, swelling feet and more. I caught the virus again in April 2021 which was the mildest of them all but caused severe swelling of my legs and feet. My heart also suffered with inflammation and irregular heart beats. Since then I have been consistent taking Vit-C, Vit-D, Vit-B complex, Zinc 30mg, Vitamin A, Cod liver oil, and Kelp sea weed 400mg. Touch wood I have been lucky so far and not caught it again. I will have to wait until 6 months have elapsed because I think my immune system with covid antibodies can hold off the virus (depending on the mutations floating around) for 6 months. I have also purchase a treadmill and practice gentle walking to increase blood circulation to get my heart muscles working. I have embarked on a weight loss crusade to rid my body of obesity, fatty liver and type 2 diabetes. For that I use the treadmill, have eliminated all the killer sweet sugary and salty foods from my diet. I eat let, I eat smaller portions of food, I get 8 hour sleep minimum per night. For my liver I add Soya lecithin to my meals, which help heal the liver and help produce better cholesterol. I have already felt the benefit of my change in lifestyle because I was heading for my grave the way my lifestyle was heading. I will be age 60 in a couple of months and will celebrate big if I get to reach age 60 alive. My health condition is that bad after suffering with covid. Thanks for sharing this video Subscribed. Finally, someone in the medical field has mentioned the role of other nutrients(vitamins and minerals) working symbiotically to affect the heath of individuals and their resistance to infection. You are the first one who has mentioned the use of vitamin C along with vitamin D. Vitamin C has been shown to increase the levels of interferon which is an antiviral substance made by the body in response to viral infection. The decrease in severity and duration may be the result of more interferon being made in response to infection. An increase in certain B-vitamins and minerals associated with energy metabolism in making ATP may facilitate the immune response due to need for an increase in ATP needed for the immune response. When the nutrients are in optimal levels, metabolism will not be limited due to a lower than optimal level of the vitamin or mineral needed by an enzyme to carry out the reaction.
It appears the USRDIs guidelines for nutrient intake are more for preventing a disease or ailment associated with nutrient deficiency rather than seeking optimal nutrient status. Also, supplementation of certain nutrients is important based on where the food is grown or if certain nutrients such as iodine or vitamin C are not available in the diet. Plants grown in formerly glaciated areas are usually deficient in iodine. Therefore, iodine needs to be supplemented/added if the food source comes almost exclusively from there. Also, vitamins can be lost or destroyed in processing or cooking or simply over time.
It is important to maintain the proper ratio range of vitamins and especially minerals. It is always better to get one's nutrients via food rather than supplements because healthy plant and animal tissue generally has the nutrients in the right ratios. An over abundance of a certain mineral can result in a depletion of the mineral "tied" to it. When taken in mega-doses and therefore above the proper ratio range, vitamins and minerals should be considered and treated as medicine and therefore only taken in those amounts temporarily and under medical supervision. Your example with vitamin C is an excellent example of mega-dosing with vitamin C. I think it would be impossible to eat enough oranges to create the vitamin C mega-dose effect. However, it is very easy to accomplish taking vitamin pills.

    • @DrinkingStar
      @DrinkingStar 3 года назад

@M Jazz 100% is the USRDI(formerly the USRDA) to prevent a dietary deficiency disease. It is a "1 shoe fits all" formulation based on the "average American". For a certain % of the population(based on age, gender, activity level and health status) this is too little or too much. In addition, it is not the optimized amount. A 100 lbs. sedentary 90 year old 5' female has a different vitamin/mineral requirement than an 18 year old 250 lbs. 6'5'' male athlete. The 100% USRDI might be too much for that female and too little for that male.
What is mentioned in this video is the recommended therapeutic amount. Such amounts at this level are well beyond the dietary recommendations to prevent a disease due to a dietary deficiency. Any nutrient( vitamin, mineral, herbal, etc.) taken at therapeutic levels should be viewed more as a medication and less as a nutrient. As such, they should only be taken in that amount for short periods of time and preferably under a doctor's recommendation and supervision.

As a specialist in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, I do recommend that people supplement Vitaman D (most are deficient). Likewise, a bit of Zinc supplementation absolutely cannot hurt.
Personally, I always take a mulitvitamin because the "fresh" foods from the supermarket contain almost no nutrients for a variety of reasons: exposure to light, long storage and transport times, being picked unripe, depleted soils, etc.

I had covid in Feb of this year. My doctor prescribed ivermectin, quercetin, NAC, zinc, vitamin c, vitamin d, and melatonin because I am such a high risk patient with obesity, over 50, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I never ran a fever, never developed a cough, and never had a breathing issue and oxygen issues remained normal. I was able to go back out in public within 2 weeks. However, my blood pressure went up during this time and had extreme fatigue, lost sense of smell for almost a week, and had gut issues for a month after and fatigue for months after and some awful pains in back, neck and legs during covid that went away within a week. I had cold and flu symptoms, a dripping nose for a long time, headaches from blood pressure going up for over a month until I got on more meds. I thank god for this doctor. I believed this helped me get over covid quicker than I would have and keep me from developing worse complications for my comorbidities and age.
