You know till I watched this video I wasnt aware of the importance of checking the blind spot? Thanks for these videos. Now I can realise everything. CA
I have quite a story to share. In my home country, getting a driving license often involves bribing a few officers. I’ll admit, I didn’t have the time to go through the proper process, so I got my license before moving to the UK last year. This loophole allowed me to purchase a car and legally drive on UK roads, despite having no actual driving experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone follow in my footsteps-there’s definitely a problem with the system that needs addressing. Before driving, I made sure to pass the UK theory test (scoring 50/50) and studied the Highway Code extensively. Once I had that understanding, I taught myself how to drive using RUclips videos and a lot of patience. Safety was my top priority, so I started slow: only at night, only on quiet roads, and I never took shortcuts. It took me three days just to release the handbrake! Over time, I gained confidence, and after five months of consistent practice, I passed my UK driving test today (December 27, 2024) with only 1 minor (footbrake). I’m overjoyed and so proud of how far I’ve come. However, looking back, I can see how dangerous this journey could have been if I wasn’t as cautious. It’s shocking that the system allows someone with zero driving experience to be insured and drive alone. This loophole could lead to serious consequences if exploited by someone less responsible.
You mentioned we have to do 6-point check including blind spot each time we stop and move off- does this include: 1. when giving way to a oncoming vehicle on a narrowed road where you stop slightly on the side for them to pass 2. When stopping at traffic lights
No…dear .. 1)after giving way any meeting situation check top mirror and right mirror then move. 2)before moving on a traffic light check left, right and top mirror then move…I hope its help . 6point check basically before moving off ..
You will pass and you will come back to share your testimony. I have my test in march. I pray I pass this time. I have failed twice. I will be back here to share my testimony too🙏
