Great video! I had forgotten how to use Gargeband, old iPad ran out of storage so had to choose between Cubasis 3 and GarageBand but now I have both I am really liking the features and instruments a lot 👍👍💪🎹
That is the maximum capacity of GarageBand music. I honestly was able to go lower with an apple audio unit extension called AUNewPitch. If I want a lower sound, I click on the extension, I move the pitch line, and move it down to the maximum low pitch in the extension. And same to the high pitch. But 128 keys is still a LOT of keys!
Word to the wise : At 4:00 when he loads “80’s signature keyboard “. If you’re having problems dialing it in like I am be advised that you must have the “Keyboard collection “ sound pack loaded . It’s on there .

Hi! I just want to know if you can use any audio file - like someone talking or making a sound - as a sound for the piano. I hope you understand what I mean… 😓 For example, like Gabe The Dog covers/remixes.
Pete if you could do a best of external instruments show I’d think you are cooler than I already think you are…. Especially electric and acoustic guitars …thanks!
@@PeteJohnsMusic An aggree with Mr. Ken Ken. A video about the best instruments on the iphone would be very useful. Are there realy good pianos and e-pianos? Hi Pete - I am using an external "dumb" standard MIDI keyboard to connect via iRIG to my Ipad which is running Garangeband IOS and want to do LIVE music. Is there any way I can split my keyboard so that the bottom octave is playing Garageband Bass sounds and the top octaves are playing Garageband Guitar or Keyboard sounds... all this LIVE ??? Also, Is there anyway I can get a drum backing (you know standard drum 4/4 time or something to accompany the song.. without actually having to pre-make a song...)
Hey there. Not in my experience I’m afraid. GarageBand iOS only has support for a single instrument at once. Maybe ask over at the Create Record Release Facebook group at createrecordreleaae.com, or the Discord group here - studiolivetoday.com/discord.

Maybe I’ve overwatched it but how can I control the hardness of the keys? Sometimes when I press it’s extremely loud and other times it isn’t… Although I’m touching the keys like crazy hard haha it won’t come out as loud and vice versa.

@@PeteJohnsMusic I already understood what the problem was. On the keyboard there are some letters marked c2 c3, I didn't really understand what it was because I don't know anything about instruments. In short, I speak Spanish and what c meant in Spanish is do
I imagine you have added to your “keyboard” section my iPad under keyboard only has about 7 categories.you seem to have keys I don’t have like 80’s bitrate etc. Am I right? Actually I was just able to download these..never mind😂

A gem 💎. These tips are powerful. Thanks. ✌️
Very welcome. Thanks for your support as always.
The lowest note you can play on GarageBand is C-2 and the highest note you can play is G8.
Really? I thought you could go lower than that? And higher too? Maybe you need to edit in the piano roll.

Not sure sorry? I haven’t watched this in a while.
Can you add sustain after the notes have been entered?

I noticed that you have more chords in the auto play section than the usual 7 notes how do you get that please?
Might just be the size of your device. Some iPads and iPhone have smaller screens.
Great Video! I may have missed it but is it possible to transpose by semitones?
Once you have played in a part, yes you can. ruclips.net/video/Ag9_C8O5k0o/видео.htmlsi=uD1bSdqf4F4Q9rz0
Another great video, Pete. Is there anything that comes close to sounding like a Mellotron? How about a Farfisa organ?
There’s a nice Melotron sound in the “Watch the Sound” pack I demonstrate here.

Hey Pete I wasn’t able to change the layout of the piano on my iPhone.
Yeah the iPhone can’t be changed sorry.
@@PeteJohnsMusic oof. Thanks for telling me!
Awesome tute! But when I go into edit chord and try to play a 7th chord (eg, A7, C7, E7 or whatever) it only plays it as a major.
Yeah it depends on how many notes you play. The more complex chords aren’t always exactly what you’d expect.
I imagine you have added to your “keyboard” section my iPad under keyboard only has about 7 categories.you seem to have keys I don’t have like 80’s bitrate etc. Am I right? Actually I was just able to download these..never mind😂
