Take the third row out and make it an extended range PHEV. I'd feel right at home coming from my Sportage. All the extra room in and under the center console is great!

Only a 4 cylinder engine??? I had a 2007 santa fe (bought brand new). That was a 6 cylinder. The subframe actually rusted and broke a few months ago. The damage was beyond repair. But anyways, 15 years and 130k miles I can't complain. The engine still ran really really well and never had any issues with the power train.
I went and bought a 2024 sportage to replace it :) little did I know at the time that buying a kia now is just like buying a Huyndai lol. I love the sportage so far (though I do miss the 6 cylinder feel).
I get it, all cars have their issues over time. But I really hope the Kia sportage won't have a lot of brake issues or electrical shorts like the 07' santa fe had. My power locks stopped working correctly. I had a frozen caliper like 3 times. Brake pads seemed to always wear to the rotor causing me to need to buy new rotors before I even knew I needed pads etc... I wish the brakes weren't so exposed. You can see them right through the rims. They'll rust and get salt on them.
Turbo all it needs, only in the hybrid though

I am on my second Santa Fe and this one could just be my third, when it comes out? I am loving the new style and can't wait to see this come to Canada and see it in the flesh. Hopefully the new car market settles down a lot more in 2024. I have a 2015 Santa Fe XL, which I think comes in just 5 inches shorter than the Palisade, but love the fold down third row and the extra cargo space. Mine is at almost 160,000km, but has been an excellent work horse!

Liking the XRT styling maybe they can offer options on the top of the line model to add the off load features and look.. Next Gas vs Hybrid ? Haven't seen to many reviews on the hoit you take for a hybrid.

Awesome work Hyundia! I really like the look and spec of this Santa Fe. Please take a page out of Ford Bronco Sasquatch option and offer a factory oversized tire and lift option for all models, maybe a 32” tires. This would create the awesome look of the concept xrt on all options so if you want hybrid and vented seats but a bigger tire for rugged look you can have it direct from factory. With Ford most orders all requests the Sasquatch option I bet it would be the same for Santa Fe orders. Thanks!
I keep telling my sister - she has had 2 Jeeps (contrary to many comments - they are very good for reliability - the Hemi seemed over hyped and the V6 under hyped as it was much nicer to live with - in our opinion, very shortly after we got the 2014 we had the strong impression it was more "a keeper") - but in any case I was saying the hybrid might be the more durable/reliable for domestic use - simpler transmission, hybrid longevity, and still adequate performance. I just wonder if people who have driven used versions and see them coming and going would agree - or would say the dual-clutch is good for many years of kind of being able to not think about it as it just gives confidence of lasting a very long time.

Did you make it down to Kia/Hyundai headquarters in Orange County while at the show? One of my neighbors is a vehicle project manager at Hyundai.

If you find an engineer .. ask about that roof strength .. it has to be unusually strong. I have to think high strength and light metal. Roof strength is an often overlooked safety feature.
My previous santa fe 2015 had catalytic converter stolen multiple times. Could you please tell the location of catalytic converter in 2024 model. If it is at a easy to steal location, then this is not the right model for me. Catalytic converter theft is a menace in Canada.
Look at You Ladies, Gabby & Chalotte! Looking Good I I like the forward Thinking at Hyundai!! I'm not looking for a vehicle like this but it is powerful looking. However, I Don't like the Column Shifter - that was a failure with MB customers some short years ago.
