It's what the Sport Trac started. An SUV with a bed and longer wheelbase.
BTW I'm dreaming of a 2010 Adrenalin with V8, 4×4, navigation package and in lightning blue. 😎💙👍👍

I see the Santa Cruz as a modern day El Camino

We absolutely love our 2024 Santa Cruz Limited 2.5T, the new wet clutch DCT has been flawless and the sportiness in the way it drives just leaves you smiling all the time. This thing is damn quick!

The Santa cruz 26 mpg highway is wrong! Just bought one and we got 29 driving it back home. It's the turbo engine as well

2024 SEL and SE santa cruz has the 8 speed automatic instead of the dual clutch. I've managed to pull 32 mpg on the highway, granted a highway I know every turn and hill.

I've got the sel activity. I just burned through my first tank of gas... 26.1 mpg. Love the trucklet alot. Sure beats my Tundra driving to work.

I have the 2024 Limited. I have hit 33.9 mpg. Generally on the interstate at, well I won’t say what speed but a bit over the speed limit we get 27 to 30 plus.

I've heard several time the dual clutch is prone to early failure.

Yeah you don't want any regular car to have a DCT in it. The design of a DCT is meant for having super fast shifts....so basically they are meant to be racing transmissions. Better to stick with the non-turbo engine that comes with a traditional automatic. I'd say if you _need_ to tow more than 3500# then one should just opt for a real mid size or full size truck. And contrary to all the marketing, this thing and the Maverick are not real trucks. They are modern day El Caminos. They are just a car with a bed, and there is nothing wrong with that. But they should be advertised as such because calling them trucks is just misleading.

I think it's only on the turbo model. I was about to check that out.

I don’t believe that. Too much jealousy out there. Drive what works for you and your wallet.

The DCT is absolute garbage. Both people I know who own a Santa Cruz have had major issues on low mileage vehicles. Why a manufacturer would equip a vehicle of this nature with ANYTHING but an automatic transmission with a torque converter, is ludicrous.

generis statement for the MPG in the 22 city. i have the SEL and in the city i normally get 18-19 MPG, and about 29 on thy highway. don't get me wrong, i love the truck. in fact, i got it after my Maverick hybrid was on route to my hometown after waiting 13 months.
