Time Lapse Carving Goose Egg

  • Hello all from Rebekah Joy Studio! Thank you for your patience as I learn more about creating videos and posting them.
    The egg I am carving is a goose egg, purchased from farms around the US. The drill is a high speed pneumatic (air driven) drill that runs 300,000 rpms.

    I also carve eggs. The cut out could have gone faster with a 699 carbide bit which would have left a cleaner edge. Enjoyed the video.

      I am using a 699 carbide in this video, but I probably should have swapped it out for a new one. The 699 are great, unless you use them when they are dull like I did. Thank you for watching!

      It's a very thin tape called Washi Tape. It's usually used with crafts and paper arts. I find that it's perfect for eggshells because it is so thin, and it does not stick too much. It's easy to remove. Thanks for your question!
