RoboGames 2024 - Manta vs Magnitude

RoboGames heavyweight action from the 2024 event in San Jose. One of the better matches of the event! Manta from here moves on to the finals, but Magnitude shows amazing promise for a new bot, and I suspect we'll see more from them in the future!

without seeing manta's performance in wcviii it's hard to say just how strong it is, but I would say it might be a *serious* contender for the giant nut. The consistent reliability they're able to achieve paired with their massive weapon power and strong drive-train is pretty insane. I can't wait to see how they do in the next battlebots season

When a shard of the ceiling's plexan came down in the first 30 seconds I immediately started backing up from the stands after what happened last year (and what happened to bunny during the same event)

I have to agree, Magnitude really has a lot of promise and I'm also hoping we get to see more from them as well.

That's not currently the plan. Obviously I don't want to say never, but not my thoughts right now. For this event, the only combat robot I was really focusing on was our middleweight Mortician - which btw went undefeated and won the gold :)
