- Tombstone was on display again this year at Open Sauce, the annual Maker/Content Creator show in the SF Bay Area. This year's event was at the Cow Palace, and we're already looking forward to next year's event!

it would be so cool to see tiny tombstone at NHRL, at some point
I saw Tombstone on display in Vegas and went total fangirl.
Absolute pleasure meeting you at Open Sauce! Everyone I met from all the Battlebots teams was super friendly and generous with their time, even though I was massively star-struck the whole time (both by the builders AND the bots) 😅
As far as the badges I haven't assembled mine yet, but Colorado PCB Assembly were giving away the bags of components at their stall for free, and I saw Lisa Winter soldering her badge over at one of the other stalls (it was the Tool Camper Van). Maybe I'll put mine together this weekend!
Also if anyone hasn't seen it, it's definitely worth checking out the video from Makers Muse (about 2 months ago) where he turned his 2023 Open Sauce badge into a combat robot 😁

a fairyweight tombstone would be so cute, there's a lot of hubmotor builds you could reference like Micro Malice!
Yeah it would be a fun little build, and I'll probably have to lean on some of my fellow builders for basic parts guidelines for something so small. I just don't usually build anything that tiny!

The interesting part of that is, Last Rites and Brutality fought right before that. So the winner was going to face Biohazard, and Paul managed to beat me :) So I almost got my chance to be that guy!

At the Open Sauce event, they had a merchandise stand selling lots of cool merch, including the t-shirt I am wearing in this vid. If you bought over a certain amount, they gave you the little hat as a bonus. Tiny cowboy hat at the Cow Palace :) Anyway, it got set on Tombstone as his tiny party hat!
I do still have his Tombrero in the garage too!

Yes I did. I do occasional displays when I can.
@@ray9368 so, when you do put it up on display, do you remove the batteries, or remove all of the electronics?
@@BotvacProductions469 Nobody puts a combat robot on display with the batteries still in it! In fact the only time batteries are in the robot ever are in line at the event to go into the arena, and the fight itself.
@@ray9368 I should've known that! Imagine you and tombstone walking (or driving) down the street, the control in your hand, and as you walk, tombstone slowly drives along beside you like a dog. The neighbors would be so confused 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see the thumbnails got a revamp
My video editor/choreographer/favorite sister has been playing with thumbnails, and coming up with some to polish the look of the channel!

Nothing specific so far. I know they are still working on it, so hopefully we hear something soon!
