- This is final match for the middleweight class at the RoboGames 2024 event. It was a great event, and we all had a good time. And the hard work getting ready was worth it, getting us to the finals!

Nice, congrats getting the gold! Mortician is crazy powerful! I think this is the most powerful iteration of Mortician we've seen! I hope someday Tombstone comes back and gets another Giant Nut!

Remember seeing you on the RoboGames TV special back in the mid 2000s, been a fan ever since! I think it was you and Sewer Snake in the finals, which was an incredible fight, and this brought me back to it. Congrats on the win!

Mortician has always been the highest KE per pound of bot that we have run, and this version certainly has "enough" :) Actual KE numbers, yes it's probably at least what Last Rites had back in the day
Hey Ray could you make a video breakdown of all or at least the most significant changes you made to Mortician for the 2024 season? I think many people would be interested to see that.

There are certainly things that have value here, so good R + D for future builds. It's always a learning experience!
The spin up time at the start seemed weak, but improved. I'll be interested in seeing what the next video reveals.
We've still got issues to address. At this point it's as much software as it is hardware. We'll keep at it though!

Oh ye of little faith! I took a season off from BattleBots due to the hand injury, but have consistently built and competed a lot at other events since then.
Does this hive you a boost if confidence going back to battlebots with tombstone?

So whats the deal with the robogames arena? It just feels hastily put together in regards to lack of lighting (colors+excitement etc) and it's MASSIVE. Is there a reason why robogames differs so much from other arena's?
The only other heavyweight arena right now is the BattleBots arena. And it does have a lot more lighting to it, and wilder paint schemes, since it's for a TV show. RoboGames is more centered around being a competition, and of course has significantly less budget for the "showy" aspects like the BB arena.
