All of crabs- in fact a lot of crustaceans for that matter have very very small brains which limit certain things they can do mentally, like feel emotion. For example a crawfish cannot physically feel pain because of how small it’s brain is, and the same goes for a few other crustaceans too. In the mind of this crab I imagine the only thing that goes its head is; must eat, must sleep, must survive.

@@biga6664 That post was two years ago and today, those little crabs are twice the size and doing well. They seem to have a pretty good instict on what is ok to eat and what is not. I know they are omnivores and scavengers. I put most anything I can think of that I think they might enjoy in their enclosure. I have found that they like to eat fresh plants picked from the yard as well as people food of all kinds. I dont worry about them eating something they shouldnt anymore as they have it figured. I cook mostly all of my own food and dont eat a ton of processed food, so they get lots of vegetables and fruit . I only am speaking from my own experience. I am no expert in the subject.
