Do you think it is ok to reach out to agency's about shooting for local talent that is in whatever area you live in, even approach it like a potential internship when you have zero portfolio/experience? I am perfectly fine with starting out with some free stuff to even find out if it is something I want to continue/build a portfolio for the future.
Worst they can say is no! I would definitely do free shots or go shoot with your friends to get some portfolio work/experience because I’m not sure anybody would take me if I had zero work to show for. It’ll also get you more reps and help you get better
