Northern soul records were regularly covered up to when discovered so that they remained exclusive to that particular D.J increasing his following. They would put paper over the label and pt on a fictitious artist and title making sure they bore strong resemblance to the new spin. This track however had no name so it really mattered little who they credited to. You have to remember northern soul is about finding the most rare and obscure records possible so this one really fits the bill. After a few years on the northern scene it became a huge mod record and is still popular today but who it is will never be known. I simply love it.

If we only know 6 definite facts about the track then take the following with a big pinch of salt... So I cannot remember where I heard this but apparently the vocalist (whoever it was) recorded the track after she and the musicians came back from an extended lunch at a local bar. The producer was so disgusted by their unprofessional attitude he refused to let the song get released.
