I bought the original vinyl back in the day.
John didn't just turn up the BPM, it's carefully crafted to take the various elements on the multitrack and upgrade all parts especially sound quality.
If this version was relased back in 1986 on 12" take it from me it would have caused a sensation.
I would have been first in line to buy it at one of the London specialist record shops.
