- In this video I install a set of Donowyn's pannier stays on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. If you would like to purchase your own set contact Donowyn Rodricks on Facebook for details. donowyn.com/pro...
I'm glad he mentioned relocating the turn signals at the end of his video, I waited for that all the way thru. They're seriously obscured by the racks themselves, and will completely vanish when any bags are added.
Great videos.
No wasted boring time undoing bolts etc.
Good editing.
Excellent commentary.
Even I can follow instructions!
Sequence of fitting, do's and don'ts.
Well done. My mate who has just bought a Himalayan waits with baited breath for your up coming videos.
Thanks Kym. Haven't had much time for this channel lately (hence all the very slow replies,) but hopefully more soon!
I'm going for my bike license soon and these videos have been really good as I want to purchase a himalayan. Also it's good to see other states have taken on a bit of SA pride :D
Good luck with your bike license mate, you'll really enjoy riding. Have a lot of Himalayans been selling in SA? I lived in Adelaide for about 10 years.
Great video! I particularly like the minute details along with clear video that you include. Just a query - could you upload a short video or a picture of Himalayan with the pannier racks & the modified saddle bags, to see how much does the whole thing obscure the rear indicators - Thanks a lot!
Hi Akhilesh, I haven't had the panniers modified yet, but when I do I'll definitely show them fitted.
These panniers racks look good for saddle bags. Can they be useful to mount aluminium panniers
Hi sir what is the company that makes the racks called and please find a good loose panniers , the vids are great your easy to understand
I realize you purchased the pannier racks a few years ago, I just contacted the guy Don & his price seems very expensive, can I ask what you paid .... cheers
Hi
Grt diy job👌🏻👌🏻
Could u pl share contact for these panniers in India- want to buy for my recently bought Himalayan sleet
Thank u in advance
Cheers👍🏻👍🏻
Hai Sir can u explain what problems arise in Himalayan because many of the vedios shows the many problems of Himalayan,. I am planning to buy Himalayan can I buy it . It is worth I need your suggestions please sir
I haven't had any problems with my bike so far other than the rear rack breaking. It's a great bike to ride, I'm really glad I bought it.
ajumal hussain tku bro
Good video, could you please let me know how much they cost you and who from? Many thanks,
Hi Stuart, thank you for doing this set of videos. I am really looking forward to see what you come up regarding those saddle bags. (I'm eyeing the same bag for my Himalayan). Having the center piece go under the seat sounds neat. Did you try it?
With those bags in the stay, are you happy with the rear indicators' visibility at night?
I'm definitely going to run the straps under the seat. I'm hoping to have the bags modified very soon with a video to go with them.
Hello sir, you might be interested in checking this brand out. Here in India, almost every motorcyclist uses Viaterra products . PS : I dont work for them !
I happen to have used their 'claw' saddle bag for my Himalyan trip plus many other rides. The bag still seems like it can last longer. I even had a crash with that bag on . Only the rain cover tore off...the bag remained intact . Hope thus helps.
Thanks mate, I'll check them out.
Hi Akhilesh. I to have investigated the great range of Viaterra products available but shipping to Australia is extremely expensive for some unknown reason. I was quoted $80 shipping for a claw saddle bag. I think Viaterra will need to reassess its international shipping options.
Those panniers racks look pretty good. Getting my Himalayan on Friday and considering these panniers racks. How do you find then now after a year of use? Holding up OK?
The bags are still fine, although I only put the on for big trips and required carrying camping gear, for day-to-day riding I just use top box. Donowyn's rack has been awesome. Highly recommended!
@@DangarMotorcyclingthanks for your reply.Hope you don't mind a few questions. how much did you pay for them? Did you import them directly from Donowyn? What was the shipping costs?
hey man!good job with the video.
is there any way to improve the rear break or add abs on this bike??
+Abhijith n n The best thing you can do to start with is swap pads out for some good quality ones like EBC.
Seems like I am in love with your panniers , but wondering if they can be installed on classic 500. And when did you bough it from India :)
The panniers are actually made for the Bullets more than the Himalayan. I had to modify them to fit this bike. They are made by Royal Enfield so should be available at any dealer.
Dangar Motorcycling thanks
nice rach, could you get your rear light and blinkers go way to the back? that way you gain a large space to put luggage.
You could definitely relocate them, I might look into that in the future.
What's the width of the bike with the racks on in its closed flap position and the width of the handle bars ?
hi, are those the oficial Re pannier grils?
Dear Dangar!! Can you please tell me where can i get this racks in India!!!
Hi mate. All links in the description.
Goodday mate , Great video as always mate where did u get yourself those panniers? would love to know ??
cheers mate ..
The panniers are sold by Royal Enfield, I think you can get them from any dealer.
It is available in Amazon.com. price is Rs 2600/- or you can order from the Mumbai based manufacturer.
Do anyone know if these racks are compatible with the 2020 Himalayan and if so, are they still available?
The new model ones are awful!
i have one dought.. this aaddle rack may be effectring the rear suspension
The bikes suspension is designed for heavy weight. Himalayan even has their own version of what he's putting on the bike.
Nice rack actually fits well.
Thanks for d video
I wish you would do a blog on your Landrover
Aqui no Brasil ainda não chegou esses suportes laterais , estou a procura .
Can you please tell me where in mumbai did you order these pannier racks from???

On what number I can reach you?

Royal Enfiled is now providing the Panniers along with the racks, please try them
Replacing the rear indicator bulb is going to be a bit of challenge, i guess
I feel the right saddle stay is very close to the exhaust or so it seems.
It does get pretty close, yes. I haven't had any effects from heat on it yet so I think there is just enough distance to avoid any burning.
What tool are you using to tighten the bolts?
t's just a 3/8 inch rachet with a wobble head on it from memory. Something a bit like this www.ebay.com.au/itm/APEX-TOOL-GROUP-ASIA-3-8-Inch-Drive-Swivel-Ratchet-/332027092787
which tool you use to tighten and loosen up screws???
please reply to this message bro!

thanx a lot Danger Motorcycling
keep sharing,a fan of yours'!!
Sir could you please tell regarding the phone mount on the bike. It would be very helpful. Which brand & model no.
I can't recall exactly which one it was, but it was made by Givi. To be honest I don't really like it and I'm going to replace it.
Dangar Motorcycling ok sir thanks a lot
But why you don't like it... ???
It's hard to read through the screen, it's hard to get the phone in and out and the hole for the charge cable puts a lot of strain on the connector.
Dangar Motorcycling ok sir thank you

@@DangarMotorcycling Thank you.
I wonder if the cross brace is actually necessary - it does look quite ugly
You could possibly get by without it, but I don't mind the look of it so I think I'll leave it on for extra strength.
for shipping to Colombia what should I do? Thank you
I had mine sent to Australia from India so I think sending to Colombia will be fine too.
what is the procedure?
what price does it have?
Contact Donowyn, links are in the description.
Try to do video on best leg guard for Himalayan
If I add one I'll definitely film it, haven't looked into them though.

You can leave your no. Will whatsapp you.
Thanks. Very helpful
Cool explanation
These are only for soft luggage or saddles not for metal panniers.
Indeed, but panniers can be soft bags too, not only metal.
good job
Thanks mate!
Why is there a use of locktight on the screws ???
Just to make sure they don't vibrate lose while riding for extended periods off road.
excellent choice of beer
Don't use top box on rear luggage rack...It's only for mounting soft luggage
I re-enforced it for my top box. ruclips.net/video/nMkXRse-jT4/видео.html
Good Information.
Thanks mate.
Try the bags under the seat
Yep, that's the plan once it is modified.
you may not need to modify the bags
I had tried them under the seat during the filming of that video and the hand grips still make it way too wide for the bags to reach the sides as they are now.
My Andy Strapz Expedition soft panniers are adjustable - they were perfect for my Birdsville Track ride (on my Huskie)
Yes i have the same question to you.
Yes I'm based in Mumbai.
