Wow thank you so much for recording this interview! I hope people who watch this process her words, Seek to understand the impacts of trauma, learn to approach situations with a trauma informed lens. I work with children and youth everyday and yes the way they work through things and view life is magical. Be the light and hope for a healthy future.

As a survivor of SRA and CSA and advocate for children, including myself since the age of 5? I was riveted by this interview. “Children can tell if you like them or not.” That’s so true. You have done an outstanding job of explaining the complexities of the abuse of children. Thank you. Well done. 👏♥️🔥 Catherine Grace Redding California 66 yo granny warrior making them wish they had killed me every day. God helped me. He saved me and He gives me opportunity to help out. All glory to Him - it’s been productive and that feels GOOD!
Thank you for being the light for so many. Trauma informed practice, and EMDR therapy for survivors of unimaginable times of abuse, neglect, and terror can be life altering when done properly. I am a survivor of childhood trauma, and working through intergenerational trauma stemming from Canada’s residential school system. With loving support and gentle practice my mother is at the early stages of being able to speak of what she experienced there. Many don’t understand they can’t be pushed before they are ready as it end in devastating loss. They can’t “just get over it” but They CAN heal from it given time and care. I work with vulnerable children and youth and my goal during my time with them is to be a safe harbour and walk beside them on their healing journey.

The screaming kids in the background gave me serious PTSD I couldn’t focus on the interview given the subject matter 🥲
Very well done both x
