I have the Anchorage , I got it in the dockyard way back when. The reason I don´t play it very much is that I rarely play Tier 8 cruisers anymore, since most of the time you get tier 10 games. I saw it a lot when Brawls was a tier 8. I didn´t do too bad in that game mode.
Haven't seen one of these in randoms in ages. I remember that I dev struck an Atago in my first game with it when I finished the dockyard. He came around an island full broadside at like 4km. I think I've only played a couple of games in it. Nice video, big fan!
Shes great for ops, you can citadel cruisers even at 16km with her, and the smoke means the bots dont shoot back. Unfortunately, mainz is better, and since i got that tub, i dont use anchorage nearly as much.

Yep. Also miss the Cleveland at tier VI - insane! I only got a few months before they did the big re-arrange putting Cleve up to VIII, but at least kicking Pepsi-cola down to tier VI instead of higher, where it was an embarrassment. I like MK's content, but the zoom-scroll thing really limits how much I can take.
i used to traded it in during the recent event, played it a few times . i found it to be utterly useless guns decent but i would just get devstruck 10 seconds after the first time spotted ;)
I do not have this ship and tbh I wouldn't mind owning it. It's just a shame that getting these older dockyard ships is basically impossible now, I really wish WG would do an event for them.
the Anchorage is such a mid ship. it uses t7 New Orleans shells (HE and AP), no radar, no heal, and almost double the reload time of Baltimore as a penalty for having one extra turret
I see how the ship can be viewed as mid but i think that its a decent ship, its a tier8 buffalo, like 3-4 second longer reload and it provides you with a smoke spotter plane combo which allowed for more range in passive games and allowing minor spotting in smoke. Speaking of smoke it gets smoke, barely any American cruisers get smoke, let alone torpedoes. So yes but no.

Even to this day with Airship Escort AND Convoy Mode I'm struggling to find a place for the Anchorage. I want to like it but it is in that awkward 203mm space with 12 guns. The handful of times where I've really had fun is where the enemy has never seen an Anchorage, doesn't realize it has 27mm plating, and eats my torpedoes.
Hsienyang did nothing, looked like it was his first game, i cant even say he did not know the GK has hydro because you can press tab and see, so he was just stupid, there are so many people these days that just swing the game into a unwinnable battle by just not doing anything. Running into a GK's 6km hydro with like 14km concealment, in a destroyer with like 5.8km concealment! is just brain dead. Good job tho Malta, thank you for suffering to make vids on this game. :P
I got lucky during a Black Friday container three years ago and got it! Its fantastic!
One thing Anchorage does have above the other dockyard ships: she has the most awesome war paint
I play the ship once in a while. I like the ship for the most part. Reload could use a small buff.

Got mine in a santa crate last Xmas.
I have it and its ok. But it is a worse Atago. The Atago heal beats the Anchorage. I think it should have Radar or Heal and it would be a nice ship
