I am loving the HR, so much fun to use and it is satisfying to get those headshots in. Also I love the sound of the gun, it just feels so powerful. I like to run a scout/support role with it so I put on: Hawk-eyed 2 Sharpshooter 3 First-aid 1 Reviver 1 I still have trouble with the gun in certain situations but slowly getting better. With the drag shot you can get some surprising kills sometimes which is a good time. I've even been called a cheater a few times running the HR which is funny bc I'm not THAT good lol PS: I have a clip of me getting a headshot through the van window so that part is definitely true
Actually, the best sensitivity for the HR is 7 or more, beca6you need to move just a little the scope, don't waste time aiming, you need to make a pre-aiming, the high sensitivity is for chase the enemy in close range.
@@romanresendiz9683 i disagree that you absolutely have to have a higher sens to be great with it but I get the argument. Just that that is gonna be too fast for some people and they wont do well. All about preference imo.
What are the best practice practices to practice how to figure out where the opponent's head will be in a controlled environment in a private match with a practice partner? I want to learn sniping with both a hardscape and drag scope. I notice when I practice with most people, they do a one vs. one to teach me without teaching me the fundamentals of TLOU sniping. I've been practicing since the PS3 days this way, and I'm still terrible with the hunting rifle. I usually hit people in the shoulder or bellow the neck. Shooting people in the head who do the wiggle with an HR is hard work. Haha!
You can definitely try that in a private match. Perhaps use hawkeye to keep your eye on where they will pop out from. Doorways you can notice the height that you need to be at to get the head. And also try just pulling the trigger even when you aren’t sure. That trial and error really helps you get the timing right
This gun is such a huge part of this game I sometimes forget I had to spend money it just to use it. It's not even in any of the pre-made loadouts. I hope factions 2 doesn't do the same thing

The truth is you just need to go for it and accept that you will have some bad matches until you get the hang of it. Anyone who mastered the hr had to suck for a while
Slightly OT, but I was just watching the Grounded making-of TLOU documentary again for the first time in like 7 years, and I hadn't noticed before, that they show part of what appears to be a beta version of Checkpoint. Looks pretty different. Search for "Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us" and skip to 2:20. It's on two different monitors, being worked on. You can also see a different 9mm icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Thought that was kind of interesting. Have you seen it before?
That’s cool, never seen that doc before! I wish they made one all about factions. You should see if you haven’t already there are interviews with ND from IGN going into each Map of Factions and they talk about how lots of the maps used to be so much bigger
After watching this I've tried sniping for three days. I'm okay but now its getting frustrating. I'm just running into shorty spammers, I'm failing the dragshot, and the maps are always trash. I feel like giving up ;-;
No! You may just have to tweak a few things. If you running into a lot of shorties you may want to try to stay back a little more. Also you may want to tweak your sensitivity if you feel it is dragging too slow go up. Too fast go down
@@DrPooplove I tried your advice. I upped my sens from 5 to 6 and it works like a charm. But even when I stay back I still run into trash shorty dancers. This one dude was literally using shorty and bomb expert and I was livid, so much so that I had to take a 1 hour break

Upgrade at least once yes. Twice if you can, but if you are dying a lot or losing I would get armor first then save up for the second upgrade

This depends on your preference but I use 5 for Hunting Rifle and 4 for everything else
