A few reasons...the 146 provides better traction and hookup compared to a 137 and it also does very well with bump absorption. A longer track bridges bumps nicely and now skidoo gives you a choice for those who want to run a 146 but mostly use it more on-trail. It's nice to have options. Cheers, Mike
Why don’t you ask SKIDOO what we all want to know and have been mentioning in comments. Will guys be able to buy the stock turbo system and add it to the 2024 backcountry and have the dealer program it to work
You will not. That would never work. It's not just the turbo. It's also requires the shot start system (which you could have on your backcountry) and the meth tank! It will not be available for purchase for other sleds. It will only be available from factory. Also.. there isn't a single comment that has asked that question. If there was I would answer it but I figured it was self explanatory.. It will never be an add on.
@@sledaddicz wasn’t literal about comments on this video. Just go online or RUclips on different peoples videos or different forums and people have been asking this. First turbo can be added to anything if you have the money with the aftermarket. shot can be added just like if someone wants electric start that can be done. if people want the factory turbo they’re obviously going to buy the meth tank and anything else needed. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work being gen-5 and the same engine if the dealer will reprogram it. If they had better color than that mucus looking yellow then I might consider trading or selling my neo mint. Idk who comes up with these colors. Should be able to get whatever you want like you can with Polaris if you spring order
@@msanc315 I hear ya. Sure.. theoretically you could order all the pieces necessary and maybe turn your NA 850 into an 850 Turbo. What I'm saying is that it wouldn't make financial sense as BRP will never sell it as a clean kit to add on to other sleds. Also.. you can get the BCXRS in black and then wrap it whatever colour you want. You aren't forced to get the flare yellow. Cheers, Jesse
Luke you’re wrong and obviously not much of a backcountry rider if you think a wider front end works better in the powder. Stop spreading misinformation.
I would suggest re-watching the video. Never did Luke ever say that the wider front end works better in the powder. He said it works better on the trail which is undeniably true. Ski-Doo still makes the narrow 39 inch from end for the more hardcore backcountry riders. This is just a better 50/50 sled for it's on trail performance. Cheers, Jesse
@@msanc315 yes I have watched his video. I still agree with him. He is not saying it works better in powder.. He is saying it is now a true 50/50 and I agree. The current 39inch backcountries are nervous on trail and handling unbelievably off trail. The new 43 inch front end makes it a much more 50/50 sled versus a 70/30 (off trail on trail) sled. Cheers, Jesse
Thanks Luke! I enjoyed it as well. Haha glad to hear it!! Been watching you guys for forever so it was a true honour to get to collaborate together. Cheers, Mike
I don’t really understand why anyone would want a 43 inch front end on a backcountry. It defeats the purpose of a BC why not just get an MXZ 137?

🙌
Have fun at SnowShoot!! Jealous lol
Hey Mike or Jesse. Keep up the great work. Quick question. On this BCXRS when you sit on it. Does is feel like you are sitting higher than a MXZ XRS?
Hey Harold. Yup it does! We speak about that in all our backcountry videos. You sit much higher and we love it! Cheers, Jesse
To bad they didn't put that new ski and suspension on the Renegade. I and many would have bought a new one.
I imagine this might be coming for next season - we will see! Mike
This is exactly how i want my sled !!! Skidoo will always be my number 1
Nice! Did you order one?
@sledaddicz , unfortunately I did not, if I can't find one, I'll order one next spring !
