Choosing to buy an RM watch, when you can afford to buy pretty much any watch on the planet, tells me that they you are not a 'watch person'. Your the kind of person that prefers their clothing labels to be on the outside rather than on the inside of your garment. I would also expect to see a Lamborghini in your garage before I would see a Ferrari.
I understand your point but a ‘watch person’ can be defined as anyone who is interested in and an admirer of watches. Richard Mille definitely has its own place on the watch world and yes most probably only buy it because of the price/status.

It is almost close to impossible to put a tourbillon behind the skelleton.. is one of the reasons R M is a genius watch makers.. Now the "Lego" look... Well if he would have put them behind cases like the ones we allready knew, he would not be different then the others, and actually the RM watches are different by looking at them at least... Little overrated,yes... But, hopefully for people who invest in them they'll remain in top and grow in value... Well see

It is really easy as to why they are this expensive. There are enough people with more money than is decent willing to pay for them, it is that simple. If those people were not there then this brand either would not exist or it would charge appropriately for their watches many of which are simply posh plastic. None of those watches are 'simply posh plastic'. Not one. I agree it's an obscene price, but the strategy is sound. There's a lot of people with obscene money and this can turn into a good investment. Rolexes have always been a solid investment, they always go up in value over time and if well maintained, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same with that brand, although on a higher scale.

That tourbillon pronunciation is a bit hard to take. Obj isn’t an RM partner. The Bubba Watson with a G sensor is the 38-01.
