Christine should collaborate with a meal box company and make a christine recipe meal kit
Oh yeah, only for people with an air-fryer, instant pot and crockpot haha.
Gina Homolka from skinnytaste did this with Home Chef!
I’d totally subscribe to that 😁
A FFM box would get me to order. 💯
@@Roos_01 most recipes that can be done in an instant pot can also be done in a slow cooker and visa versa and you can get a slow cooker for around $20?
It's so weird... I love watching instant pot recipes..... and I dont have an instant pot..... yet 🤪
Also weird...i purchase kitchen appliances according to the colour of the lights! Lol...hate red lights so, for instance, i got the dial version of the instant pot because the lights werent red!
I have the instant pot duo nova and I highly recommend that one if you’re looking for a good one to get.
@@kanderson8981 I can understand that... lol... when I got another car, I found the "perfect" one. But it was green. I got a different one 🤣
@@carolleatkinson4307 oh thanks for recommendation. I find it hard to decide sometimes. Lol. I've added an Instant Pot to my Christmas Wist List, and I'll keep the duo in mind 😁
I have an instant pot...still in the box 🙃
Instant pot recipe: 1.5-2 pounds diced chicken, 32 Oz of your favorite salsa, 6-8oz of corn, 16 Oz of black beans. Cook chicken through then add rice, I usually cook mine just underdone so it will soak up the liquid. I use the keep warm setting for 15-20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Then serve with tortilla chips and sour cream.
Great one ☝🏻 going to try
If that dry black beans? Or canned or pre-soaked?
@@marywatkins6798 I used canned but you can use soaked beans as well
@@maryarcuri7773 Thanks. Sounds delicious.
I love watching you because if I am having a rough day your sense of humor always turns my day around. Thank you.
Who watches even though no instant pot????? I doooo 😂 thanks Christine
I usually aim for the ceiling or the nearest perfectly white towel. 😂
I laughed so hard w that intro joke. I ran in told my husband and he looked at me like I'm crazy laughed and told me to go away lmao. Best joke ever I needed that thank you
Double checking the pressure cooker seal -- excellent tip!! When I was 13ish, my mom used an old fashioned pressure cooker to make chicken & noodles. One day it all ended up on the ceiling! I'm now scared to attempt using an 'instant pot' because of that memory. And now I realize she probably didn't do a seal check.
I think we all had that memory from years ago until we were brave enough to get an instant pot. And a lot of us bought them and then let them sit because we were still afraid to use them. Big mistake. I love, love, love mine!
OMG, I was breaking my brain trying to figure out what is for dinner with Chicken breast. YOU ARE A MIRACLE WORKER!!!
I own the 3qt. IP and the 6 qt IP - Use them both ALL the time - It's just my hubby and me, but they are so easy to use, and I don't know why it took me so long to get one or two - A couple of fav's of mine are Homemade Mac & Cheese - 1 lb of Elbow Macaroni, 4 cups of chicken broth, put on lid cook 4 min. do a quick release, stir noodles then click the saute button, add 1/2 cup of milk, 2 TBS Butter - mix together now add 2 cups of shredded cheese (any kind) mix all together - ENJOY! My other favorite is Mini Cheese Cakes! YUM-O - 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs, 6 TBS Melted Butter, 3 TBS sugar, 1 tsp Cinnamon (Mix together, put in the mini cups for the crust - Now in a bowl add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 block room temp. cream cheese, 2 room temp eggs, 1 tsp vanilla & 1 TBS Lemon Juice - Mix together, pour into the mini cups (I use Ramekins) shake or smack down the cups to remove bubbles, cover them with foil - add 1 cup of water to your instant pot, use a trivet and sit your ramekins on top of the trivet - high pressure, cook for 3 min. , do a natural release for 15 mins. and boom it's done - :) FYI 6" Rd Ramekins cook for about 5min. and 4" ramekins cook for about 3 mins.
Stuffed Pepper Casserole
Sauté together:
1 lb of ground beef, 1 diced onion, 3 diced peppers (any color), and garlic (as much or as little as you like) - S&P too!
Once beef browned, add 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 can tomato sauce, 1 T Worcestershire, 1 T soy sauce, 1 T ketchup, 1 c basmati rice, 2 c beef broth. Pressure cook for 8 minutes and natural release for 10 minutes. Stir in 2 c of shredded cheddar. Done! It is very forgiving. You almost can’t mess it up, unless you undercook the rice.
New favorite instant pot is corned beef because I picked up a ton on clearance after St. Patrick's day.
Morning, all my chicken comes from my own farm. The difference in taste is amazing. We will never eat store bought ever again.
”Manuel???” Every time someone says manual, I think about the Captain on Wall-E
Good morning everyone! I hope you have a great Monday!!
Good morning!
I went into a Walmart last fall and they had been cleaning out their stock areas or something. The entire center asile was filled with products that had damaged packaging. I got an 8qt Instant Pot for $20. A corner of the box was crushed, but the pot is fine. No, I haven't used it yet. I kicked myself for not buying several and using them for gifts.
Thanks for ur suggestions!
Posted while I am staring at all the chicken in my freezer and trying to figure out how I’m making it. Perfect timing!
Okay, I have a recipe for you to try. I made it up one day. I had used bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs but I recommend boneless, skinless instead.
Butternut Chicken
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 cans chicken broth (could probably also just use one), app. 4 cups
1 can cream of chicken soup
24 oz. Frozen, diced butternut squash
1 can corn, drained & rinsed (corn optional)
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground turmeric
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. onion powder
Black pepper and salt to taste
Corn starch slurry at end.
Cook in Instant Pot on Low pressure for 35-40 minutes (my chicken was frozen). Use the sauté feature to mix in the cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce. Serve over rice, potatoes or cooked whole grains.
I'd really like to know what you'll all think!
Yay right as I'm getting off work makes me sooo happy
"Farfalle" is Italian for butterflies, which I think is far more charming than bowties. 😋 I enjoy your videos so much, even though I'm only cooking for myself these days. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for posting so often love your videos!
Thanks for watching!
Serious question - why wouldn't you just start the wings in the air fryer? Why use two appliances?
I know with my airfryer the company says not to use raw meat.
I do raw chicken and raw pork tenderloin in my air fryer. Turns out great. I check with meat thermometer.
I use my air fryer for raw meat all the time the recipe book that came with it has many raw meat recipes
I've only ever made chicken wings in my air fryer. Along with roast, fish, chicken thigh, French fries etc.
BONE BROTH in the Instant pot! The easiest way to make such a nutrient dense product! I do on low pressure for 120 minutes with a natural release! So gelatinous!
Your dinner ideas are always so easy!!
Good morning! This was great! Always looking for new instant pot recipes for a large family. Definitely comes in handy. Thank you!
Thanks! I’m going to get mine out of the box in the garage and make some of your recipes!! I appreciate you!
Thank you!!
Just a shout-out for the Foodi Ninja. Pressure cooks AND broils so you can get your crispy skin in the same place. (And, yes, the IP now has a broiling lid you can buy separately but I hear it doesn't work all that well.)
I LOVE my Foodi!
I also have one! Should've read through the comments before I made one about how the wings can be a one pot meal.
I use my foodi all the time too
I like how you explain the differences with the instant pots. Thanks for doing that.
I love making Apple sauce in my instant pot weekly!
10-12 gala apples
1/4 cup of water
1 tbsp cinnamon
1tbsp lemon juice
Peel and core apples and put them in the instant pot. I leave them in large chunks. Add water, cinnamon and lemon juice and give it a light stir. Pressure cook for 8 minutes on high pressure , natural release for 10 minutes on keep warm, then mash with a potato masher to your desired consistency. Makes about 10 - half cup servings....perfect for lunches!
"The quick release, you know, the screaming part" 🤣
I love how you estimate quantities! Watching you cook has made cooking so much easier for me because now I have confidence to just approximate a lot of things and it all goes so much quicker. And it all turns out good!
Yes!
Monday morning cooking with christine! Yes please!
We absolutely love Thrive Market!
Can't wait to try these out!
I’m a single person and did the same as your mom - got a 3 quart IP, which I immediately found was too small. I then picked up a 6 quart IP Duo Evo Plus which I love - it automatically seals (which I would constantly forget to do), has handles on the inner pot that keep it from spinning when you are cooking on sauté, and there’s a nice status bar display showing where you are in the cooking process. There is one thing that the 3 quart is perfect for and that’s making coldstart yogurt. It’s just the right size and it’s nice to have the smaller bowl when you are refrigerating overnight. If you haven’t made it, give it a try - it’s the best yogurt ever.
You had me at instant pot 😍
I've been making Mississippi roast in it and that's about it lately so this was very much needed.
Thank you for some great ideas! 🤩
I got a air fryer for Mother’s Day you always make me want new kitchen appliances
I have the 10 quart power quick pot pro and I love it!
Frugal instant pot recipes... yes please.
I really love the pepper, too. Your mom rocks!! I got an instant pot at Christmas time and have never used it. You are giving me the inspiration I need. Thank you so much. I was afraid of it before watching you. lol
Love my IP! Thanks for more delicious ideas! ♥️
I just received an Instant Pot! I’m so excited to try some
of these out.
The scream when you quick released killed me lol
Yea, More dinner ideas!!!
We got the 8 quart instant pot with the air fryer lid and it's great!!
I found chicken wings in the Clearance bin at the grocery store today, so I put the recipe to the test. They are so freaking easy to make, and my son has declared them a hit.
I love my pressure king pro. Thank you for more receipes to try xx
Christine, you help me stay calm. Been dealing with a lot of anxiety and these videos keep me calmed down.....Maybe do a video and calming techniques.
Thanks for the video!! These look delicious! I think you and your family would love arroz con pollo in the instant pot! Chorizo, chicken, rice, what’s not to love!
Im literally obsessed with my instant pot and air fryer! Christine! Those wings look 🤤🤤!! Never thought to make them like that with the sauce 😮😮😮
Excellent recipes! I love my Instant Pot as well. Thanks for sharing. You always make me smile....you’re so much fun! 😊
Awesome video, thanks so much 👍👍👍👍👍
I bought an Instant Pot a few months ago after watching your videos, I now use it more than any other kitchen appliance and have convinced a bunch of my friends they also need Instant Pots as well. It's what I use to cook the food in most of my cooking videos, I love my Instant Pot.
I've been using any left over stock to boil my rice or pasta that I make! Adds sooo much flavor!!
I’m so excited to try the wings recipe
freezing the meat drippings/stock in small portions eg ice cube tray you get tasty little flavour bursts to fry onions in etc to add a burst of flavour to any dish. love it. i keep all the juices.
What great recipes! Time to get an instant pot!
My fav recipe is butter chicken! I can't wait to try these!
I love fast and easy.
Yay!! New video here for it!
Great video! More instant pot meals please!
Change of plans! Chicken fajita pasta for dinner tonight. This allowed me to get a quick HIIT workout in while my toddler was napping. Much less maintenance than what I was planning on cooking. Thank you!
Love these.
I have been an instant pot lover for 5 years. I started with a 5qt, got a 6qt, most days I use both. My next wish list is an air fryer, but I don't know what size would be good for my use. I appreciate this video because I have found chicken has the biggest learning curve for me when using the pressure cooker.
I love all my instant pots too.
I also was skeptical of the IP but best thing I ever bought! I use the IP and air fryer the most. If I didn’t have both already, I’d get the combo. Great video!
Currently trying to figure out what to do with my chicken tonight. This helps a ton!
My favorite instant pot Mac n cheese for the kiddos. Great with broccoli and hot dogs always! Thanks for sharing great recipes and content!
I have the Cosori and love it! Mine came with the glass lid so I can use it is a slow cooker easily without having to buy the extra lid.
Christine you got mad jokes early this morning happy Monday my friend😂😂💛💛
I don’t have an instant pot but I still thoroughly enjoyed watching this video! Thank you Christine! 🥰🤗
My hands down fave recipe in the instant pot is the Six Sisters Beef Stroganoff. Delish!
I need to get on the Insta pot bandwagon. That fajita meal looked awesome. And so did the chicken wings
One time I had a sealing issue on my instant pot because one little grain of rice was keeping it from sealing completely. I now quickly blow around where the top slides on. I’m going to try the chicken wings next week. Those look good!
Love mine too!
Loved your ideas today! You are very fun to watch Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Yay! New video. Love 💕
I DID NOT KNOW that lid did that! Game changer!
Hi Christine! Love your channel
I LOVE Instant Pot!
Another video yay!
I am definitely a fan of my oven broiler! 😋
Instant Pot Pork Roast: 3 pound roast, seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, salt & pepper. Then in EVOO sear all sides on the saute mode. Remove from pot.
Next add any roasting vegetables (pronunciation- vege-tab-les 😁) about 1in cubes or length. Saute until lightly browned. Red wine deglazing optional, about 1/4-1/2 cup (depending on preference). Then add 1 cup chicken stock and pork roast back in on top of vegetables. Use stew/soup button for appropriate doneness- I remembered it all- but how long.. go with 20 minutes, natural release 5-10. Enjoy the yumminess! 🍲
That looks so delicious! Gonna try several of them! Tip from me to you...I put a clean dish towel over my Instant Pot when I do a release and it doesn’t leave the dribbles on the counter.
I have a Crockpot brand and it works great.
Super excited for this one😀
Great video Christine🌺
Definitely going to try the wings & the fajita pasta!!!
I love dried thyme. It also is great if you have a cough, it's a natural cough suppressant so I'll put it in a cup of tea with some honey if I can't sleep because I'm up coughing all night.
I need to try the instant pot!
Love my IP, mine is 5 years old. I use it almost everyday. Love the recipes.
ok. great video on instant pot. I have one. I am only one. I basically never use it. Just because I don't need that much food anymore. But if I still had a family at home, you bet, it would be my go to. Thanks Christina
Yay video
I am thinking of an instant pot mini for myself. I live alone and need healthy foods...I am not a good cook at all so toss it in and go is for me! Your instructions are great and have pushed me to the purchase point. Thank you!
This video came at the perfect time. I just bought an instant pot that is an Elite brand. A 6 quart for $10 at a yard sale this past weekend.
Love your channel!
Love it! Please continue to share more instapot recipes
