Hi, the color of your rabbits is very beautiful. Your channel hasn't reached 1000 subscribers yet, but I hope it won't take too long with this great content. I also have Netherland Dwarf Rabbits, I shared them on my channel. Rabbits are wonderful and very sweet animals. Have a nice day.🐇
Thanks! We process them at 12 weeks old. 4 mom rabbits each have 3 litters per year for a total of around 60-70 harvested each year. We eat one rabbit each week and share a few with friends.
The breeders are easy to keep clean...We have them in elevated cages so the waste material falls through to the ground. The litters in the grow out tractors are a little messier...I move the tractors to fresh grass twice a day to get them off the waste material. I also occasionally have to comb a little poop 💩 out of their fur. Best of luck with your rabbitry! ✌️
I have ours in elevated cages, but they go to the side and pee on each other. I can't put any on "pasture" we have to many stray cats and raccoons. they actual tumbled over a couple our ground cages, no harm to the rabbits but still. I guess what I'm asking is can they be bathed to wash off the pee or will it not come off. I'm in Florida. @@CornfedLady1
Yes, you're correct. You can tell the sex starting around 6 weeks old, although it's harder to be sure when they're that young. We waited until 3 months old, because that's when we chose our breeders...right before harvesting the rest. (So we just didn't need to know any sooner.) ✌️

Good morning Cornfed Lady. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
Thanks, you too! ✌️
Very nice setup! I wondered about when you process them and how many litters per year you do.

We've never given ours a water bath, but they do enjoy a good dust bath. 🤷♀️
Timestamp approx 4:48….you shouldn’t have to wait 3-4 months to tell if they’re bucks or does
