I’ve just stumbled on your channel while doing some research for a personal art project- and I can’t stop watching you videos. You really bring the old teachings into the modern way of thinking, and it is turning my life around.
I just want to express gratitude for your hard work. I fell away from the Church and have been struggling with conflicting beliefs. And every time I go back to mass all I can see/hear is some man on a high horse telling me I’m wrong about everything but I never understand WHY.
You guys present His truth in such charismatic and relatable ways- I’m finally understanding now. You have seriously shaken me awake, I realize what a sinful life I’m leading.
I still have questions and I still feel betrayed and hurt by certain experiences I’ve had with clergy- but your videos help me to remember why I have such strong faith in the first place.
You’re motivating me to go back to Church and receive the sacrament of reconciliation- you’re really helping me, just by being honest and kind with your method of teaching. I truly am grateful. And I will remember anyone involved in the production of this channel in my prayers tonight.
I’m so happy I’ve been led here. Thank you. ❤️

Hi, I'm considering joining a catholic church that did a lot for me. However, I'm concerned about some of the beliefs regarding Mary. For example, why does the catholic church say that Mary ascended to heaven? I remember reading a verse (in Mark I believe) where Jesus says that only he who descended from heavan has ascended to heavan. Furthermore, why does the church say that Mary died a virgin? Isn't it said in the scripture that Jesus had siblings? Surely those siblings were not born of the holy spirit as well? Lastly, why is Mary referred to as Mother of God? While I understand that technically, the baby she would have been carrying in her womb would have been god, why is it appropriate to refer to her that way when Jesus specifies that he who believes the word of God is his mother and brothers? It seems that Jesus is denying Mary's spiritual significance in that sense, implying that, spiritually, she is no different than any other believer in god.
I would appreciate a word on these issues because I'm currently struggling with deciding whether or not to join this Catholic church that had a significant spiritual impact on me. I can't deny that the prayers of the people in that church did for me, but I have the above problems as well as skepticism about things like the rosary (doesn't Jesus say to not say long and repetitive prayers as the pharisees do?)
Thank you guys for your videos! They have been very informative thus far

The Church does not say she ascended, as per the video it says that she was assumed (The Assumption). Both are the work of God, the distinction being that Jesus is God and Mary is not and therefore unlike Jesus, she did not make her way into heaven by her own power, but by the power of God.
Jesus did not have siblings. The language of the time did not have a distinction between brothers and relatives/kinsmen. E.G. Abraham and Lot described as brothers even though in our language they are uncle and nephew.
Jesus is not diminishing his relationship with Mary in that verse, but rather is revealing to his disciples the dignity of one's relationship to God that goes beyond mere biological relationship and joins them to the spiritual family of God. Mary's significance is highlighted multiple times throughout scripture. In the Gospel of Luke the Angel of the Lord proclaims to Mary, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee!" and Elizabeth exclaiming, "blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb." You also have Jesus obeying Mary at the Wedding of Cana and Jesus, Mary, and John at the crucifixion. John stands in for all disciples before Jesus and Jesus says to Mary, "behold your son," and to John, "behold your mother."
To diminish the relationship between Mary and Jesus and just Mary being the biological mother of Jesus runs the danger of separating Jesus' humanity from his divinity when they are united as one. Mary is simply the mother of God not a surrogate where Jesus only carries Mary's DNA. She gave birth to Him into our world, cared for him, raised him, and taught him the tradition of faith. Jesus carries all of these things with him not only in is humanity but in his divinity as well, because again, they are both united together in the person of Christ.
This issue in particular was discussed in the Church at the Ecumenical Council of Ephesus (431 AD)
Jesus' issue with repetitive prayer was not its repetitiveness but the idolatry, the vainness, and the superstitious attitude towards prayer that the pagans had that he did not want for his disciples. Pagans thought that repeating prayers over and over again gained them further favor from their gods. Jesus wanted his disciples to focus on the one true God and also to put their heart into their prayer to draw closer to Him rather than thinking empty words (repetitive or not) will give them favor.
      I hope that helps.

The Muslims interpreted Mary’s role for humanity correctly: the modest, the motherly and the pious.

Most Muslims do not destroy another faith's art. True Islam calls its followers to live peacefully with other faiths. It is only the extremists and fanatics that use religion to justify their hate. Granted, those extremists are a loud voice, but the majority of Muslims want to just live in peace.
