Regarding the comment you made about Creature Features movies a year ago. These old movies take me back to my childhood too. It's also nice to see the old actors and actresses when they were young and beautiful. It's like visiting an old friend again.
This made for tv movie was exceptionally well done. I remember watching this back in '72 when it was on TV. My mother let me stay up late with her to watch it. We were shocked who the killer was. This movie is still great today.
How does this movie exist?! Sally Field and Julie Harris and Jessica Walter and Eleanor Parker all together in a 70s holiday mystery/horror movie of the week. Sounds like a fun Time Creature Features Fans!
What a fun old Christmas slasher! And what a cast! Sally Field! Julie Harris! Jessica Walter does lots of freaking out. Jill Haworth is snippy. Walter Brennan is mean. And beautiful, beautiful Eleanor Parker....she is, well, you'll see. Wonderful score, as well. And the bonus of talented guest mask-maker Bart Frescura. Great fun. I love you "Creature Features"!
When the world was a better place. Things are so crazy now to see an era period movie is to escape back into that time. Even w/the turmoil of the Vietnam War & anti-war protest , still better than the America we have now.
Sally Field is one of my favorite actresses. She is so naturally beautiful and talented. I'd watch anything with her in it. There were a lot of good made for TV horror movies in the 70's. This one had a great cast of actresses in it. Thank you for showing it.🙀🙃😱👀
It allows me to improve my English...thank you sooo much to creature features ...good spooky movies and this nice and funny team with Vincent , misterrrrr Livingston and miss Tangella ... ❤ greetings from Paris .France .
This movie reminds me of Satan's School For Girls, and Crowhaven Farm , kind of similar to a Horror version of Charlie's Angels ,with a Falcon Crest atmosphere. Considering that Falcon Crest was a decade away this film was ahead of its time
I always love seeing this intro With all these different movies. I always enjoy seeing all the Interesting costumes tangella Wears with her great sense of Humor.
Another Christmas on the dark side is home before dark with Jean Simmons. Not a horror, but a good tense bulk and white film where you don't quite know who's who until the end!!
I remember this movie when it originally appeared on TV, I was seven ie I know gave away my age there, oh well. It scared me so much, your channel is so much fun!!!! I loved the masks and the mask makers demeanor cracked me up so he was so calm but his masks are so scary. Very talented!!!
The reason Swengoolie is so popular is because he has had a show for over30 years! Sound effects some slapstick With music and games! I think that’s why he has endured for so long..Corny jokes and gags! I adore him ❤This is the first time I have ever watched your show and I really enjoyed the movie and will be watching!! From Augusta Georgia
Other than The Nightmare Before Christmas, I’ve never understood mixing horror and Christmas but I guess I’ll give it a try 🤷🏻♀️. Happy Holidays to all 🎄
Merry Christmas to Vincent, Tangella, and Livingston and a very pleasant Holiday period. I'm not a fan of slasher flix and this one is The Flying Nun meets Urban Legends. Keep the creatures and the features coming.
You guys can really make this show something. With a crackling fire burning in the background, more research into the featured movie as well as more research into the guests and their work, and boom! I think you can garner a lot of inspiration from someone like Christine McConnel's shows, both on Netflix and RUclips. This show just needs a little bit of 'pumpkin'-spice and you'd be GREAT. However, I did enjoy this show a lot!*
I'll watch any thing with Sally in it,i find her so beautiful 😍 she reminds me of the girl i went out with in high-school and stupid me i let her get away 😪
Like #1, for once. I think this should be more of a mystery than something supernatural. It is going to be another fun night with the wonderful fans in the chat room. See you then!!
To alleviate the Christmas blues from the lobby I play pop tunes of 1967. Mr. Frescura is very talented. I'll be sure to check out his website. Thanks.
Our host mentions how the prohibitive cost of snow-making machines prevented their use, but the money was well spent on the rain and thunder and lightning effects; great atmosphere
I can’t tell you if I liked or disliked the movie. The silly interruptions by you were so irritating I just couldn’t watch past 15:10. Was really looking forward to Walter Brennan!
Talking about the round house in Novato, California Novato also had a wonderful Renaissance fair loads of fun lots of cold beer incredible. Good time highly recommend hitting that Renaissance fair.
A 1972 made for t.v. Christmas mystery/thriller I like to call 'Home for the Horror Days'. Well acted festive treat, so wear a pair of reindeer antler headbands this saturday night and get ready for some......Ho Ho Horror!🦌🎄
I have a question. What did the story have to do with Christmas? The only hint is the tree. The plot was OK - eliminate the suspects one by one - but other than that it seems they threw in "Christmas" and a fake title just to get people to watch, thinking the holiday must somehow be involved. If not for the tree and table decorations one would never even know what time of year it was.
@@Cissy2cute along with the beautiful Christmas tree🎄and table decorations there was a turkey🦃 and some Christmas music🎵. They had a traditional Christmas eve dinner and there was also a big christmas wreath decoration on the front door! I love Christmas movies! Merry Christmas Cissy 🙏🎄🦌☃️🦃❄🍰🍬🥂🎅
Antler headbands are worn to honor Cernunnos the Horned God, he will lead the Wild Hunt, and aid us in the battles against the Famorians . LONG LIVE THE Tuatha de Dannan , where the Fir Bolga await just beyond the white cliffs of Albion just beyond Tyr an Og where Mollyn Droat powers of glam disin still rule the lost horizon
@@seacampeon8729 Hmm...I'm not saying there weren't indications of Christmas, but rather their actions and "Christmas spirit" seemed to be lacking. I think these decorations were a means to bring them together. When it was mentioned that Dad was dying I considered that the reason why they came together.
1969 to 1974 was the Golden Age of the made-for-television Gothic atmospheric fright and scare films on behalf of ABC then CBS and NBC as the immediate popularity of these films became obvious. These television fright films were a new genre niche in Hollywood. These films were characterized by quality presentations made within one month at low budgets. There were no expensive props nor special effects and costumes. These films frequently employed well-known theater and television actors, many long past their prime years yet still well known. Filming production was simplicity itself. A proper location was selected. A film crew showed up and set up location shooting. The actors showed up and wore normal contemporary clothing. They could have worn their own clothing as no special costumes were required. For the time period the costs of producing one of these TV movies was truly inexpensive. Given 1972 costs, a TV film could cost as low as $80,000 filmed in just three weeks. The low budget high quality television movie seems to be a lost art in Hollywood.
Ha, Two Sally Bowles in one movie. Julie Harris played her in the movie I am a Camera and Jill Haworth was the orignal Sally Bowles in the Broadway musical. If only Liza Minelli was also be in this film, then we would have three.
When he said his website was Frescura Obscura it made me think of the old Night Gallery episode "Camera Obscura"! Great scary episode about a cold hearted money lender who got his comupence by way of the Camera Obscura from He...you know where!!!
😅I knew IT! As soon as... everyone leaves me to take care of everything... Self control is the hardest thing, when you can't control what you'll do or feel; it's hard to just walk away.
I may be wrong, I think Trapper John Md's wife is in this film. I totally forgot the actress's actual name, I'll definitely have to look it up for sure!
I love these made-for-television 1970's movies! They take me back. They're the nostalgic wallpaper/ background of my childhood memories.
🫡👍❣️🇬🇧
Just think this was before cable vision, and a new movie each week, plus it was free.
Don't forget about the made for TV miniseries
The best part about 70s movies for me? The actors are not on cell phones in the movie. Simpler times.
Absolutely! I was just saying that to my son the other day while watching a retro movie. Yes, simpler times, I agree! @@vickyabramowitz2885

I remember watching this when it first aired. Good suspenseful TV movie. Can't wait to see it again.
Love this movie. I am watching it for the second time in two weeks. So nostalgic and Christmassy. Reminds me of my childhood.
Those were some of the greatest masks I have ever seen. Frescura's talent is amazing.
And cute. He does not need a mask🥸
Thanks for opening my gift tonight . My dinosaur will forever be remembered on your show. Gratefully Ted
It's definitely smaller than the one in Jurassic Park.
I'm only almost 2 years late, but I'm just watching this one now. Loved the dino that you sent them, Ted. We'll done. 🦖

Not this one. 😂
A lot of knife throwing around the turkey dinner!!
