I completely agree with this TED talk. Times are changing and now that video games are becoming such a huge part of our children's lives, we should tailor this into the classroom and "blowup the gradebook". There are studies that show that video games have a positive effect on our students academic success. A study done with the game SPORE on a upper level evolution class showed that the study group who played video games along with the course material were able to score atleast 5% higher on their exams and int he overall course. Although they have not found conclusive evidence for subjects such as Math and Science. I's sure with people like Dr. Chris we can find a way to bring video games into those subjects as well.
