He was the Voice I have always wanted to see him in concert his songs brought meaning to someone who knew about relationships and heartbreak. He was the Man I loved every song he put out every since I heard his songs I have loved his music it broke my heart when I heard of his death especially when I seen a video of him trying to sing after his stroke, I hope that he knew the Lord before he left this earth cause I sure would like to meet him one day in Heaven.
This was from the album You've Got Somebody. If anyone has this album can you please post more songs. Some were "You've Got Somebody, I've Got Somebody", "Til I'm Over Getting Over You", "I Took It Like A Man, Cried Like A Baby." Thanks for posting.
His voice remained unchanged more 11 years after he recorded with his brother Rex that didn't much attention but Vern was really coming on his own and in 79 he was starting to have hits that will carry over into the early nineties.
