I remember listening to this song in the car on my family vacation to California with my mom and my dad when I was little. Driving down the beaches and the city lights. Things were so simple. Years later my dad and I still listened to this song. We had a really conflicted relationship but we both loved each other. Times I didn’t know how he felt. But after he passed suddenly three weeks ago, coming back and listening to this breaks my heart. But it reminds me of how much he really did love me. And i love him forever.
I'm arguing with my father today. You remind me to be thankful. I love this song takes away the pain Oh nostalgia ❤️ your father is with you love you beautiful girl 🌊🌺💯💯💯🌍
I remember downloading this thinking it was “Steppin’ Out” by Joe Jackson. Listening to this happy mistake is what started my 20 year love for Kaskade.
I absolutely love this song... all these older Kaskade song lyrics have such meaning.. I'm a big fan and although through the years his music has changed a bit, he is still brilliant in his craft.
On my birthday in 2013 and by sheer fluke I got to meet Kaskade at the club he was playing in. I told him I had all of his vinyl releases and that led us to having a half hour chat before his set started. I can say he’s a down to earth guy and a non alcoholic OJ is how he likes to roll. 😂
holy shit, the first few notes of this are so nostalgic, feel like im 15 again! was so grateful to be able to see him perform at snow globe when I was 23! I only just now realized that a dream I had when I was 15 has actually come true! :D
Ok, why is everyone saying they prefer this instead of EDM? Do you know what EDM stands for? This song is just one of the many genres that fall under EDM,
Kaskade is one of the reasons I really got deep into house music. This song in particular and ‘be still’ got me through a really tough period growing up. I am forever grateful ❤️
I grew up with this because my mom loves me. I was born 2003 and we would always listen to Kaskade while going on long drives 💙I will forever hold that in my heart
I also have super old memories of this, had it on CD from a friend and took it on my first trip abroad, first time living with a gf in our own apartment, played it so many times
This particular sound only lasted a few years (early 2000s) which is a real shame in my opinion. I loved that chill Club Sound. At the start of 2014-upwards the mainstream EDM taste changed drastically to the "harder" "more exciting" side. 😅
I remember meeting you in Honolulu and you played a little cafe then after party in some high rise with like 20 ppl!! I was with my friend Fannie who was like come see this guy and I’ve been a fan ever since! ❤
I first heard this song around 2012 and it has become my favorite by kaskade. This song reminds me of the best times of my life and also the worst. I’ve listened to it in extremely happy moods and also in my darkest depression. It always cheers me up :)
Still my jam. I remember hearing my roommate say under her breath, “what does she like about that song”. I played it all the time from my computer. The beat is so good and so catchy. I was vibing to Kaskade from at least 2005 after discovering BT.
Spent so much time to find out what song this was in your San Diego Redux set, I'm so glad through much searching I have found it. Thank you for always making great music Kaskade !
I think what they mean is that old Kaskade music had live instrumentation mixed with synths. Vocals weren't screwed and augmented like his older stuff like 4AM, I remember, Steppin out
This song and the beginnings of youtube are pretty much related for me... I remember I saw this artist and song "kaskade-steppin out" on number one on a list that DMC used to compile, so I had just discovered youtube and said.. hey why not.. looked for it. and there it was... it was a video from a channel from the Philippines apparently it was one of the first places he went big and toured so the song got a video there (i think before the official one) with images from his events there. It was like one of the first music videos someone uploaded to the platform.. from 2005 it was here for the longest time but I think it has been finally deleted.. sad about it because it was actual digital history .
I suddenly found myself thinking about this song. Funny fact as I still remember the name of the song and the Kaskade. I heard this song at least ten years ago ...

That's adorable and heartbreaking, hope you've healed since then

I literally cried
😭bro I’m in a drive with my family listening to this I’m heart broken now
I'm arguing with my father today. You remind me to be thankful. I love this song takes away the pain

Playing this on a sunny day in June 2024!
Kaskades best song IMO. Underrated
Definitely one of my favorite songs from Kaskade.
There were some really deep and moving dance songs back in the early to mid 2000s. Kaskade's Steppin' Out is beautiful and endearing!!! ❤
holy shit, the first few notes of this are so nostalgic, feel like im 15 again! was so grateful to be able to see him perform at snow globe when I was 23! I only just now realized that a dream I had when I was 15 has actually come true! :D
Still in my top 10 favorite Kaskade songs :)
+Sebizzar It's going to be there for a while, nothing he's done recently is any good.
Zack C Yeah his new songs are decent but I miss his old sound :(
+Zack C listen to his new album Automatic :)
Ok, why is everyone saying they prefer this instead of EDM? Do you know what EDM stands for? This song is just one of the many genres that fall under EDM,
Sebizzar what's your favorite?
2019 and still going strong. I saw kaskade for the 13th time New Years Eve in SF and I finally saw him play this song. F E E L S
Why does this one specific song resonate with me on such a personal level?
One of the very first house tracks I liked. Brings back some good memories
Was our first dance at our wedding! Amazing song and amazing memories from it.
Kaskade is one of the reasons I really got deep into house music. This song in particular and ‘be still’ got me through a really tough period growing up. I am forever grateful ❤️

Why Netflix n chill when you can Kaskade and cuddle? :) ❤️
Fuck yes.
The first song I ever heard from Kaskade on a Ministry or Sound Annual Album i won. I was hooked. Thank you for the awesome music.
first 3 seconds immediately gave me goosebumps....
Why don't we have dance music this good anymore?
I wonder too, Xnx. I wonder too.
everything is overproduced and nothing is really raw anymore
People don't put raw emotion into anything anymore...
Not just dance music....
This particular sound only lasted a few years (early 2000s) which is a real shame in my opinion. I loved that chill Club Sound.
At the start of 2014-upwards the mainstream EDM taste changed drastically to the "harder" "more exciting" side. 😅
This song can mean so many things in life... this is timeless and is one of my favorite songs, ever.
I remember meeting you in Honolulu and you played a little cafe then after party in some high rise with like 20 ppl!! I was with my friend Fannie who was like come see this guy and I’ve been a fan ever since! ❤
Brings back memories of the days listening to this track. Nostalgic for sure!
One of my favorite songs ever....always will be.

Kaskade is the type of music you close your eyes and just vibe out to 😌😍🥰 memories of redux 2019
This song is compelling and fiercely haunting. It's necessary for something deep within, hidden and vulnerable
Love me some Kascade! This was the first song that made fall in love with his music! ♡

havent heard this since '05,overlooked it the for other tracks on chillout '04 at the time, this song is blade
First time I heard this was in 2009 at a rave called together as one. It was epic. And that’s an understatement.
I’m back ten years later. Still can’t get enough. New music just doesn’t have this timeless effect sadly. It’s all mass produced and sounds the same.
Uwielbiam ten utwór , przypomina mi o szczególnej dla mnie osobie ❤
Still a gem, after all these years.
My neighbors were not ready for this song today!
Kaskade was incredible back then! I wonder what happened, oh wait, EDM happened.
Amir Pourghaed
Kaskade is still incredible.
Robert Banister wake up and listen to his music dont stereotype if you dont know. you cant lump everyone in a group. open your ears and listen!!!
Amir Pourghaed This is still EDM...
