I mean he's joking around but he's right. The contrast of a color like lavender/pink with a dark demon like Kage actually does make him more visually interesting. Why would an evil demon wear that color? That alone gives the costume more intrigue and catches your attention more, and that's the point of fashion. To dress in an interesting way to catch your attention. Contrast/complimenting are a basic principle of aesthetics. Daigo's got a good eye.

After that I went back and watched his guest visits on Topanga and various special streams (like the one where he promoted his third book and had an interview about the Infiltration FT10 match) and while he didn't speak as much, he had always stories that made everyone on the scene burst into laughter.
I actually take choosing a costume and/or color very seriously; that's usually when you cement your emotional attachment to a character. Do not underestimate this individualizing, ritualistic component of the process, so I actually appreciate this video a lot.

I only play street fighter casually for fun,but man watching this is so entertaining and by watching Daigo I even learn something new very often(gameplay wise not about costume colors), its sad how casually watching a video becomes a learning experience for me lol

Excuse my ignorance guys but why is picking a color so important? I've seen a lot of videos of Daigo talking about this topic but never understood why is so important, even on other games like Smash, you see a lot of pink Captain Falcon's and Green Fox's so I don't think it's to differentiate yourself, if anyone could explain it to me I'd be very thankful
