This was pretty epic - it looked like a combination of the Sphinx Trail (climbing up the drainage), Great Gulf headwall, and Tripyramid slides. Amazing video!
Thanks so much, this was actually my first hike. I’ve ever hiked with Brendan and Bailey this summer. Since that day, we’ve been climbing slides constantly every weekend. We just did three slides today on giant. Lots of crazy amounts of good slide, climbing content, I’ll be posting for the next month or so. And lots of video I posted after this one as well. If you haven’t already check out the playlist got lots of content on there.
@@BrianHikesAllDay I dunno, the bar seems pretty low for naming since Esther was named after a dumb kid who climbed the wrong peak 150+ years ago. “Santanoni Twin Slide-Twardy Extension” should be approved by APA, DEC, BGS and install a plaque.
That slide looks new! I noticed some thick patches of grass growing which makes me wonder if it's from last year but the lower sections look super fresh, like from this year maybe.
I studied the weekly satellite pictures on my paid version of CalTopo and I was able to see that the bottom half of that slide happened sometime over the winter and the top portion of that slide happened in Mid April.
Awesome video man!! Thank you for the hard work you do. Stay safe
Thanks Matt!! Recording and putting these videos together definitely consumes a lot of my free time. So it’s nice that people appreciate them.

My buddy and I skied the new section this past January. Amazing how the approach at the split opened up so much. Awesome video!!!
The top half of the slide happen in April. I looked at the weekly CalTopo satellite imagery.
Subscribed, liked, commenting. Those other two are mountain goats.
Lol
Awesome footage brother, nice work!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed
Fantastic!👏 These mountains are truly your playground. New slide should be Twardy Slide.
Lol
It’s still the Santanoni twin slide. It’s just an extra tributary.
