This is great! I didn't feel well enough to go shopping let alone think about what to make this week. I have all ingredients for all these meals. Tomorrow morning, I will make the beans. Other meals, later this week. Thank you!!!
Ali, you are amazing. I can't believe you haven't come up on my feed or in my searches for Vegan before. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the simple "dump and go" easy recipes. And your formatting and recipes are easy to follow. I love your hubby waving and the kids' comments in the background too. How fun! Thank you. New subscriber and liker here. 🥰
Another awesome video from the beautiful Ali. 3 Yummy 😋 vegan crock pot meals (I would probably make them in my instant pot using the slow cooker program). Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Ali & family.
Just made the pasta dish; it's a winner! We added shredded artichoke hearts . The dish was so creamy and cozy. Love your recipes and videos. Thank you.
I love your recipes and videos! Very excited you've added more crockpot recipes. To keep your carrots fresher you need to store them in a little water!
You and THE HAI PATH both have inspired me to do a crock pot soup...I also have that choppper and used it this morning! Just got back from the market... fire roasted tomatoes, water, bouillon-like yours, mushrooms, carrots, onions, celery, yellow squash, white beans, corn, kale, and itty bitty macaroni! And a special blend by Trader Joe’s…ITALIAN STYLE SOFFRITTO SEASONING BLEND! Amazing! My soup is in, 8 hours...slow...dinner will be dislish. What I love most about your channel is that you keep it so real. Your taste testers are adorable! Happy Healthy New Year 🎆 to you and your beautiful family of five kiddos!
PS: You and The Hai Path have so much in common...she has 6 little kiddos and a husband with auto immune disease and I am pretty sure why her family went plant based as well.
I am not Vegan, but literally just found this video. I have always wanted to do a meatless meal at least 1x a week, but was at a loss of what to make. I just subscribed so I have no excuse now. ☺️
YESSS! One meatless meal a week is perfect! Even though I have a vegan recipe channel, I'm not perfectly vegan so I'm all about making changes where ever you can! Plant-based doesn't mean perfect!
Rinse and soak beans, dump water and boil 15 min. With lid cracked. The gas will come out and you can hear the rumbling. Drain hot beans and rinse with water. Add to crockpot and cook high 4 hrs.
For that first recipe, i recommend not draining your beans and using less broth. Canned bean juice has a lot of starch and will thicken whatever soup you are putting it in. I almost never drain my canned beans!
Hi, I use canned pinto beans with the liquid in the can and put in a pan. No need to add broth. I chop onion and fresh garlic. Let it simmer with lid on for about an hour or an hour and a half, making the beans tender and creamy tasting. Then take lid off, and let the liquid simmer until its the thickness you want. After simmering for the hour or so you can smash some of the beans to make it thicker I suppose you could do this in a crock pot too. It's sooo good! I make bean burritos with them.
I think you added too much water I like this type of meal thicker like a stew especially when you put in beans. Also I'm a single person and that recipe would feed me for months lol. Do you have a website where I could designate serving size?
I just tried the pasta with white beans. At 1.5 hours the pasta wasn't cooked so I let it go another half hour. I think I overcooked it. The flavour of the dish was good but the pasta was mushy and starchy. The kids didn't like the texture of it. I think next time I will just make it on the stovetop and cook the pasta separately to add to recipe. Should actually take less than an hour to make and the pasta won't get mushy or starchy.
I have a super easy way to cook pasta (Barilla never overcooks to mush, btw). Put pasta and water (any temp) to cover by at least 1” in a pot. Bring to a boil. Stir, cover, and remove from the heat. After one minute, stir again, cover, and let it sit off the heat for however long the box says to cook it. That’s it! Drain and serve.
My noodles disintegrated! And I am going to go ahead and officially call it.... I hate the veggie broth..... I've cooked with it so many times and just had to suffer through it..... I'm not going to give up though .... I'm going to continue trying to cook healthy lol
Cook the pasta separately. I'm 100% Italian, and we never cook pasta with other ingredients. It's a disgrace in our Italian cuisine. I know these recipes are meant to be quick , but you also want to enjoy the actual texture of well cooked or al dente pasta .
That better than Bullion , not vegan and she is eating non GMO full of chemicals. Why bother being vegan if you don’t care about pesticides on your food
Love the dump and go videos. I find the older I get, I seek quick and easy meals. Thank you.
Yay! I totally understand. I'm all about easy!
This is great! I didn't feel well enough to go shopping let alone think about what to make this week. I have all ingredients for all these meals. Tomorrow morning, I will make the beans. Other meals, later this week. Thank you!!!
I would recommend that you rinse your dry printo beans before putting them in the crockpot.
I thought she said she used canned.
She used dried beans.
I agree!
The last meal had dry beans@@dkendrafrancesco7270
She used canned!
The slow cooker is the MVP of kitchen appliances
It really is!
RUclips recommended this video to me and I’m so glad! My crockpot is my favorite cooking appliance. Everything looks delicious😊
I'm glad you like it! So glad you found me!!
Thank you. I love the recipe using dried beans - I hope that you continue sharing more of these.
Thank you! I'll keep that in mind!
I'll give these a try in my Instant Pot.
I want to do that too! How do you adjust the cooking time for the instapot?
@@HappyLife-wv5msit should have a slow cook feature, so you can keep the time the same

I am so glad you are here!! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! It means so much!!
Really want to try the second one. I have everything to do it. Your channel is where I learned about nutritional yeast.
That's amazing! Nutritional yeast is awesome! Yes the second recipe is so simple and yummy!
Thank you for the inspiration. Crockpot has been game changing as a busy mom with three kids.
Your kids crack me up! 😂
The peanut 🥜gallery has spoken 🤪
Thanks for the quick and simple recipes.
Great stuff! Thank you. 😊
I like to use my Instant pot. Probably these recipes would work.
Same here
It will work. Any pot will do the trick, but the crock pot does not require monitoring, and plain pot on stove top requires monitoring (of course).
I have an instant pot video coming this next week!
Looks good! Thanks for sharing!
Lime juice would have been amazing in the taco soup. 🍋🟩
Oh my gosh you are right!! I'll add it next time!
Another awesome video from the beautiful Ali. 3 Yummy 😋 vegan crock pot meals (I would probably make them in my instant pot using the slow cooker program). Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Ali & family.
Yes! Instant pot slow cooker function works great! Good to see you here every week David!
Just made the pasta dish; it's a winner! We added shredded artichoke hearts . The dish was so creamy and cozy. Love your recipes and videos. Thank you.
LOVE the idea of adding artichoke hearts!! I should have thought of that!
I love your recipes and videos! Very excited you've added more crockpot recipes. To keep your carrots fresher you need to store them in a little water!
Great tip! Thank you!!

I'm excited to check out her channel! Thank you for sharing!! And I can't wait to try your soup recipe too!
These all look great. 😋
Thank you!

I just started my pinto beans and I can't wait to try them. I bet some artichokes would be good in the pasta.
Love these ideas! Ignore the rude people in the comments.❤
Thank you!! Usually I do but sometimes it does get to me. 😬
Squash is a fruit... and deliciouse
Thank you, these are great. Throw it in and have it ready by dinner.
Yessss. It makes it so easy!
Great recoped. I would use way less salt in these recipes..
Rinse and soak beans, dump water and boil 15 min. With lid cracked. The gas will come out and you can hear the rumbling. Drain hot beans and rinse with water. Add to crockpot and cook high 4 hrs.
Oh my goodness such a great tip! I am going to try this next time I don't have time to cook them for 8 hours.
Thank you look so good can’t wait to try
How would you make the pasta dish in the instant pot? How much time do you think? On high pressure? Would you adjust the water?
I do enjoy your recipes, but I would enjoy them more if your blog had a printing option!
We are working on that! So sorry!
Do you have a cookbook?
Wow, looks great. Thanks.
Thank you!
Sadly I am allergic to cashews (and other nuts) and soy in regards to the taco soup. What can I do to get it creamy?
For that first recipe, i recommend not draining your beans and using less broth. Canned bean juice has a lot of starch and will thicken whatever soup you are putting it in. I almost never drain my canned beans!
Thats such a great tip! Thank you!! I can't wait to try it!
I was thinking the same. Or add a small amount of corn starch to thicken.
Could you link your can opener? You've mentioned it & I reeeeeeally need one. Thanks!
Do you use vegan cheese ? Any brands you like?
For the cream in #1, try using a ladle of the soup instead of milk to blitz the tofu.
Thanks for the tip!
How do I do the into bean in an instant pot?
Hello, I made the recipe, but my tofu curdled, I didn't use the frozen corn. Maybe we need to let it cool some before adding it.
I would prefer to do a tofu cream blob at the end in individual bowls.
Yes that will definitely help.
Pinto beans are hardest to digest. Try Peruvian beans or great northern beans
Can I use cans of pinto beans instead of the dry pinto beans?
You could. You would have to adjust the recipe. Wouldn't need all that water, already cooked so would be cooked on low and not very long.
@ thank you so much. I will follow your recipe. Have a happy and healthy New Year.
I would recommend soaking the beans or boiling them first to get rid of the lectins.
What is the brown ingredient in the glass jar I couldn't figure out what you said?
Bouillon
Better Than Bouillon. There are multiple vegan options.
I think you added too much water I like this type of meal thicker like a stew especially when you put in beans. Also I'm a single person and that recipe would feed me for months lol. Do you have a website where I could designate serving size?
For new recipes especially, I always halve the amounts. (I’m also single, and don’t want to eat the same meal for weeks.)
Yummo
Oh yeah, the last recipe was dried beans. So I would have rinsed them first.. Good idea with the salsa..
Store your carrots in water in the fridge they won’t turn white
And if they do turn white, you can rinse in water before putting in a bag/container for lunch.
I just tried the pasta with white beans. At 1.5 hours the pasta wasn't cooked so I let it go another half hour. I think I overcooked it. I’m surprised the acid in the pico doesn’t retard the cooking/softening of the beans.
what size is your crock pot, mine is a 4qt, would I need to just halve the ingredients??
Yymmy
❤
you know, i'm something of a "dump and go meal" myself
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My noodles disintegrated! And I am going to go ahead and officially call it.... I hate the veggie broth..... I've cooked with it so many times and just had to suffer through it..... I'm not going to give up though .... I'm going to continue trying to cook healthy lol
It’s brutal right? It’s been two years and my taste buds are still not on board lol
Try the Better Than Bouillon No Chicken broth and see if that helps. My husband likes the No Chik’n bouillon cubes. We get those at Natural Grocers.
Cook the pasta separately. I'm 100% Italian, and we never cook pasta with other ingredients. It's a disgrace in our Italian cuisine. I know these recipes are meant to be quick , but you also want to enjoy the actual texture of well cooked or al dente pasta .
@@JMCollin80 Totally on board with you on that one !!! Same here ...😱😱😱
Edwards and Sons Chick'n veggie cubes is my favorite
All corn is gmo
For the sake of your families teeth, I hope you "look" those dry beans first!! 😊
Dear god almighty, this constitutes cooking?
Hi! Cooking is defined as mixing and heating food, so YES, you have properly identified 'cooking' in this video. Good job!
That better than Bullion , not vegan and she is eating non GMO full of chemicals. Why bother being vegan if you don’t care about pesticides on your food
Specific flavors of Better Than Bouillon are clearly marked Vegan. The one in the video included. 😉
When cooking dried Beans, if you bringbyour luquid to a boil and add it, beans will be creamier
