Making A Fire Blower, Idea from History Channels "Alone"

Recently a large branch from a cherry tree came down in the woods behind my house and I have been wondering how I could use some it. So, inspired by the ingenuity of a participant on the history channel series "Alone" I decided to make a device called a "fire blower" that acts as a set of bellows. This device (which is essentially a large wooden straw) allows someone to feed oxygen to the heart of a campfire while keeping the user away from the flames. It is a nice quick project that took about 30 minutes, and is more than worth the time!
