IMO one of your best Mike! 7+ years now. How time flies. Here is the 1st of many comments on that video. Still holds true to today! I've got goosebumps! From the second this started playing till the end chills ran through my body. This is just an INCREDIBLE take on a classic Beatles song. Left me breathless for sure. You would be hard pressed to find anything like this out there. OUTSTANDING work from the vocals (Avonlea you are spectacular!) Sina's spot on drumming and finally getting to see the mastermind Mike (Sina's dad) not only show casing his musical talents (bass and guitar) but his edit and production work on this is Superb. TDDT, The Doering Dream Team is a force to be reckon with. Thank you so much ladies and gents! You are a blessing to the world! Now I'm gonna play this another 10 times or so and share it with EVERYONE! Sina's reply too! :) Wow, thanks so much, Steve, that must have been about the nicest comment I ever read! Feeling very flattered :) though we must not forget about Rick Benbow (check out his Strings arrangements for Status Quo's AQuostic Albums). He did all keys and orchestral parts for this recording. So proud to work with him!!
Sina, a fantastic job on a great song! Love the easy Rock and Roll as well as the Heavy Rock. You do both very well and it is great to watch and hear you play either! Wish all the best for you!❤️🌹
This is a good example of how good Ringo’s drumming was, and how he help shape the Beatle’s sound more then most people think, and Sina, well she’s a 10!
Sina has really great musical talents, in many areas of music. For me, what stands out about Sina, is far greater than her musical talents. It is how Sina always helps, works with and promotes other musicians. Sina is always down to earth, humble, modest, thankful. These are the things that makes Sina a great person, who is also very talented in music.
I have never heard this particular recording with Paul and Eric. Miss Sina played it beautifully. Thank you and those responsible for the making of this video for sharing. May all of you have a fantastic week.
A song covered for example by miss Shirley Bassey and mr. Tony Bennett. Both great examples by the way. I get the feeling that you are paying tribute with your choice of songs. First Toto and now the Beatles. You hit my soft spot with these songs. Great examples of the best music and musicians.
Haven't watched the concert for George in a long time, this was a really great tribute! I remember reading that "Something" was written by George for his then-wife Pattie Boyd, who ironically later married Eric Clapton who proceeded to write the ballad "Wonderful Tonight" for her. She was quite an inspiration apparently :)
I love this song by the Beatles Something was a brilliant song I think this was one of the few songs written by George and featuring his awesome guitar work. I also loved Avonlea’s cover it was outstanding an amazing voice beautiful vocals. Thank you Mike and Sina great memories.
Such a great song and a great performance! There's just something about this song, something great, something calming, something soothing. It just has a certain....something.
Love the drum cover of 'Something'! Sina brings a new level of energy and enthusiasm to this timeless classic. Her drumming complements Paul McCartney's iconic vocals and Eric Clapton's legendary guitar work perfectly. Great job!
Sina is a genius. What a wonderful way to play drums! I need to watch many times the video. This is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. You did a fantastic performance Sina. Tks for share.
I always loved the cover of Something with Avonlea, it is as beautiful a version as one is likely to hear ever. This one with Paul / Eric is unique and a lovely tribute to George, a song you must be very familiar with Mike as you played the ' George part' so well in your own Concerts. I have never been to the Royal Albert Hall, we once saw a photo of Sina standing on the steps, I think I'll save that visit until we see her playing inside :) Thanks Mike.
Dina, you are a great drummer, you always keep the beat and don’t overplay when the song doesn’t call for it. You have good dynamics, good time, good technical chops and a sense of musicality.
Thank you Mike and Sina. This touches my heart deeply as I hear Paul discussing his dear friend and brother Paul. Outstanding work by Sina and Mike as always
Love to see young drummers respecting Ringo - he was incredibly creative and everything he played added to the song without ever getting in the way. I wonder how many modern drummers would come up with a part like that?
This video got me thinking. In the past, when talking about Keith Moon, Sina said, ” I don’t think he sees himself as a drummer or a timekeeper but as another melody instrument.” That’s kind of how I feel about the Sina experience. Clearly she is more than just a drummer. She brings her boosted drums and so much more, with added boosted visuals and a very good attitude that puts her product in high regard. I hope I live many more years to experience more of what you guys are offering. I know there are big things in the works, with business studies and such underway. It’s and exciting time and I’m looking forward while exploring the work you already have produced, time permitting. Best Wishes from Colorado. Sina - you're a wonderful artist, fantastic drummer and a beautiful young woman...I can only hope that, someday, someone will write a song as beautiful as this for you. Just for you.
Wow .. it's outstanding. Happy birthday Mr Paul ,...we love you forever ❤🍀🎶 Great drum, play with Paul and Eric...what a fun ! Thanks for this masterpiece ❤❤️❤️❤️🎶🍀❤️🎶

Oh, I don't know ; the version with Avonlea, to me, sounds at least as good, if not slightly better. If I'm not mistaken, that version's arrangement was based on the same concert as this here cover.
Thanks, I take it as a compliment. The Avonlea version was a studio recording, with Sina on drums, Avonlea on vocals and ukulele, Rick Benbow on keyboards, myself on guitar and bass. Obviously, when recording in a studio, it's easier to accomplish the sound you have in mind. The version that I used as a backing track for THIS video, is a live version, which had to be manipulated in order to turn it into a drumless track. Considering all those circumstances, the Avonlea version SHOULD actually sound better and I'm glad if it does :)
Thanks again Mike for posting another sina classic cover definitely the best drummer in the world and merry Christmas to you and Thanks for all your posts this year😊
Mmm, very lovely, Sina. I'm so glad you found a way to cover a Beatles song. And what a great tribute to George that was! But you know what? It would be AWESOME if you could manage a cover of "Here Comes the Sun" where the drum part is absolutely wild, with time signature changes all over the place.
@@ChiMightBReal Oh my gosh, seven years ago -- thank you for that heads up! Your cover is superb, and you even played Paul's intricate bass part, which George famously said was "too fussy." Ha-ha!

@@ChiMightBReal... and yes, I did recognise the arrangement. Not bad for a non-musician, if I do say so myself... 😉
Whatever happened to Avonlea? After Damien died she released "Green" and then vanished? Such an amazing talent!

Most excellent. Sinas' technical cover was flawless and Mikes technical rendering was flawless as well.
Timeless and majestic. Sina, back in time and majestic. Rock on, brave drummer. Thank you so much, Mike.
I loved this song in 2016 with Avonlea. Works great for a cover in 2024, thanks Mike for the music. Sina is wonderful!!
