This kids living one of my dreams, to play or sing any part of this song. Great work! I loved it!
Playing those piano keys over and over for 6 minutes 30 seconds has to be HARD! Nice keys
Kinda weird that James Murphy covered these kids's song but whatever
Fumber Bumpkin i was thinking the same thing dude
broo drummer with the talk talk shirt! these guys know whats up
And here I am a year later, still listening to this gem on rotation. I love how it starts out kind of choppy, a bit scared, but through the song, it all comes through. They are all in tune. Brilliant, really.
I love this, it’s pretty messy but in the best possible way!
Yeah, it was a bit shaky before the drummer came in, but he pulled everyone together.
Nice one guys! As someone else said loved seeing how the scrappy start turned into a full on groove, despite being like a 2 chord song the piano part has a weird polyrhythm, which you got into after a bit. But this song is all about the feels! And you nailed it! Seeing the little looks between you is flipping great. Singer is badass. Yall should treasure this
i love seeing kids doing music, i know this kinda messy, but seeing kids play, it reminds me we need to always allow ourselves to be beginners for us to learn and be good at something. i love seeing kids play and enjoying themselves, they nailed this cover and James Murphy would be so proud
All My Friends from Brazil
Singer’s great
wow those vocals are amazing!
I'm so glad you like them.
One of the things I love about their playing is how well they handle the build up towards the end of the song. Griffin on drums is rock steady, and I love Anna's vocals.
one of my favorite songs...hello från Sverige!!!
Absolutely, the drummer and singer held this song together nicely.
This is soooo f-ing beautiful!!!!❤
🕉🌌
Holy smokes, you guys need to be arrested cause this cover KICKED MY ASS it was so good. Awesome job!
This is outstanding. LCD is my favorite band and you guys nailed it.
Glad you enjoyed it.
A+ totally slaps
As a person who did musical theatre and knowing how many lyrics there are to memorize in this song, I love the moment at 5:48 when the lead singer's left hand emerges onto the mic stand, with what appears to be a key word of the first lyric in each stanza. James Murphy literally does this live with his longer songs; he tapes an actual lyric sheet on a piece of equipment near his drummer, removes each page when finished, scrunches it up and throws it away.
To me that adds to the idea that this 'School of Rock.' These talented kids are still students, and students write shit on their hands. I loved that. Everyone performing should be really proud, and I look forward to what else you can come up with. The rhythm section kept it so tight despite the songs length. Bravo.
I'm glad you dug it. This was a passion project for the show director, who relished the opportunity to introduce this music to these kids.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 I learned about LCD went I was 24 so these students got a lovely gift nice and early.
Loved this!!! What a tune and a great cover once you guys found your rhythm 👌🏻 👏🏻 🙌🏻
Randomly stumbled on this. Good cover of my favorite song by my favorite band.
Very happy that you dug it! I always worry when putting what I think is a great performance up, what big fans of the band will think. They had a few stumbles in rhythm during the first minute of the song, but after the drums built up, it gave them a really solid foundation. Anyway, thanks again!
Haha they’re kids. Stumbles are forgivable. They did really well and the vocalist has a really engaging voice.
Epic stuff kids. James would be proud
I hope somebody shows it to him.
Piano player is so cute!! Smiling away!!!
She had a very difficult job to do and did it wonderfully well.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 They are awesome!!!
great age to appreciate this song, You makes me feel alive
This particular program of music was a labor of love by the pair of teachers who were in charge of the show, and they appreciated the opportunity to introduce the music of their youth to these young people.
Thanks guys! Great job! 👍👏🏼👍👏🏼
Did this get posted somewhere? All of a sudden there have been a whole bunch of comments in the last week.
well done you guys - this is an extreemly complicated song, composed and played by world class multi instrumentalists - you knocked it out of the park !
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always worry how big fans will react.
This is just great
Great job guys, the timing and build up was fantastic. Well done!
great job guys. happy to see this generation still has hope in good taste in music. love you guys
This is so good. The pace getting faster and faster throughout the song... what an amazing performance
I'm so glad you liked this. They were a tiny bit unstable before the drummer came in, who is rock solid.
I can't stop watching this. Well done folks!
Madeleine Bertrand Glad you dug it! Their teachers love this music and passed that love along to these kids.
So young and already a great voice.
Drummer killed it
This was phenomenal! Its so cool to see kids with such talent. They could build such a great band together. Props to the teacher too. And why has this taken so ling to show up in my recommendations?
Honestly no idea. This is one of my favorite performances that I recorded, but most of my recommended videos are from a generation or two earlier in rock history.
the halcyon days before a red baseball cap didn't mean the orange baby
I have a playlist where this has been added to the many wonderful covers, stick with it through its flaws, then love it because of its flaws
It's a little shaky until the drummer comes in, but once he does, he pulls the whole band together.
Solid cover Oak Park School of Rock!
Soooo good you guys! Bravo
Awesome! Very well done!
Good for you guys!!!
this is a beutiful mess . stick with it kids
True, kind of like your spelling and grammar. 🤘
Basso e batteria numeri uno!
Very smooth performance. Good job guys
Thanks on their behalf.
This show was my introduction to LCD Soundsystem.
Molto bene. In Italia, alle scuole medie, insegnano ancora a suonare il piffero.
Bravi

Wow!
Bless the almighty algorithm! 🙏
s/o too drummer wearing talk talk shirt
Talk Talk are one of humanities greatest achievements!
6:10!!!!
ThisSheetB4RealYo Glad you dig it!
James did not deserve this but I'm so glad they did it anyway
cool cover, this shows how hard it is to do that piano part. good try.
She does so well!
Great for the musicians in this video! My respect to you guys. The vocalist was the odd one out, thou.
Yep. I actually believe that to make justice to this song one has to take classes in method acting or something. You have to _believe_ in the lyrics. Murphy pours his soul all over our ears with every syllable. You can't sing this song if you're not willing to at least try to feel it. It's a guy singing about getting old. Murphy is not even a vocal genius (although he is a genius in countless other ways) but he can make you feel the lyrics deep down inside you, even if you can't relate to them exactly, the emotion is so blatantly exposed that you can't help but have an empathetic reaction. And this cover, like many others before it, fails to realize the true nature of Murphy's vocals. The lyrics alone are outstanding, but once you hear Murphy singing them, they become something much deeper. People who sing this should dive head first into the turmoil. It may not even be 100% safe to do so, emotionally, but it's the only right way to do it.
Kauan R. M. Klein they're clearly kids, give them a break they did a fairly good job
Hey, the singer has braces, cut some slack. 😃👍🤙 Nice work by these kids.
This is really good! It started off kinda off but picked up soon
It was tricky before they had the drums come in, but when he did, it was amazing.
