I was front row for this. This was a part of an amazing summer of shows in Chicago. Pavement played the night after. Modest Mouse the night before. Arcade Fire closed out Lollapalooza and killed it. Moby, Chemical Bros and others just funked out at Northcoast. I love this city.
This was my first time seeing them. I sent this video to SO MANY people to tell them how incredible LCD was live. I've seen them nine times now and still get ao pumped every time. One of the best live bands on the planet
I honestly believe it’s one of the greatest songs ever penned on paper.. the idea, the rawness... its crazy! Maybe coz I can relate to everything Murphy sings about... ‘I can still come home to this’!! 🔥
It had been a long, hot day and this song woke everyone up again. Cool to see here the crowd first moving a little, then more hands going up and by the end everyone’s going nuts. James feeling it at 6:18. I was near the back of the crowd where the longest train I’ve ever seen weaved through. This song was one of the more magical, fun moments I’ve experienced at a show. So glad it was captured on film.
Looking back at this day.... HOLY FUCK! James Murphy you are the best. The fact that I experienced this about 30 feet from the man himself... unreal. Thanks for re-uploading this.
.......another video showcasing the difference we all have come to expect, and respect..... James is playing his ass off, in a heat wave, and instructs a roadie to get another cold water up here for Nancy! without skipping a beat. He is famous for handling the stage and all its components. Go read up on the set......he built the entire "sound system", and all fixtures.......including the furniture. LCD Sound System. DFA Records. James Murphy. Period.

This is the best live performance of this song. Amazing.
Absolutely without a doubt!
It has a real sense of urgency
No way LCD @ Jools Holland live. Amazeballs!!
@@brosephyolonarovichstalin2915 In this one, the guitar come crashing in at 2:33 a bit too loud IMHO @ Madison Square Garden 2011 is the best version.

Makes me happy to think of friendships aging gracefully through the decades.
Best live version ever. Amazing!
This band is tight as fuck. Flawless performance

This song rolls downhill in the most sexy as fuck way. It's teetering and never loses control. God damn.

Sounds like Steve Brule at the beginning
Ahh, the good old concerts, without a sea of phones in the air and in the way, and people watching and rocking the concert not their phone.
2:35 New Order has entered the chat...
This is the little cousin thrice removed of Temptation 😊
the only way to watch this is at maximum volume
kalanidmb17 on headphones
I like this version better than the MSG version. It's more raw.
