- In car footage from the Victor Bray - Peter Kapiris accident during the 2nd qualifying session of the 2012 Australian National. Victor Bray's computer showed that when he and Peter came together the Sidchrome 1957 Chevy Top Doorslammer was doing 156 mph.
This clip really shows how special the bond is between Vic and Marie..it's lovely to see.........

Which also makes me wonder why he didn't get out of it as soon as he saw the guy in the other lane in trouble? He had everything to lose and nothing to gain. And I don't for a minute believe it's because he was concentrating on his own car in his own lane. He moved left, so he knew something was going wrong.
When I was stuck in the middle of three wide going into a turn, I darn well knew what was going on BOTH sides of me. This was before radios were affordable for the weekly racer. It was even before the officials had radios.
