- Victor Bray, it's Australian for Top Doorslammer. The first international episode for Legends: The Series travels to Brisbane, Australian, to chat with an Aussie drag racing legend.
Bray, long considered one of the pioneers for Pro Modified style drag racing in Australia, made the unlikely journey from fifth-generation farmer to first-generation multi-time series champion.
Bray, like many of his American drag racing counterparts, used a passion for drag racing and a lust for horsepower, to propel himself into drag racing legend Down Under. In this episode, Bray discusses how this car crazy kid turned into one of his country's most successful drag racers and did it with an undying love and dedication to his family.
GOOD ON YA MATE, FROM NZ OVER THE DITCH. YA A LEGEND. NO BULLSHIT GUY DOWN TO EARTH .
Absolute living legend of Australian Drag Racing and will always will be
i watched ben put his lunch down to sign my daughters t-shirt i will never forget that
I remember seeing Ben race Junior Dragsters at Willowbank. I was also there when Victor broke the WR.
Few things weren't 100% right, but for the most part that was pretty much how it went down. I was just glad to have been part of the era. I look back on those days with great fondness. A time of both great competition and friendship. Don't think anyone could argue that Victor earned his place in the group.
You'll always be the king of Aussie doorslammer racing mate ❤
The family is amazing. My son enjoyed the time he worked for Victor.
You deserve everything. You truly are a legend of the sport. Ive always known who you were through my dad first then my own eyes.

Will never forget the time at AIR when Victor told me to jump the corporate bunting just so he could sign my poster of his 57 chev. Unreal. That would have been nearly 27 years ago.
Maybe I need to take my 57 to Australia since all I can do is full track burnouts.I would love to meet this guy, I could listen to him for hours.
Keep it up 👍👍👍👍

That's closer to a skullet than a mullet.
The 1 thing i learned from this, is that the old Australian accent has just about completely died.

A true gentleman and champion.
the usa had their wild bunch before scotty cannon came along
Yep, we were the Outlaws and no sanction wanted us till I.H.R.A. took us in.
Yep I believe it started with Tommy Howe, who came out here with Camp Stanley. Those guys were an absolute blast to hang out with. Still chuckle to myself thinking about Camp Stanley and the fat-agram chick. From memory I think her name was Rosie.
