    Which of these would you recommend for an everyday driver and towing a trailer in the mountains?

    on a 2022 weight loss truck with TCM tuning, what are you thoughts 64 vs 67g2? Not sure how these these new transmissions will hold the power with trans tuning? Have you got some miles on them say with 650whp? or is that just too much for them? Also i love the turbo sound, how do these sound in comparison to stock?

      It depends on your goal with the truck. If you want to go big in power we suggest the 67. If you want a turbo for towing and daily driving, we suggest the 64.

    Hey nick can we get some insight on the new 9 blade turbine wheels that companies are coming out with for the drop in duramax lml turbos? The 9 blade wheel claims 2-3 lbs more boost and 100* drop in egts how come duramaxtuner doesn't use a 9 blade wheel?

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  Год назад +1

      There's no magic number when it comes to compressor/turbine wheel blade count. In reality the pitch of the blades, shape of the blades, and blade count all tie in together.

    Great video! I got a STR from you guys last week. So what is the total differences in the STR? Bigger wheel only it sounds like? Will this be a noticeable difference in power and turbo noise?

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  Год назад

      Yes sir. Sound will differ and the STR with the compressor wheel is more power capable.

    Would this turbo be beneficial to a truck without the exhaust? And is there a 67 mm option available with the vein technology?

      If you are looking for performance, airflow, and more horsepower. This turbo will work perfectly for your truck.

    Hey Nick, is the STR quicker spooling than the stock charger and the 64mm?

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  2 месяца назад

      We don't have data to show it is. Nothing spools quicker than stock, but the STR is the quickest spooling turbo in our line.

    Will the 64mm work with an edge evo ht2?

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  Год назад

      It should. In that aspect, to be sure the STR would be best suited with a box programmer.

    Curious, about what does one of your turbos weigh? I'm building an OM606 (3L Mercedes mechanical injected turbo diesel). My power goal is around 400-450 wheel. I already have a turbo, but I'm worried it might fall short. I'll find out soon enough. I don't want to go to a truck sized turbo, but if I need more air, then I don't have much choice. Many folks run a holset hx40 or an hx52 to hit 600 horse. Turbo I have now is pretty similar to the LM2 turbo, its a custom Garrett GT2260V from a BMW, with a larger compressor, turbine, and custom vgt aperature. Can't wait to get it finished.

      Thats awesome @Akya2120 ! Our lighter non-VGT turbos weight in at about 40lbs and our larger VGT turbos can weight as much as 50lbs.

      @@Duramaxtuner I hope one day there's a reasonably sized VGT for cars lol. This one is about 16.5lbs, but if it doesn't move enough air then the next step up is +35lbs 😅

      @@Akya2120 Our DT44 turbo is a VGT turbo that is reasonably sized for a car however it is probably the same if not smaller than the turbo you are currently running. Maybe give our LM2 turbo upgrade a look when it's officially announced.

      @@Duramaxtuner 56/79 compressor, 58/56 turbine with a custom VGT ring.
      They say it'll make 490+ on the M57, but the air demand is higher in the OM606. I'm hoping for 400-450.
