The lock washer that can be seen at 0:23 is backwards in the video, the solid surface should is against the hub as it locks to the bike frame when the nut is fastened.

You put the cog on backwards. LOL. You didn't use a vise, so you couldn't properly show how to set the bearing play. Very important. SA 3 hubs are way easier to build.

Thank you Sire :) I have made lots of photos during disassembly, but this will surely help. You mentioned you use lithium based grease, I was wondering if that's the go-to grease, or you just happen to have that lying around. Would silicone grease be a good substitute, or should I go and buy a lithium based one (I also have grease labelled "Graphite")?
Thank you for watching! :) My advice is go buy lithium based grease, it's cheap and you can use it on most parts of the bike, especially on vintage bikes. Graphite grease and silicone grease are not recommended for this type of job. Avoid that grease. :D

Hi, I loved your video so much that was helpful when trying to mend the hub.
My problem is that, when all the three gears exist and works there is a NOT regular clicking when pushing down any of the pedals. Sometimes comes the sound and doesn't depend on the force I push
the pedal.
Other problem, when I pull backward the bike there is a quiet slipping sound.
The coaster brake is working but not powerful enough. I tried to build in the brake shoes without any grease, but it wasn't succesful. Do you have any idea about my problems ( if they were clear)?

hello sir I have similar model on that bike. The problem is the push rod doesn't working and seems no spring holding on while pushing in. What possibly is damaging inside nobody will try to check this because this bike is imported here in the Philippines and no spare parts available.thanks
You need to try fixing it by yourself. Firstly you need to disasemble the hub, and see what is the problem there. You can order the broken part from ebay. If you can detect problem, mybe I have needed part.

These hubs get bashed a lot. Its deserved, probably. I just already have one!
