My parents had every album Dionne made, but I discovered this song as an instrumental on Stevie Wonders album where he played it on Harmonica! Check his version out too because is something I've listened to half my life. That's how much impact it has. Burt Bacharach wrote some of the best songs of his generation! I cannot wait to see Cynthia in the Wicked movie. She is going to devour the role as Elphaba!
Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote this and most everything else for Dionne- she was their Muse. Cynthia can sing anything. She played Aretha Franklin very well on TV as well. Cher sang this to perfection as well! ❤
